In traditional societies, women passed on the norms and culture to the next generation. Second to birthing the next generation, this was their most important job. Lately they have abrogated this job and society is deteriorating because of it. But they are having fun, so there's that.

The most important traditional role of women was to pass on the culture to the next generation. Men had a part in this, but the bulk of the job of crafting civil society was done by the women. They have stopped doing this, or are passing on a culture that produces poorer results in many ways. Men are often too busy with the physical world to do this critical job. The government has moved in to fill this vacant job through childcare and schools. The results are typical of government work.

I suspect many of these studies, since they do not do research on each individual divorce case but rather look at statistics, determine that the person who filed the divorce case is the one who is leaving. There was a law in 1860s. Legislature passed a new law less restrictive than old law, but didn't repeal old law. So both laws are in effect. If legislature wants to a less restrictive legal environment, they need to repeal old law. This applies to any situation, not just abortion. Legislature screwed up. Put blame there.

Only work for a large company for long enough to get some good skills and experience, then move to a very small company or start your own. The women often just promote other women in large companies but none of them have the skills to do real work. They then have to contract out the real work, and there you will be, to do it for as much as the market will bear.

I divorced when I was 48. In a few years I married someone who was 35. She worked and kept house. Then, when I was 65, we added another female to the family who was 28. They have been living with me for 20 years and 3 years. Both work and the younger one is also getting a degree. Your life is only a mess if you allow it to stay a mess. Knowingly making a false accusation should be punishable by the maximum punishment for the crime falsely accused... plus a little bit extra for wasting the effort of the police and judicial system. I'm not religious, but one of the commandments about false witness against your neighbor would cover this, but we no longer teach those basics.

Yup...not smart with money. I went no contact with her,so I had no idea what she was doing except what I heard through our mostly-grown kids. I have to see her at birthday parties for grandkids, but that's about all. I'm much happier not knowing what she's doing and I really don't care.

About...she had a pretty good job...RN, but decided she didn't need to work for a couple years because of all the money. After taxes and the early withdrawal penalties and down payment on a house, and all the stuff she NEEDED, it didn't go far.

When I got divorced at about age 50, we each got about a half million in my 401k. Within 5 years she was broke and had ruined her credit. She is still working at age 68. I retired about 8 years after the divorce with about a million in the 401 k, and it has grown since then. So no, it doesn't necessarily double the expenses. It cut my expenses to about a quarter of what they were since she was solely responsible for her profligate ways.

I agree, ... double the sentence for the crime you falsely accused another of. 1X for the false accusation, and another 1X for the effort you caused everyone to clean up your mess. Only exception would be capital murder, where I'd be ok with executing the false accuser only once.
