Dude, have you seen any of that red pill shit? It may not be rape but it’s at least comparable to the shit we’re seeing this girl say. Also human trafficker Andrew Tate is a hero to many guys.

“That’s modern day dating”. Not at all in my experience. Some people are shit at picking partners and then blame the opposite sex for their own lack of ability to pick good people.

I’m sure you’re fine with all men being judged by rapists and assholes, right? Or do assholes just exists and gender has nothing to do with it?

I came here pretty much to echo this dude. I found my partner pretty late, 34 and she was 30. I had finished med school and gotten a chance to have fun. We both had tried relationships and one night stands etc, we both came into this relationship knowing what we wanted and knowing many of the pitfalls of a relationship. We now have a kid and it’s great but having a family and a job and all that changes things. We have very little time for ourselves. I really recommend just enjoying the ride, if …

You. Are. The. Problem. Stop coping and try actually living life. Stop focusing on sex. Stop focusing on who’s having sex and who isn’t. You are the fucked up one. Please seek help.

Came here to say exactly this. You should feel fine with asking for something and then respect whatever answer you get. It’s not toxic for you to ask for something and it’s not toxic for her to reject that something. You seem to have the right attitude, you’ll be ok.

This stat is most probably not true. I’d love a source on that. I did Google a study that says 1 in 3 men aged 18-24 aren’t having sex but that’s pretty damn far from 80%

The thing is shit people exist, men and women. If both sexes judged the opposite sex on our worst specimens, nobody would ever get laid.

The main problem is you lying about your relationship to each woman. If you bring another date and are honest about it to both women, there’s nothing wrong with it, they can take it or leave it. What you’re doing is just very slimy and shitty behaviour.

You’re thinking of killing yourself. $2000 is cheap to save your own life. That being said, lack of pussy isn’t your problem at all. You need to seek professional help and stop thinking a lay will solve all your problems.

Ok I’ll reply one last time and then give up on you like you’ve given up on yourself: Your problem is that your world view is completely warped. You think that if you do x and y you now should get to fuck. That’s not how things work. Go out, better yourself as a person. I don’t mean get swole as that’s way less important than people make it out to be. Go be a good person without expecting anything in return. Find things you enjoy for yourself and do them. You act like a victim because you don’t …

There it is. You’re out of shape. Probably working a job you pretty much hate. Life is pretty miserable for you. You’re miserable and treat people like shit because of your entitled ass. The world owes you exactly nothing. Women owe you exactly nothing. Figure out your own shitty life before trying to drag others down into your hole. A good place to start is shutting up, stop blaming anyone but yourself and start listening to people that actually have the success that you want.

I mean, let’s be honest, there’s 0 chance you’re jacked. You have a horrible view of women and life in general. You seriously need to figure your head out, it’s a mess. You admit wanting to kill yourself, so your shit personality and character isn’t only affecting those around you, it might actually kill you. Please seek professional help, look within and be humble. You’re young and inexperienced, why the hell do you think you know better than everyone? Drop everything you “know” and prepare to …

That’s BS though. Depends on the person but her saying “I’m partying, come join us” opens her up for rejection and girls are insanely scared of rejection. That’s why they want you to be pretty straight forward and lead, it lets them reject you (or accept) and takes the risk away from them.

If a cute girl surprised you by saying something flirty, would you be all suave about it? Before I started thinking about this stuff I missed more than a few opportunities I knew I had with girls because I was too nervous/scared to act. I literally knew she wanted me to hit on her and I wanted her but still I couldn’t act. Same shit happens to women. It’s just good to keep in mind.

Because you’re thinking a good opener exists. They really don’t. The opener honestly doesn’t matter as long as you’re fun and positive. Now will they work? Nothing will work every time. But confidence and a positive attitude increase your chances. Outcome dependence reduces them.

This is just completely wrong. I hope you realise that most people are pretty cool. They might not fuck you for opening a door for them but that might have a lot more to do with your attitude and view of life than anything else.

Honestly saying “you probably won’t like me” could be a pretty good opener. So could the rest. The point is there’s no such thing as a good opener, or at least that any opener is better than none.

A girl has pulled the “do you live near here?” line on me. On anyone that isn’t completely dense it should signal intent pretty clearly.

Not completely going to shit over your point because I definitely believe there’s some truth to what you’re saying. But there’s also the fact that you’re now free to interpret flirtation as just that, you don’t have to see if there’s really anything behind it so you can just write it off as “wow I had a chance with that girl and that other girl”. When single you get chances but have to either take them further or forget about them and if they don’t go any further they’re just a missed opportunit…

As someone stated before it’s doing too much too soon. I’ve been pursued by a girl I had thought was cute. But she very quickly started talking about having kids, we were 20 and had been going out for about 10 days. She wanted all these things very quickly and was such a big fan of mine. It was very suffocating at the time and felt as though I had to make a drastic life decision right then and there and also felt as though she’d be very tough to say no to (she was). The girl needs a while to get…

Exactly! While dating seems insanely complicated before you do it at all and gain some experience, the bottomline is that it’s pretty simple. The problems start with oneitis and that type of BS. Guys on here often want advice to get a specific girl. Sorry dudes, that’s not how it works, if it did you’d have a million guys dating Margot Robbie right now. Move on when you don’t find interest, she might come back to you, she also might not. Neither outcome matters. If you’re looking for a job you d…

The crazy thing is if a date goes well and she wants to kiss the rest doesn’t really matter. Be smooth or awkward, be whatever. After attraction hits your awkward becomes cute to her. The alpha BS is mainly guys who haven’t experienced much and think of dating like a video game. If you don’t do everything correctly it’s game over. Life doesn’t work that way.

Lol is this a joke? Said nothing about “deserve”. But I’d counter that with nobody deserving anything from the world at all. You can earn things. One of the ways to earn things is working out. There are other ways but you have to have something to offer to deserve anything. If you have 0 in body you better bring crazy personality or crazy money or insane skills in bed etc. Or are you asking out obese retarded girls all day? If not, get the fuck off your high horse.

You don’t have to take my advice but that’s how all forums work. Whether or not you’re in a medical/science subreddit or not (alright sometimes guys are verified but I digress). It’s up to you to find what resonates to you and apply it to your life. For me it was more the general stuff and bigger life changes. For some it’s maybe just knowing how to escalate. Honestly not in my experience. I’ve been rejected a bunch but usually nothing mean was said. Sometimes the rejection has been harsher than other times but I honestly don’t remember a time someone was actually rude. Then again if someone’s rude about just an approach for being asked out she’s not worth my time anyways. Also I mainly date girls I “know” from work/school/friends which makes a lot of these things easier. Going in with 0 previous connection is harder. Also tourists are a good way to …

Asking someone out is exactly that, you’re asking. If you’re looking for a way to be sure you don’t get rejected, it doesn’t exist. There’s a leap there and you have to take it and sometimes you’ll be disappointed. But in order to get that win you just have to trust your instincts and ask.

Honestly the problem isn’t just one thing. The guys on here are in very different situations. The only common theme is not getting girls. Some are in college, fit and generally cool dudes, have friends etc, just have trouble finding success with girls. Then there are basically incels, dudes that think women are bitches for not wanting to suck on their dirty dicks even though they themselves have 0 to offer in return. You’ve had that pregnant pause with a girl, right? That’s a moment. We know when there’s sexual tension and when she’s waiting for a move. If you’re feeling it, she’s feeling it. She might still reject you but that’s still a moment.

Practice. Say stupid shit. That can be endearing as hell. Don’t be afraid to make bad jokes and own it when you do, make a joke about how bad that joke was. It’s relatively easy if you just go for it. Being funny is great but being fun is what really matters. The funniest people I know are usually not the most fun people. Think George Carlin vs Jimmy Fallon (I hate Jimmy Fallon but he’s an extreme example of what I’m getting at). Carlin is smarter and funnier but he’s a miserable grump (his onst…

That’s not a TLDW. A real TLDW would be made so that I get the info laid out in the video without watching it. You just list what you talk about, not your conclusions. It’s the equivalent of showing your work but not including the answers on a math test.

If a pretty girl is nice to you and “gets your hopes up” by being nice and charming, is that her fault? Or do you own your own emotional responses? In my opinion we can only be responsible for ourselves and I don’t think being charming or even flirting with someone you don’t want to sleep with is disingenuous and I’ve never really heard anyone complain about that quality in someone.
/r/seduction11/06/19 01:29 AM

I recommend “flirting” with girls you aren’t interested in as well. Being seen as the kind of guy that’s at ease with everyone and makes everyone feel comfortable does wonders.
/r/seduction11/06/19 01:27 AM

Girls give you an opener all the time. Also we think we’re being obvious when we flirt but girls also have trouble noticing, I know because I have a lot of friends that are girls and they’re often oblivious when they’re hit on in public.
/r/seduction29/05/19 01:38 AM
1

That depends on the girl. In my experience a lot of girls look through all the pics, they like that part, while guys swipe faster after only seeing the first pic. But a lot of girls swipe quickly but then scrutinise your profile if you match. Ideally you want a pic that shows your face well. Another one or two that show that you have a life; hobbies. Then one or two of you with friends.
/r/seduction28/05/19 11:55 AM
1

The problem isn’t your look but weird mirror pics aren’t the best way to go. Get pics of yourself doing stuff. At least one good face pic. Then pics of you and your hobbies and one or two of you with friends.
/r/seduction28/05/19 11:42 AM

You don’t. Your tinder pics are crap though but you got a date so good on ya. Go meet her and see what happens.

Yeah I think most guys can relate to that feeling in some way. What helped me a lot was having friends that are girls. I can shoot shit with them very similarly to how I do with the guys and it’s not only fun but for me it was eye opening. I can be as weird as I am and girls aren’t disgusted by me, in fact they find me charming and fun to be around when I am all out myself. It’s fun to be around people that goof off and are odd because they give you the permission to be weird by default.

I know I’ve not gone for girls because I just wasn’t “feeling like it” that night or whatever. If she rejects you it may even just be circumstantial. PSA: Do not read this as: she just wasn’t in the mood, keep trying. If you made a move and she said no the ball is now in her court. It might never be kicked again but it is definitely her turn to kick it and there’s no good reason for you to do so until she does first.

Oh sorry I’m mistaken, your attitude is obviously wonderful. I’m honestly just trying to say what you need to hear. The world isn’t out to get you. You can go out and get things and be grateful for what you’ve got. Or you can wallow in self pity. The latter is easier and an understandable decision but don’t waste our time with it.

Jesus. What a load of BS. I’m a doctor and have worked with the severely disabled, physically and mentally. I worked with a kid whose dad shot himself with a shotgun in the garage in the middle of a dinner party. People that really hurt aren’t whingeing and moaning all the time. It’s always people like you that have it pretty good but because you’re not rich and banging a 19 year old Heidi Klum “the world hates you”. Here’s the thing. The world doesn’t hate you. That’s always the risk you have to take. It’s easy asking a girl to do something with you if it’s just as friends. But it will never lead anywhere. You have to risk a bit of embarrassment and rejection to get what you want. No risk it no biscuit.
/r/seduction18/05/19 12:42 PM

Yeah this is bs. Shit tests exist but some girls do it in a bitchier way than others. I’d probably not like this girl much but that’s just me. That being said I think if you want to pass this test and not just pass on this particular girl your best bet is probably turning it on her like that dude said. Yes game is played. No we shouldn’t get salty. Just because a girl is playing the game doesn’t mean she can’t also be a bitch.

You can look at it this way: since you’re just a loser that can’t break out of this anyways and life doesn’t matter.... who cares? Go say hi to anyone. You’ve got nothing so you’ve got nothing to lose. You already feel like shit, why not feel more like shit? Who cares? The upside is you might not feel like shit. The downside is you might feel like shit... oh wait you already do so who cares?

The fact is what you say isn’t what matters and anyone who says that doesn’t know what they’re talking about. It’s all about attitude. Obviously don’t tell her she’s a dirty cunt but as long as you’re confident and non phased you’re fine.

I see these requests for “answers” to shit tests all the time. The answer is usually what you say doesn’t matter as long as the vibe is fun and you’re confident. If you’re a “good guy” type saying: “time to try a good one then”. Would be fine. There’s a ton of answers that’ll do the trick. Even if you “fail” this shit test it’s all just about staying confident. Sometimes cocky and sometimes vulnerable but never an asshole and never weak, that’s usually where guys mess up. Your weight is a problem. But luckily it’s one you know exactly how to tackle. The rest doesn’t really matter, you’re not cripplingly short and money actually doesn’t matter to the people you’d want to attract. So either do something about your weight and start talking to some ladies or stfu. Also there’s tons of poor fat slobs I know that get laid so don’t give us that bs. Just stop rejecting yourself. Examples of anything? You have outcome dependence. Try to view it as a win that you just went there and said something, now you can’t lose. Stop looking for perfect tens, talk to all women, fuck it, talk to men too. You’re still barely supporting the weight of your own head and you want to run. Chill. This isn’t the end of the world. I know mental illness from all angles. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. You don’t have to be alpha all the time. You can actually be happy but you have to step out of your comfort zone to get there. I wish you all the best and hope you find the strength to face your issues one day.

Anecdotal but some people are willing to do anything to get what they want. I know a girl that’s with her bf of 10 years still because he becomes insane when she tries to break up. She’s pretty much stuck. He’d send messages every single day saying how he needs her and he’ll kill himself etc. She’s codependent and goes back to him. I think it has a lot to do with your own confidence. You may get hit on more but also you notice it and interpret it as that instead of feeling insecure and thinking a girl was just looking at you by accident or whatever. Only thing that really works for me is always assume attraction until proven wrong. Make them say no (yeah that sounds rape-ier than it’s meant). Just make sure you’ve checked if she’s into you before you do the rejecting for her.

I remember taking the piss out of one friend more than others. I didn’t realise it. One night he just asked me “what the fuck? Why are you like this to me?”. And it shut me up and since then we’ve been best of friends. It’s very likely they don’t realise it so let them know and if they don’t change their behaviour you might have good reason to look for new and improved friends.

I’ll begin by saying that if you want a relationship with her you should really question her loyalty to a partner, what she’s doing is shady at best. If you all out think she’s special you should give her an ultimatum if a relationship is what you’re after. I don’t really see meeting the bf being a good idea in any sense.

Needy isn’t the same as her always wanting to be with you, believe me there’s a difference. At least in the context used on seddit. Needy refers to a need to always need reassurance that you want her, that you love her. You can’t talk to other girls without her at least pouting over it. I mean what? Depends on anything but the magic trick. Those guys are having fun with it, charming and smiling and just seem harmless but with intent. If you can pull that off you actually don’t need the cards but they’re a fun distraction (the camera for them may help in a lot of cases, also being two guys helps it not seem as weird). My point is work more towards having their attitude and demeanour when approaching than learning a stupid magic trick.

Start being the guy that talks to everyone, not just girls you want to fuck. It takes a while but that’s the best way to start getting girls to open up to you. They see you all the time at class, if you only talk to pretty/hot girls you’ll come off as a fuck boy.

As someone that’s at one time or another struggled with sexual things, I had ed for a bit, have had a girl with problems to orgasm and have had trouble finishing myself, it’s my experience that a girl will be pretty gracious about the whole thing. This was with different girls. One really nurtured me out of ed, it was really just performance anxiety and she made me feel very comfortable. Another blamed herself for me not finishing. The girl that couldn’t orgasm talked to me about it and we tried…

Fair enough I’ll be clearer. Don’t decide her answer before you ask, just ask. That’s my advice, go to her, tell her you like her and would like to take her out. If she says yes, great! Also Tinder is pretty easy. Just treat it as a can’t lose situation. Just chat and see what happens with strangers. If they keep responding you keep responding (provided you want to) and in the process you get better at texting. If they end it, stop texting or unmatch, you know it wasn’t to be and that’s fine. You’re not for everyone and you don’t want to be.

A lot of guys want to live in the belief that a girl would solve their problems. Girls are wonderful, but if you’re miserable without a girlfriend your miserable with one. Have something worth getting, be a catch. I had ok success early on with girls but I let myself become a bit of a slob. I wasn’t focused on anything but my studies while in college and I became boring. I was dating an amazing girl but I didn’t feel good enough for her and ended up convincing her of that as well. I’m just as bu…

Different girls go for different guys. Being put together is the number one thing. Watch your hygiene, watch your weight, wear nice clothes, stay groomed. This ugly thing is bull because maybe 0.1% of the population needs something drastic. Most guys just have to get real. The world doesn’t owe you nice pussy. Lower your standards maybe? So many guys complain about not getting laid and all they do is pine for that perfect 10.

There’s pills for that. Very embarrassing but I had that problem when I was younger and it 100% had to do with confidence. Gym, less masturbation and just feeling like I had my shit together and “deserved” to be fucking chicks fixed it for me. If that doesn’t work there’s always pills.

Great to get out there! Just go out for a good time at first, don’t worry about girls looks, just talk to girls. You don’t have to have sex with a girl just cuz ya’ll talked. But getting used to just talking to girls helps you get comfortable with it. You’re obviously outcome dependant, otherwise you wouldn’t worry about looks so much. I’d recommend working on that for now. I don’t mean lowering your sex partner standards, but you don’t need standards for who you talk to.

You’re preoccupied with being liked. I often fall into this trap, been getting better at not giving a damn but it’s hard. Get more rejections under your belt. Say the last thing you should/think you should say. Say your weird opinions, dark opinions, whatever. My most interesting conversations have come from me (or the other person) just blurting something out. At least for now don’t worry about the rules. Your problem is you’re not ready to be vulnerable. I’ve gone home with girls and not been able to perform. I’ve also blown my wad way too quickly. Usually I do well but shit happens. The thing is the average person isn’t a porn star and isn’t used to porn star fucking. Plus in my experience the good sex almost exclusively comes later. Good sex is about trust and playing together and knowing how to please each other. Also a girl that this has happened with has never had a negative reaction to me …

You definitely can. You don’t and it’s hard(at first) but you can. I used to be a lot like you. But I started telling girls what I wanted and thought and it’s only lead to positive things, almost solely. Building on what u/thenaturalbigboy said, don’t be afraid to say outlandish things. Just a random thing that popped into your mind about anything at all is usually well received, it can seem funny and quirky (as long as that thought isn’t “I kill people in my dreams” or something). Being unafraid to fail is endearing. Think about comedians, they seemingly don’t care if they bomb (the good ones anyways). I live in Iceland and what I have is a tiny fishing boat my grandpa left me. It’s not a yacht in Miami. But let me tell you, get yourself any kind of boat and the ladies will love you. Your lack of success with women comes from self-esteem problems. I'm guessing everyone in this sub has experienced that. You really need to find your own peace, if not happiness, before the women part. I promise you, if you enter a relationship with that attitude you'll be hung up on that relationship. Your happiness will be a function of how well the relationship is going and it won't be going well because nobody wants those high stakes.

Btw going down on girls isn't a bad thing unless it's something you don't want to do. You seem young and lots of guys on here love being tough online and acting as "alpha" as possible. The fact is that being alpha has all to do with your desires and rules, not some external perception of what alpha men should be/do. Find out who you are. Find out who you want to be. I like all the tips but I'm not a fan of the headline. So much of seddit stuff is marketed as a quick fix. "10 tricks that will get you laid" or something. There really is no shortcut and after you've traveled the long road for a while you realize you wouldn't actually want there to be a shortcut. My favorite parts of seddit are the parts where it talks about becoming an overall better person. I used to be completely useless with women and while I'm no Casanova but I'm in a relationship now and …

Your "most successful encounters situation" doesn't usually lead to much more than a one night stand. Maybe you'll meet her again drunk later and bone but usually not a relationship starter (not saying it doesn't happen). Also if that's what you're after, that's fine. All my relationships have been with a girl I met sober. I might have escalated the flirting with her a bit tipsy but we met at work first or some class or whatever. I take a bunch of classes because they are a great way of meeting …

No by your logic we should all just walk to random women and fart loudly while staring into their eyes, then just stand there silently until she leaves or tells me to leave. It's super awkward so I'll turn into Don Draper just by doing that a couple of times. What u/wedembrownies suggests is basically immersion therapy. You look your phobia in the eye in small steps, each step scarier than the previous one. You look at a snake on TV, then at the zoo, then held by someone else, then you hold it. …

First timers get really stuck in the pit of tiny changes in phrasing. Confidence and being fun and forward is KEY. Everything else is pretty much bullshit. You did really well, the fact is you win some you lose some. Even if you are really experienced you will have losses. But the fact is it's exactly the same with this as in sports, the greats are the ones with a short memory for bad plays ;)

Oh I forgot this is the internet, of course it's best to assume the worst and berate OP. OP never said the neighbor wasn't a friend, he did say he had a key to his neighbors place which suggests some friendliness at least. Also what the neighbor don't know won't hurt him ;)

Your second point is awfully negative. First off I don't mind people fucking in my bed if they change the sheets, cum isn't radioactive and should go into the condom if things are done right. Some sweat or whatnot isn't going to kill anyone. The kid has NEVER had sex. He's probably even wondered if it ever would happen for him. Opportunity arose and he jumped on it. People forget what it's like to be a virgin.

Some guys on here are serious blue pill dudes! I'm guessing that's what's happening here since the author is a woman. She had many valid points to me who worried a lot about having too little sex until my mid twenties.

Honestly I think Seddit gets way too into these tiny phrasings. Either way, if you've done the stuff that matters right she'll probably say yes (unless she just doesn't like you that way). She won't be thinking "woah what a loser asking for my number". She will not think "wow this 150 lbs dude with the glasses really is a mans man, making statements". Just fucking ask for the number, the exact wording won't matter unless your hitting on a moron.

Seriously relax. Number one two and three. Honestly the first time usually isn't the best and that's ok, God knows I was nowhere close to good on my first try. If the girl likes you she will write it off as it was your first time together, which also is usually a bit awkward as you're both feeling each other out and figuring out what's your pace together. Just relax, that's seriously my only advice. Later you can worry about licking and clit play or whatever. You're riding a bike for the first t…

As someone pretty good on the dance floor, my experience is taking the lead and eye contact are waaaaay more important than moves unless you're really good at the moves. Those little moves are fun and all, but just be confident out there. Also I find there's a time and a place for grinding but then that's just a personal preference I guess.

But he's saying she's nice in the way that she wants him to like him...right? It's fucking annoying to try and date someone who doesn't have opinions if there's any chance they conflict with yours. Then again trying to fix people rarely works. I think the best advice for this guy, if he really is interested in keeping this thing going, is being supportive and encouraging to her. Show her that she can be herself around him.
/r/seduction12/07/15 11:24 PM

This is good advice. I will add to it that if she ever asks you should be honest with her. But as long as she doesn't ask and it's all just fun, you're fine :)

The trick that works best for me is actually honesty. Saying what I want to say when I want to say it. It's often really scary. I really believe this is the best way of attracting girls. Saying you like them or you think they are cute whenever you feel like saying it. Saying you disagree with them when that's what you feel. Say you don't care when you don't care.

I feel honesty is often the best way forward. "For me it is often just about the sex but once in a while you find a girl that you want to call again". Then you put a bit of pressure on her to actually be more than just a girl hoping you do all the work. Nothing works 100% of the time but being honest has helped me way more than trying to be suave. But men have had approach anxiety forever. Read books from way before WWII, it's always been there. I think we also have a bit of a personal bias. "Since I'm not getting chicks something must be wrong with society". Society is doing fine, our population is growing like never before so some men must be getting women, right?
/r/seduction08/02/15 05:59 PM

You don't have to be very well read to know that approach anxiety has existed since forever. Not everything is a "problem of our times". It's just part of the human condition. Guess what! Loads of guys have girlfriends and are doing fine. There will always be some of us that don't do as well in that department.

Very easy and effective way of establishing touch that you both should be comfortable with is complimenting her ring or watch (obviously she'll need to have one for this to work). When she shows it to you you take her hand as if to examine it. Then you can comment on her hands being nice or something. Helps start things off and escalating the kino should be a bit easier from there, instead of stroking her cheek right off the bat.

I completely agree with you. Plus I have been in a serious relationship where sex was all we had in common and it ends up being thoroughly unfulfilling. I agree that dinner, then movie, then sex sucks, but who the fuck is doing that all the time? Fucking her right away all the time isn't the answer, just don't be a super boring idiot. It seems that advice from women on this subject really gets to some guys on here, I've seen the exact same advice given by men but then for some reason it's fine. She does perhaps not have the authority to decide what's right or wrong on a date, but she can tell us what she likes and that might give us a glimpse into what women in general want. No need for the butthurt.

I only listened to the podcast, but I think part of it is also finding out you'll possibly get fewer rejections than you might think.

No because what do you risk with an approach? A bruised ego? You really don't risk anything, perhaps you perceive yourself taking a risk, but in reality you're not going to lose a single tangible thing. If you have worked a bit on yourself and then approach 100 girls, I guarantee you'll get at least 5 positive responses. Self work is crucial though and always will be.

So...This is very specific advice for people in a very specific line of work...but I used to work at a hostel. And I used to have a girl in "every port" as they say. I met them at the hostel, some were just staying for a night, some for longer, sometimes things happened while they were staying at the hostel, sometimes it was only a kiss or just flirting. I advise everyone that's trying to better themselves to keep a journal. Haven't thought of the 3rd person angle before and might use it. This is the perfect way of saying it. It's not exactly the wanting that is the problem. I do things I don't really want to do all the time, because that's the guy I want to be. I drive my grandmother all over the place, take shifts off the hands of coworkers if needed, go visit patients on off hours etc. It's not all things I necessarily want to do, but it's things the man I want to be does.

This is a huge thing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). While maybe she is a bitch, I mean some people are, it won't help you one bit to think that. You will start thinking negative thoughts about her and in return yourself "what!? I'm not good enough!? Who the fuck is she!?". Why is that not a logical decision then? It's sooo illogical to want to make offspring with men that have proven their talents at providing. Your point baffles me whether you're talking about money or looks. It's all stuff that helps you pick up women, just like looks help women pick up men.

So many guys on here can't let go of their bitterness. Seriously, it's only hurting you. It's easy to get bogged down by that. Looks are only manageable to a point. Keep yourself clean, groomed and fit. The rest you can't change, so stop being hung up on it. If it helps Billy Joel went out with Elle Macpherson AND Christie Brinkley, that's overcoming some serious attractiveness gap.

Yes! Friends are a great place to get advice on everything. I have a few close friends, both female and male, that I tell it all to. They do the same with me. Other people's problems often seem easier to fix and it's fun to laugh at each others anxieties. But in the end I can trust my friends, they're a vault.

I agree with most of the people here, if it's actually with friends, open up. Be vulnerable and honest. While the "selling yourself" is initially good it's very annoying when friends keep trying to convince you of their own greatness. These people are already on the hook, they're your friends, you'll have to do something pretty bad for that to end. Relax and be in the moment :)

It's really easy to cold open with asking for directions and then moving into something else. It's so weird how much freer you feel with foreigners, there are 0 consequences (I know that also goes for at home, but it's just more obvious abroad). I love talking to girls while traveling :) Also if you stay at hostels and stuff girls there will be very open to hang out and talk etc. People are extra open to new experiences while traveling.

To be honest I find that girls that don't have a life, that are boring etc. start losing their attractiveness as it goes on. The oposite goes for girls I wasn't too keen on but then end up being really intelligent and fun to be with. Just keep dating and look for that attraction, don't overthink it. It's great to have gone through all the phases of seddit and now you feel pretty good about yourself. You don't need perfection, just happiness and fulfillment.

This is 100% a personal thing. Setting boundaries is just being comfortable with telling people what you want, feel and by extention what you don't want or what you dislike. If you're fine with all the banter it's fine, if you feel at all uncomfortable with it, don't be ashamed to say it. The hardest part is just being honest with yourself about what you really feel and having the confidence to express that feeling. This is a bit of a tight rope since you don't want to be the whiner that can't take a joke. In my experience you just have to know where the boundary is. First off don't do a polite laugh at everything, if you find something funny laugh, if not it's OK not to. This seriously took me a while to figure out. Find something about the girl that you feel isn't too invasive and tell her. Recently I told a girl I had liked for a while that she was kind of cold and sarcastic, that she put up walls and held people at a distance, which was unusual for pretty girls. She was really impressed with that and I felt her whole attitude change towards me. You might have to be kind of good at reading people to do it though. Not really. You're basing this on the fact that when you date someone she doesn't seem to know what she wants in relation to you. If you have female friends where the sexual attraction is minimal you can actually ask them and they will tell you and give you pretty good advice. It's the same with most guys.
