You're trying to make a philosophical argument while, between ramblings of "brainwashing," presupposing that your opinion is the only possible correct one. Personally, I'm not interested in the slightest in the moral debate between pro and anti circumcision fanatics.. as I said before, I'm only here to try and correct misinformation on a scientific basis. I think whether it's justified or not is up to the individual's interpretation. It's not a black and white issue in the slightest. People on both sides of the issue tend to make a presumptive decision, then hear evidence supporting it and then imagine those claims to be more significant than they truly are. Infants are not sexually active The issue of relative risk between infant and adult circumcision has already been discussed ad nauseum earlier in this thread. I'd suggest you read those posts to understand why "they can just have it done as adults" isn't a truly sound argument. Even so, infants do frequently get UTI's, which can cause significant morbidity and mortality, and which are decreased in incidence by circumcision. Please read my post thoroughly before replying, sir. In it, I explained exactly why those individual cherry-picked studies do not prove that circumcision is non-protective against HIV transmission. If you refuse to accept that a small minority of a body of medical literature can fall within the realm of type I and type II error, then I don't really have anything else I can say to you. That site is a great expose at showing how a non-trained reader can misinterpret the impact and statistical significance of multiple different and unrelated studies on a similar subject. Pubmed indexes the medical literature - it doesn't give it away for free. I've seen studies out of Africa, but each one has glaring methodological flaws, or doesn't present their entire methodology and data. It says 4x as likely to have complications as an adult, but I can't find the info about deaths (in this, only mention of death is 1 out of 750 circs in one of the studies they looked at). You misunderstand - in medicine, the term "morbidity" generally refers to an unhealthy state, while "mortality" refers to death.
