I mean duh they're still developing so their birthrates haven't dropped as much yet but they're trending down just like every other country

No it is an ideal scenario because unfortunately in reality most relationships aren't like this. In a perfect world this would be the basic norm but it simply isn't.

That's my point, that in actuality past actions do actually have some bearing on your future in many/most cases and that someone having a very high number of previous partner may say something about what to expect in the future

Sure my point was only that broadly stating that someone's past actions have no bearing on their future actions is not generally how we see things for most cases so I don't see why it would be that way in the specific case of sleeping around. I don't personally care that much myself, up to a point, but there are some studies that correlate past partner count with likelihood of divorce

There's studies that do in fact correlate number of past partners with likelihood of divorce so there's clearly potential for that to have a detrimental effect on a relationship.

Past doesn't necessarily indicate future but it often does. If you meet a guy who cheated on a previous partner would you still use that logic? I don't think so, nor do I think you should. People can change but it's a simple fact that past behavior can predict future behavior.

If I killed someone in my past it would not change anything about your future but it'd still be the right thing to tell you, no? Not everyone feels the same about what is and isn't important to them, some people care about this body count stuff so I think lying about it when asked is wrong

Really? You don't know any woman that would be happy with a man helping them with moving heavy things and paying for dates?

I wonder why? Maybe there's some kind of gap between men and women when it comes to sex or something?

Are you alright lol?

It's mainly about statistical distribution of those traits. You can't completely remove all unfair biological advantages but you can do your best to mitigate their impact in ways that can be consistently applied, such as dividing sports by gender. As the saying goes, don't let the perfect become the enemy of the good.

All this from someone who spends their time watching trashy TV lmao

Ok so disagreeing with you is just them being defensive. What does actual disagreement look like to you then? Plenty of them are making fine points to support their arguments, you just seem to have a difference of definition to everyone else.

Go back and read the comment I originally responded to.

That's delusional; of course people still value stability. Some value it enough to prioritize it over other factors, such as attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/24 03:51 PM

Yeah, attraction was a secondary factor in most long term relationships.

Is this a serious question? How about stability, aka the most common reason for marriage throughout history?

Just cause your celebrity crush isn't the same type as the person you're dating doesn't mean you're somehow settling, wtf. Plenty of people don't even have types they just date whoever they like.

It's a good example of how society sees men as disposable

Regardless, that way of thinking is classic America brained, only know how to talk about work and gossip

Ideas? Events? They can still read books and learn as homemakers. I don't see how working an office job is going to suddenly make for riveting conversation.

Most simple is pretty clearly when both love each other around a similar level, no?

The deadbedrooms sub has quite a bit of both on there believe it or not, though I'm not on there enough to know the proportion with certainty. In my own relationship, my girl is definitely the higher libido; if it were up to her it'd be multiple times per day.

Isn't it more likely that the average looking man just isn't attractive to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/24 08:14 PM

Agreed, but emotion can drive someone to illogical action
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/24 12:35 AM

Having a reason doesn't mean the reason is logical. It could be emotional, for example, which btw is a perfectly valid reason to divorce.

Do you know what radical means? It just means a huge departure from the norm. If the norm is men being treated as disposable tools, then a movement to have us be seen as human beings with feelings and fears, and with our own systemic issues, can be considered radical. There's nothing inherently negative about being radical.

It's manipulative to have a personality?

What is there to make sense of in the first place? It's a preference; there doesn't need to be any kind of rationale for it, it just is.

The inability to detect light isn't an allele, unless you refer to some sort of mutation which will blind you lol. If everyone has the alleles for eyesight then heritability for eyesight is not zero, it's approaching 100% (not actually 100% thanks to mutation). What are you even talking about lol
/r/BlackPillScience06/04/22 01:42 AM
2

Natural selection also selects for advantageous alleles via differential reproduction leading to said allele increasing in frequency in a population. There is no opposite trait for the ability to detect light, for example. That trait was advantageous and was hence selected for by becoming more frequent in populations leading eventually to eyesight.

You're thinking of traits that are selected against

I think there's something to be said about the fact that she said that shooting down an open relationship is "traditional." I wouldn't consider myself traditional but I'd never in a million years entertain the notion of sharing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
