I know that feeling of wanting to dress better but also wanting to save all too well, being a student too! I find that if you whittle your wardrobe down to a few staple pieces then it's really not that expensive, especially if you stick to places like uniqlo, h&m etc. Clothes are the only luxury I'm allowing myself this year, the confidence boost when you look good can't be underestimated!

I used to have a massive problem with eye contact, but forced myself to look people in the eye when talking to them. Since doing that, I've found that people's reactions to me have changed radically. Now, whenever I speak to somebody who doesn't make eye contact, it makes me cringe that I used to behave like them. Not only does it make the person look insecure, it also makes the look downright rude in some cases. They can be the nicest person in the room, but lack of eye contact makes them diffi…

I'm the same predicament as you mate. Had bad acne as a teen, am 20 now, have mild scarring and still have mild breakouts, from the UK. Nothing that bothers me though. In fact, having had severe cystic acne my face should be a hell of a lot worse than it actually is. You'll need to get rid of the acne you have before you can begin any scar removal treatment or it could aggravate your skin and make you break out again. Get to the doctors if you're not on any meds already. Forget over the counter …

He won't need accutane for mild acne dude. That's a last resort medicine that can only be prescribed in special cases (ie. when nothing else has worked) here in the UK.

That's what I'm saying. Read the last part of my post - I'm disputing the examples he gives which all revolve around money, not the overall message. I'm just worried that it reinforces that monetary gain is the only way to appear 'successful' in the eyes of the majority of society.

Admirable I guess, but one thing annoys me about this video. He measures success in dollar bills. All the examples of goals he gives are things like 'become rich' or 'be a better salesman'. I feel kind of sorry for those whose only goal in life is to have a lot of money in the bank. We all know that money doesn't buy you happiness. Of course, this is more of a problem with the way that society measures success. We vilify those who don't have a penny to their name, but what of their achievements …

As well as hosting a party, or going to somebody else's party, it should be easy enough to approach everyone you see moving in with the 'so you're new here too? Lets explore the city' line. Get a group together. Be seen as the leader who brought everyone together. Go for coffee with everyone.

Or more accurately: 'height does matter to this one girl, but not to the girls I've dated that are taller than me and many others who can see past height' That's a bit long-winded though.

I can just imagine everyone in the bar joining in and rushing towards a guy walking through the door asking what his name is.

Making friends is so easy during those first weeks of uni. Just walk up to people and introduce yourself. It was easy enough for old social-retard me. But don't do what I did and befriend a gay unhinged cocaine addict who just wouldn't fuck off.

Well if you add the words 'to cut' into that sentence, yeah.

Brilliant post. I've always been tempted to just hold my hand out to one of the girls who looks at me when dancing but have always been worried they think I'm weird or something because I rarely venture to clubs while not under the influence of research chemicals. Fuck it, I'ma do it next time. Cheers bro!

This described me down to a T. I'm a classic INTP. I wish introversion was more understood and accepted by the public.
