So am I the only one here who thinks the backlash against this show is a bit over-the-top. We've got plenty of shows about vigilantes already and a lot of them don't have any underlying message about vigilante-ism, but for some reason we're supposed to be mad now that it's about women attacking sexual-assault perpetrators. I mean, you can make the argument that this show glorifies vigilante-ism, committing violent acts and taking the law into your own hands, but that's been the status quo for TV…

Yeah, this isn't that rare at all. I'd estimate at least 15% of guys feel this way, my self included. No, not just as a strategy. It's probably hard for women to see that because they've had it drilled in their heads, from their parents to their teachers to their TV shows, that men only want one thing. But I think that statement has only made boys who do want an emotional and intellectual connection with women double down on that feeling. In the meantime it's made those men a lot harder to trust…

I actually came to write a comment about how, even though this is satire and it probably won't amount to anything, it's fucking stupid to try and ban a movie from someone just because I might disagree with its politics. (I haven't even seen the movie, and for all I know I will like it and even appreciate what it has to say.) Luckily, I've been beaten to the punch. I know the petition was made just to make a point, and that no theater in the world would listen to a bunch of "MRA man baby man pig …

What I'm unclear on is the general opinion regarding gender. Honestly, I think the views on gender expressed in the MensRights sub are too diverse to generalize. I've seen a lot of people being blatantly misogynistic on this sub. But I've also seen a lot of people here speaking out against that. I think the MensRights group, rather than being a group that pressures it's members to share all the same beliefs and politics, is just a group of misfits who believe in the same set of goals. That being…

So your son, who I'm assuming you're currently raising, says something you disagree with, and instead of having a conversation about it where you can teach him why, you think, his viewpoint is wrong, your response is to instead shame him on a public forum and threaten to constantly bring it up for the rest of his life, never letting him forget his "mistakes." Isn't this blatant fucking emotional abuse? If you're a parent and you do this, seek counseling. If your parents do this to you, no matter…

So I know this question's already been answered extensively, but 'd like to add, just because you're not obligated to give them your reasoning for breaking up doesn't mean it's not incredibly shitty to keep that person in the dark when you know being open with that person could make a huge difference in his or her life. "You're not obligated" is just an excuse to treat people like shit. It doesn't mean you shouldn't treat them well whether you're obligated or not. Honestly, tell the guy the trut…

This doesn't sound like an issue of sexual attraction It's fine you have that opinion, but it certainly seemed like "OP was trying to tie that explanation into sexual attraction" to me. And I'd say it makes sense that women would partly prefer Chads because they don't require the same amount of commitment or loyalty, because that is a big plus for casual sex. This doesn't sound like an issue of sexual attraction, and I don't think OP was trying to tie that explanation into sexual attraction. Why…

Isn't it just "Chads" just inspire more sexual desire in them? The thing is, the causes of sexual desire go much deeper than just "I find x sexy." There's always a reason - often a subconscious one - as to why certain genders, or individuals, are attracted to certain things, and OP is looking at just one of the factors that could lead to women being attracted to alpha men. So it's not that "Chad's just inspire more sexual desire" in women, it's that Chad's inspire more sexual desire in women bec…

Why are people who want something different from the majority called liars? Because it's a lot easier to judge others and pretend you're better than them than it is to accept others as individuals and respect their choices. Also it's just hard for some people to imagine someone who has a different thought process/biological and psychological make-up from themselves, so when they experience someone who doesn't cow-toe to the status-quo, they look for an easy way to justify it. This obviously does…

In what way did I say that? For the record, I'm not judging you for coming here and debating people with anecdotal evidence. Anecdotal evidence from others that supports a different perspective can help you keep yourself in check and realize when you're being biased. But if you're only forming your opinions on anecdotal evidence, and aren't checking into facts and logic, you're perspective doesn't really have ground to stand on. Also, if you're only willing to argue anecdotal evidence, what's ev…

Nice try? What are you getting at? You're saying I should continue to argue anecdotal evidence, when he's just going to respond with more anecdotal evidence? I've seen how this sub works, and while I will admit there's a lot of anecdotal evidence around, there's a lot of logic and rebuts to Red Pill/Blue Pill philosophy as well. Attacking an anecdote isn't going to do shit, but attacking a conclusion by providing facts or reasonable possibilities can change minds.

Yeah, I guess you could count it as sigma. Well said.

Not really. I know alpha-types who are great with women and constantly give a fuck what they think of them; they just play their cards right to get the reaction they want. In fact, that's what the Red Pill is all about. In contrast, I literally didn't give a fuck what women thought of me, and I got no where with them, because I wasn't trying. EDIT: Well the word "literally" doesn't make sense in this context, but you get my point.

You are in the minority. The vast majority of women would rather be men, if for no other reason than to not have to go through menopause, menstrual cycles, and childbirth. And the vast majority of men would never trade for being a woman. Honestly, this would make for a great poll topic. Obviously I don't have evidence of how most men and women would feel about this, just anecdotal nonsense. I doubt you have evidence either, otherwise you probably would have posted it by now. We should probably j…

I think he had a beta mindset, (in the sense he was a legitimately nice guy who was shy, artistic, intelligent, in touch with his emotions and even his feminine side, etc.) but he lived life his own way, got stinking rich, and probably fucked so many women that he obtained an immense understanding of female nature. He was no Chad Thundercock. He was better. As an alternative to a natural alpha, Bowie is what many natural Betas/Omegas should aspire to be. (Depending on their skill sets, obviously…

there's sexual motivation at play here. His dick is in charge at the moment. Oh, definitely! I won't deny that. But he has to do what he can to help. If they've been friends for 22 years, that sounds like a close friendship, so I think OP should at least try his best.

Ask yourself, would you trade being a woman for being a man, if given the option? No, you wouldn't would you? Ha! I totally fucking wood! If I'm a woman, I don't have to walk down the street. I have so many social programs to keep me from being homeless that... well, I have no ending for that statement. But even if I were to be homeless as a woman, I would have loads of shelters and support to help me out, and nearly everyone I run into, whether man or woman, would have a bias towards helping me…

Some people have to learn the hared way And some people don't. And we can't expect other men to "save themselves" when they aren't even truly aware of the threat. These seem like things we tell ourselves to justify our own apathy. OP, you've shown him Red Pill philosophy which he agrees with to an extent, so there's a start, but obviously he doesn't buy the whole thing. Other posters are right that you can't force someone to take the pill, and even if you could, you shouldn't, because people hav…

I would much rather be a guy out in the wilds and in the 'concrete jungle' than a woman. OK, if we're talking about "out in the wild," that's a fair statement. But in modern society, definitely not. In what ways do they "choose to be homeless?" That's genuine curiosity, by the way, not anything hostile. I don't know if you mean they choose to be homeless because everyone's responsible for their own actions and they didn't do enough to change their lifestyle, or if you mean they look at a cost/be…

It is STILL, and always will be, better being a guy. This will NEVER change Yeah, no. As long as I'm at a far greater risk of being assaulted, murdered, homeless, unemployed or drafted, all the while having to keep every problem to myself because I'll be criticized and/or ostracized just for being honest about negative emotions, and as long as I hold zero cards in the reproductive rights/relationship game, I'm certain I have it worse than most women in my social/economic class. Hell, just having…

They say "women are like X" when they don't have to. There's no point in not distinguishing between what's specific to humans and what's specific to women. Why not make that distinction? EDIT: You'll still be informing people about women either way, so "the Red Pill is only talking about women" doesn't seem like a valid answer.

Technically, since both men and women wear underwear or under clothing of some kind, according to you, that person should research the underwear sales patterns for men, just because all people wear under wear. This is kind of a separate issue because we're talking about sales rather than having a legitimate discussion about the nature of one gender. In one example, our entire motive is to make money. In the other, our entire motive is knowledge and understanding of a gender's behaviour. What may…

We have no responsibility to be accurate to satisfy all peoples feelings and thoughts. But we do have a responsibility to be accurate to better understand the world around us, and work towards a better society. If you're interested in the behaviour of a particular gender, and you're not going to consider the fact that the other gender (assuming gender isn't a spectrum rather than a dichotomy, which we, as a species, aren't really sure of yet) often shows the exact same behaviour, you're not doin…

Why does the Blue pill butt in to discussions about women and say "Men do that too, it's people not women"? Because it's true! If you're only blaming women for behaviour that is shared by the entire human race, you're being unnecessarily selective, let alone manipulative, even if it's just to yourself. There's no point to only blaming half the perpetrators of a common problem. And it doesn't derail the conversation either. If anything, their contribution is valuable because they're clearing up i…

I know quite a few Blue Pill, "progressive" women in real life, and while they may talk the talk about ending gender roles, they're still ogling the Don Drapers of the world, pursuing "hunky" guys by being indirect/actively lying, and looking specifically for LTRs with men who can do typically male house work like plumbing, home improvement, mowing the lawn, etc. Some of them even said "I wish I lived in the 1950s," a time when women's roles were restricted to mother and care-taker. (At least cu…
