The main character (a woman comedian in her fifties) is the subject of rumors that she had an affair. During a speech confirming the rumors as true, she notes that some of her (insane feminist) fans said it should be OK for her to cheat on her husband because oppreshun and because apparently it would be OK if a man did it, to which she responds that it would be unacceptable for a man to do it and it was also unacceptable that a woman did it.
This movie wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be as far as pushing the social justice crap (it mocks SJWs at times and even calls out some sexist double standards that favor women), but it just wasn’t all that entertaining or funny.
But it says they are co-parenting. All you need in the USA is that he “held himself out” as the father. This guy absolutely can be sued for child support.
They don’t have to. Everyone is OK with giving them a pass. Nothing is ever their fault unless it is something they do to something even lower on the progressive stack.
If a guy is into you, he’s probably not interested in being just friends. He wants a relationship or nothing. You should prefer that over a beta orbiter. Why would a self respecting guy want to get into a close platonic relationship with a girl he has feelings for so he can watch her get into a relationship with another guy?
Fat but at least less delusional than most...? Like her standards are likely not going to be met, but I feel like that’s better than her dating someone she doesn’t want just so she can have someone. We complain all the time on this sub about women getting with men they’re not attracted to for money or to get a father for their kid. At least she’s not interested in doing that.
Moral of the story: do not get involved with a women who isn’t into you. Don’t let this situation happen to you. It always frustrates me to see how blind some guys are to a woman who is blatantly trying to use them, either for a rebound relationship or for a bailout, because the guy is too lonely and/or desperate to do any kind of critical thinking.
So the other argument that’s made is women don’t negotiate much when it comes to salary. I know it is true in my house because while my wife basically takes whatever is offered, I take a hard line and have already turned down several jobs this year due to them not paying enough. I wonder if there’s any truth to this in a macroeconomic sense.
So many reasons this one’s a catch! Intersectional feminist (translation: hates white people and men; likely wouldn’t treat any prospective boyfriend with much respect) Fat Smokes Worthless college major Wants a man to spend money on her Snarky comment in bio suggests serious self-esteem issues Doesn’t seem to want to get a real job and support herself anytime soon Says she doesn’t want a hookup... on TINDER
Also, unlike a lot of the other women who make it on here, she makes her own money ($150,000 per year) and doesn’t seem to be looking for a meal ticket.
Lots of good comments as well, though. My personal favorite was someone claiming Reddit has no empathy because lots of people were saying leaving was a totally acceptable decision to make in this situation. Apparently empathy doesnt include empathy for a man who was cheated in and lied to by a woman who never loved him.
