At no point in that section does it claim that this is bad They are extrapolating data. I didnt know the gender of the author because it was irrelevant to me. Its a paper written by a professor from Harvard

I encourage everyone here to read this 10 page paper. This paper accurately and coherently explains why closing the wage gap would help everyone including men and shows that the problem is not discrimination. It shows and gives evidence that the 30% stat is a myth and combines many many good sources to draw its conclusions. I want to TLDR it but I cant express anything as well as the paper does.

To put it in perspective wearing that head covering is a blatant statement that they are not looking to meet anyone.
