I would from a kid that was a gamer. As for buying a 2nd hand laptop, never. Desktops are easy to fix and like the other guy said software problems are worse. If you know not much about computers it's probably better to spend the extra money and have a warranty. Most pc components don't fail that often. Power supplies and occasionally hard drives. Hard drive is the hardest to replace because Windows software is needed and spendy.
