The sahm bit does not concern me that much. In a perfect world that should be the status quo. However.... The attitude, hard pass. My gut, lacking explicit discovery, says she already has some rug rats.

She is so specific. Like what if the paramour has $40m net worth? As it is most women know little about money other than how to spend it. Which makes it interesting that this individual is separating 'Nouveau Riche' from the 'Movers and Shakers' crowd. She's looking for cash and Wants-It-Now!

Funny this. If a man is on his purpose and shepherding his resources for greater things, he is classed as stingy. But if he lavishes a woman with his money and time he will in many cases be considered a simp or a creep. Make it make sense.

Hey might be a match made in heaven. The 'winner' cuts a deal, I will have a side chick and you will not complain. But for the life of me I don't see why there would be any buyers even with that deal on the table with this woman.

Nothing. That's the point. Her friend circle is getting on with getting on. She is one of those that 'want it all' without verbalizing it because she considers that gauche. But wanting it ends up not getting it. To get A you most times in life need to give up B to get there.

Two things are in play here: * Women want men equal or better economically so that at a period of her choosing she can drop out or cash out to not work anymore. * Women will actually prefer status over income. A doctor with 3 divorces and not a pot to pee in will attract more women than a self employed plumber with 8 staff making 6 figures. They have a tug of war in their minds as to which is most important at any given moment.

Men should be on their own path. If you are on a path, it figures not who the woman has friend zoned. What matters is that one woman who is willing to follow the same path. Its the only thing that works. The vetting process is driven by the man, not the woman. Problem is unicorn spotting can be time consuming.

That is a pretty big cope. Not exactly the biggest up there but a 5-6 out of 10. Unless you are one of the lucky few that the whole clan lives in the same town, family gatherings are always a little bit of compromise. Different life experience generate different expectations, but an adult adjusts to handle it. Besides it is only a couple of days out of the entire year. Sigh.

That is too complex. What fits one person would not another. There are known unknowns to becoming an adult. Best one can do is put up signposts to those known events that lead to bad outcomes. Perceptions can also change due to events. G. Patton was considered a brazen a$$hole by his peers. Yet WWII manifest him as the best field commander the US had at the time. Floppy, Long term I hope this forum will not be needed in the future. Many of the younger generation are seeing thru the BS on both sides of the sex divide. Alas there will always be gold diggers and in a world dominated by single parents the boys into men need something to inform them what the score is. 'When you walk into the room and can't spot the mark, its you.' Don't be that person, especially in a relationship. I would offer, avoid the chase, focus on you, follow your purpose.

"What qualities do I bring to the table that would be of worth to a good man?" 1) Punctuality. 2) Good cook. 3) Loyalty. Give me those three talents and I can over look a lot of faults. Back in my college during the Jurassic period all a girl had to say was 'home cooked meal'. 3 or 4 of us would show up with pick ups and have the whole apartment moved in a day. Eating a fresh cooked lasagna or fried chicken after months of eating the swill at the college cantina was a pleasure. Sadly I can cook …

"What benefit is there in doing that?" "A single lie is a tragedy, a million lies is a statistic" -- to paraphrase Stalin. By agreeing to a group think any single individual in the group has severely discounted any accountability to themselves as an individual. "What is the problem? Everyone does it." If you lived thru the 1980's you would get pushback on your first observation. The Boss Babe mantra came after that. We appear to be in agreement on the second item. builders in my area are erecting 4000sqft homes. That is not a starter home by any stretch.

Some observations: Pour 15m unvetted people into the country and housing becomes an issue. Then permit hedge funds to buy up entire neighorhoods. Then print up $4Tn USD. Then bust the % rate into the 6-7% range and you have an affordability issue. If I am a builder I have two options -- build 5 modest homes and make $10k profit on each. Or build a luxe McMansion and make $50k profit. Hence builders go for the latter option. As to the jobs outlook, it is getting really bleak. Back in the 70's and…

".,.. and it’s been slow around here lately." Be not of poor spirits. The lack of material is not because of failure but success. The point men have been making for the last couple of decades has gone somewhat main stream. But rather than going out why don't you come over with your choice of wine and I will cook something special." a) Shows she has skills. You are about right. But even in my case RU women were watching Baywatch, Santa Barbara, South American soaps in Russian back then. They were already 'infected' so to speak. Even then you had to be careful with whom you associated. I would add that there is a significant break in attitudes. My wife grew up in the Soviet era. Any RU woman under 35 has no clue of what the Soviet era was like.

What this particular representative of womanhood misses is that the battle of the sexes is asymetric. From a merely survival expectation all men have to do is NOTHING. The men can make it on their own accord. The women not so much. The world in which they swim thru is the societal waters that men built.

Permit a minor mind experiment.... Lets assume that 80% of the women are 'normal' with reasonable expectations. The other 20% are off the charts. Now we know that content creators like or have to amp it up to get noticed. Possible outcomes -- * Men take notice of the fallout the 20% generate, unfortunately over representing the situation as a whole. * The over representation has a self fulling aspect. As more men withdraw from the scene the effects flow down the social ladder. * Red Pill is norm…

First of most generalizations have some basis in fact. Not as often as an individual but within a subgroup that one is part of the generalizations typically pan out. The other factor that is not considered by most women is that they make up roughly 52% of the US population. In the favorable metro areas the % is even high, eg NYC. Factors of age, BMI, expectations stacked on top of all that has this woman ending up exactly where she is.

Well go for it. But as the knight in the 'raider' movie opined, "choose wisely". Legally, understand that all marriage does is easily formulates a joint tenancy of common property. Full stop. There are other ways to do this that achieve the same aims. Like say a structured LLC that holds the major assets. You marry your SO you also marry his debt. Simple premise is the existence of social security. Its an indexed system based on age, contributions and when one started contributing. Women are enamored about the stoic wanderer type of man. That individual does not fit their normal frame of reference. If they cannot put them in one of their personality boxes they assume 'he' is broken.

From a voting preference tendency Vance is on the mark. Married women tend to vote to the right while single women to the Left. One person's failure is another person's win? Interesting that the poster defined her own failure -- "I am 36 and figured I would be married with kids by now..." If a person does not or cannot have kids well its a choice or fate but not failure. It depends on what the person thinks of it. She clearly admits to failure. The 'cool aunt' thing hence is just a cope.

So no one told you life was gonna be this way Well no one needed to quite frankly. All a woman has to do is look around at the 'invisible men' that they bump into in their daily lives. The clerk behind the counter, the guy paving a street, the plumber who fixed the pipes in her flat, etc, the men they don't see. The state of men they see in their late 20's are the fate they approach in their 50's, miserable and alone. Aniston had 3 chances that most other women would kill for. As KS was want to …

Women insisted on becoming SIWs. Being a SIW should indicate that they get their own 'bag'. So if they want a man, be prepared to share the wealth and forego visions of divorce gold and prizes. Cough it up ladies. On the other hand if some young woman is willing to pick up the baton and start the race with some young man, the rules should be different. My wife does not work, but she does bust a gut maintaining the home. We each do our bit. The woman in the posting probably already has cats.

Sadly the idea of the 'big paycheck' as the symbol of success seems to have become the over ridding factor. You are very lucky. Parental influence is higher than most people expect. If the parents are dullards or detached from their kids, the kids generally end up with the same mindset. There are exceptions of course, the kid that wises up early and wants to achieve more than their parents. Culture too has an affect. I raised an American son and a Russian step-daughter. Son was always testing boundaries. Daughter was more concerned about consequences.

This is the epiphany phase Rollo talks about. She wants to stop flinging, but not quite to the 'settle for' stage. As others have opined, surgery damages women more than helps them. Their face looks like a taut spring. Now if she was smart (fat chance) she should seek out a male confidant or family member and get an honest opinion to bust the bubble. That an they might know somebody suitable. Hope springs eternal. But regardless get the prenup.

From the leading ladies you mentioned, harks back to an era where unless you earn multiple millions you skirted the income tax. It was still pretty much a rich only tax. That an we had not triggered income creep via inflation, aka the wars. The other observation is that the leading men of that era were not all chads. For every Cary Grant there were 3 Bogarts.

Well there is something to be said about the 'age gap'. You can find someone you are compatible with but if one party relates to The Beatles when they grew up, the other PDiddy, well there's not a cultural affinity between the two. The answer is so simple but she misses it. If a male is situated to want family, well the empty 40yo won't do. If the male is tending to retirement, his bucket list mostly empty, why invite the aggravation of a demanding 50yo female? With variations that is the core of the dynamics here.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen12/05/24 05:32 PM

Points taken. But for the female seeking a retirement plan it would be easier at seeking a male in his 50's than one in the 65 range. Here's the outcome in chart form -- https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/1024/cpsprodpb/664E/production/_111409162_corona_cases-nc.png.webp There is just flat out fewer of us males walking around. In a world before the Internet and 'office work' it was highly likely of two occurrences: 1) The husband probably died in an accident associated with work. 2) The universe of women in a given area was relatively small compared to the men in the same area. Being prodded to marry a SM was not necessary as there was a good chance for many men that this was their only opportunity. Before modern medicine child birth was ranked pretty high as a cause of death among women.

Fact in most societies on this planet, including ours, that is a good thing. She should be focused on the kids, not being a boss babe, attempting to be Bezos. American women have followed the rule "what is his is mine, what's is mine is mine". Regardless of their high and mighty pontifications of 50/50 in their hearts its 90/10 at best. Personally I ap…

For openers, I have never met a fat vegan. As to her situation, live with it. It is projected by 2030 half of all women will be unmarried and childless. She will just be one of the mass of harpies wondering why their life is such a tragedy. Buy stock in wine and cat food companies gentlemen.

Personal observation. Most women over 35 are generally married to their job. Their skill at being feminine has been driven out if they have had it at all. So they can't make the shift successfully if they tried.

I seek one man and one man only for a traditional relationship! A man who has everything he wants but needs me, wants me, appreciates me, respects me.... I seek a man who will take the time to read this, a man who has no problem to travel, a man who is a self made ... ... and that grasshopper is why she fails. A man of that caliber is not going to be buying the alligator leather hand maiden. No. He will want that sheepskin smooth model right next to her on the rack.

How odd. Brokerage RE is a tough business is you want to make any money at all at it. You are always 'on' 24x7. The BS levels of general screw ups are there with Boeing building a plane. Been there done that. Then her preferences. Way out of whack. If she wants kids, most dudes 45+ are not interested. That leads one to conclude this is skirting gold digger status. Sadly men have the same problem just different standards. If you have worked any time at all you will note that some men seem to chase job titles. Example case: VP branch manager at a US bank. Yes there is generally an economic incentive to do so. But the reality is it is not much more than a bank teller with the keys to the branch. The worse case is to be the division COO in a US Fortune 5000 company. Such companies are usually structured such that the C Suite types work out of a Maryland HQ PO…

Hate to say it, but most colleges are a warp field that bends reason into a pretzel. The female target audience, 18-24, eats it up. They are seldom educated but fully indoctrinated. Statistically women don't necessarily date their own age. They typically date older partners. So there is that right out of the gate. At its core this woman's missive revolves around her loneliness/happiness thinking that a partner cures this problem. They don't generally, just mask the issue for a time. Then what was a individual problem is now deemed a partner problem by the woman.

One other note on 'chivalry'. One aspect was to abandon scorched earth battle, especially against civilians. [Putting on conspiracy hat....] You of course know who wins out of all this don't you? Pharma. Of individuals taking mood altering medications the greater plurality are women. It would not have surprised me if some MBA type back in the 70's noticed a high correlation between single mothers and increased use of mood medications. So what is the logical marketing plan? Why increase divorce rates, by encouraging the implementation of no fault divorce. You can leave your consulting fee on the way out…

First off, 'IT consultant' can be anything. From 'bring me my coffee' to a AI engineer. Been in the IT biz for 40yrs and I have seen every shade of consultant one can imagine. The capper for me is the last line of "he's incarcerated and in his daughters life". Uhhuh. Like how do you manage that? Drive over to the correctional facility and have the child talk thru the glass. And finally, he would not happen to be arrested for DV that you initiated? 50% chance I could be right on that one.

I hold to the 'spheres of influence' theory in relationships. It is quite possible for a 'boss babe' type to have a successful relationship IF -- a) Their expertise compliments the SO in the relationship. b) Both are willing to accede the lead if the other is more knowledgeable. The problem is generally the female is not willing to give up being a 'boss babe' when it would even be to their benefit to do so.

I don't think that men can actually change the situation. One can't just say "we need more men in the 5% income bracket" because a rise in income typically floats all boats. So if a man is not a 5%er now even if their income rose, they rarely break into the 5% bracket. Nor can a 5'5" man become a 6'1". Those are the two most determinate factors that women consider 'attractive' followed by all the other factors. Women need to realign their expectations. Recognize that if you the woman is making…

Jeez. Let me focus on just one point. In the posting the woman opines the struggle getting 'dear child' ready for whatever. That struggle is a struggle of her making. As a personal example, I knew how to 'get ready' before I hit first grade. It is what was expected, self reliance. I class wealthy as top 10% so 150k or more. Sorry you have the wrong classification. That is NOT wealthy, that is high income. There IS a difference. If I earn $1m income I will pay on average 26-30% to the Feds. If I have $1m in assets at worst I will be paying 15%, maybe, on capital gains, but only when I transact it in some fashion. Nor is $150k what is used to be. You would be at the bottom of the 10% percentile. Fact barely squeak in. Most households in that bracket are dual income MFJ. Ind…

Most of the men she will meet that have fat bank accounts will be in their 50's+. The simple fact of the matter is in order to build wealth it is done via investments, not sitting in a bank somewhere. So the real up and comers in her age range will be asset rich (stocks, real estate, business, maybe crypto) and bank balance poor. Has not entered in…

If you are making adjustments to income on page 1 of a 1040 in the eyes of the IRS that is not a tax deduction. Deductions and allowances are made on page 2 of the 1040. I know it sounds like dancing on the head of a pin, but dealing with an IRS flunky over the phone it does. That was 20mins of my life I wish I could get back for simple wrong use of terminology.

Alimony has never been a tax deduction. Its been an adjustment to AGI which is a different beast entirely. If there was a separation agreement enforce before 2019 then the continued payment to the receiver is a reduction of AGI to the provider. If the separation agreement commingled alimony and child support such that there could be discernible means of separation of the two costs it will be disallowed. For those with a separation agreement before 2019, be careful. If the receiving spouse files …

No. Passing alimony to a spouse is a reduction in adjusted gross income for the sender and an increase in adjusted gross income to the receiver. The income is only taxed once. Ex. I make $120k. I have a $20k alimony support agreement. For me that is a $20k reduction to $100k. The ex-wife receives $20k and must include that with her other gross income. My basis for tax purposes will be $100k before taking any other allowable deductions. Child support is not deductible or adjustable as it is consi…

Not in the US. Schedule 1 line 19a "Alimony Paid". It becomes an adjustment on the 1040 and is transferred over to line 10 of the 1040. Schedule 1 is also filed by the recipient as gross income earned and transferred to the 1040 as well. What is not deductible is child support payments. bottom line is make sure that alimony is deemed separate in the decree. Otherwise IRS will disallow adjustment and deem it all child support.

I am afraid my generation did not emphasize enough the ideas of responsibility first, playtime second.

The women you describe given up even more than that. Given that many will not have family they will never experience being 65+ the honor of being the matriarch that the clan depends on for domestic wisdom. They will lack the experience to pass on the wisdom to avoid mistakes to the other females in the group. Writ large the entire society suffers and falls prey to flim-flam untested thinking.

The younger women don't have 'the list' because every opportunity is a new experience. But as time passes an item gets added to the list because, "Oh I have done that before", I want.... Which of course is something they have not had yet. Now the really smart ones recognize they have gone to 'X' before and it is still enjoyable because the alternative is sitting home, petting the cat and eating ramen noodles. They have the cognitive ability to understand opportunity costs and consequences.

She does with again an exception. VAWA, violence against women act, makes certain events extremely lopsided. If the foreign wife is dissatisfied she could file for divorce and her lawyer will probably suggest using VAWA as a lever. At the same moment trigger the Feds against the man too as they generally will 'always believe the woman' and act accordingly. A foreign male does not have the VAWA option, transgenderism aside.

Observation #1: Women think doctors are a financial gold mine. They are not. (I have seen many financial statements) If you total up the years to become one, the debt load required to finance it, the costs of the practice at the beginning most doctors will not break even till they are around 50. A frugal one maybe mid 40's as the poster here seems to be. Observation #2: His lawyer says the prenup covers him. History tends to show that courts are 50/50 in honoring such arrangements. the core problem is 'the system' no longer exists. Before the sexual revolution there was an older adult that laid down the ground rules and the reasons why they exist. That was blasted into oblivion once Feminism 1.0 rolled around. Now 4 generations later there are no rules, no guidance and no deference to the biological limits of womanhood. No excuses offered, its just the way it is. As for men there now appears only two roads to travel. If you have the preferred physical attributes you are a …

Men need to pay to play, and if they cant afford the price of admission then its game over on inferno mode. I learned early, don't chase, its a sign of weakness. I am going to contradict a few observations. Men live lives of quiet desperation as well. Where men differ from women is that we also live lives of, if we are lucky, Fulfilling Distraction. We can whittle the hours away working on something that interests us whether it is profitable or not. Those activities blunt the desperate times and for a lucky few of us become the engine of our success and life's work. Part of the difference between becoming and just being.

The societies of the past understood that educating a woman was a luxury good. Ok if you could afford it, but not necessary. There were reasons for that: Child birth was a risky business with a modicum of a death rate. As a consequence most women died early. The skills required of women at the time did not really require an education nor was there the facilities to do so. Its was 'on the job'. Women were an adjunct not the prime earner for the household so what was the better bet to leverage an …

Think of those blank spots as if it was a resume. When you see 2yrs between jobs most would want to know why. Same with social media. She disappears off the 'Net. Most likely she has landed a fish and cohabs with him till she gets bored or kicked out. But there is a way around that too. Women are hooked on social media. If you see a blank period, go look up her friends social media. A paired hoe will likely be in pics with BF as a group.

A US perspective. If the courts here would start awarding custody based on who could afford it rather than a sexual preference women would get very picky about who they consort with. If the chances of them winning were slim to none because of their poor economic choices divorce would dwindle to nothing.

What is really sad is that 'housewife' is now a pejorative. If you were to ask the men in that video what was part of the success they had, it was their wife. But that was from a bygone era when a woman handled the homefront making it possible for the man to dedicate the 60-70 a week it took to accomplish it. Now women are more of a distraction than a lens to success. We are all poorer as a result.

A mammalian trait common among some of the species is that when a new alpha male appears in the pack they go about killing all the suckling offspring so that the females can come back into mating form. Not suggesting that is a desired effect in humans but in the back of the male hind brain the message is 'save the effort for passing only your genes on'. Just the way it is.

Oh Dear! The classic Chad chaser shooting for that 1% and finding she has to kiss a lot of frogs.... Where have we heard this complaint before? .... Has anybody told her that the Chad days are over and that the best she will get is some dude a 6 on the 10 scale? Since she is MS so and so, she forgot rule 1 -- a woman don't need no man. Their rules, not ours.

Hmmm. Threaten to do that and all I will do is just show up with a shovel. Problem solved, responsibility fulfilled.

Not only is she a gold digger, but she has no soul. No concept that the point of a gift is not the gift itself but the effort it took to provide it.

Oh there is no doubt her better chances are behind her, that is for sure. From the viewpoint of this sub there is a clear split. There is the clueless 'I am a 9' type personality with a checklist that becomes mutually exclusive in its breadth and depravity. The second is like the example here. Almost reasonable. Unsaid is the fact that those women that are worth considering all have that particular checklist, they just don't put it on public display. Cause of her particular situation we don't kn…

Alot of the comments are spot on especially the mods observations. Permit me however I want to take a different bent an the situation.First off the 'check list' is as reasonable as it comes compared to most portrayed here. Plus at a certain stage of life playing the games, being forthright can be a plus. But lets get into some specifics. 'family oriented', I think most here have been led off the wrong path that assuming a raging desire for bambinos. That check mark might in fact mean she is sadd…

Simple fact of the matter was not so long ago if the father did not consent to the proposal it flat out did not happen. Heck in Victorian England you did not even talk to a woman in a private setting without introductions. The other hammer in that arrangement is that divorce approached the level akin to sin; hence was only an option of extreme circumstances. (Dear ole dad was glad to pawn off the daughter, even be willing to pay to have it happen - dowry. He just needed to make sure she did not …

Hint: they're all hookup apps. Modern marriage is dying. Many men would be all-in for 'old fashioned marriage'. Proving your worth to the father-of-the-bride for consent might be tough and stressful but then divorce lawyers are no cake walk either.

Sadly women don't understand this concept -- "You don't catch fish out of a empty lake" -- an that is what sites like Tinder and Bumble are.

Healthcare like may other things cannot be free. To say it is free means you propose to enslave a doctor. Or, you mean universal healthcare, which is never free and as good as the US govt F's it up will cost an arm and a leg.

The problem with women is two fold: 1) They want different things at different stages in their life cycle. Further compounded by the fact that some freeze at a given stage and never move on. 2) Fundamentally they really never know what they want. They are like a bower bird always collecting new shiny. It could be a pair of shoes or a new man, doesn't matter, just new.

Who is wasting whose time here? She is right on the border of high risk pregnancy. Why the hell sign up for that when there are new crop of 20somethings arriving ever year? Sounds cruel but the marketplace is a harsh mistress.

Only a tangent, but you know I remember a time when, if you had dark thoughts or deep seated fears you would only reveal them to your closest of friends. So when did this desire to blast your angst across the internet start? Its sad and worse some of it is down right creepy.

Look closely and don't be fooled. Not fooled but I do find the irony delicious. Chased all the players during her 20's and now feels the consequences of her lack of forethought. Another Purina and Gallo investor.
