If men are 18% more likely than women to ask for a grade change, it means if 5% of women ask, then 5.9% of men do. The study seems pretty legit, but there should be a couple things noted here: It's an observational study/survey, not an experiment. The chief finding of the study is that men are more likely to ask for grade changes than women are.
