I think you're hiding behind that fact that gender roles put the man in the place of always asking someone else out. Sure, if it's something expensive like a $200 concert, that's a discussion that hast to take place. However if we're talking a few drinks..... etc. otherwise you have to say, "sorry, i can't, i am broke". They can then off to cover you.

Before you start that ask yourself, "How much do I need this job? if so where is any resistance going to come from? and how am i going to deal with it". I'am not saying you can't pick up at work, but you may have to tone it down a little.

"No worries, maybe some other time". see if she suggests an alternative meeting. If yes, good for you, If no you politely and efficiently move onto the next girl. There's really not much more you can do about it then that. Anything that's too contrived is going to be an over reaction.

Don't share specific goals with friends. Share general goals. Don't say "I am trying to pick up girls" instead say, "I am just being more outgoing, talking to everyone". Being specific allows people to shit on your methods without contributing anything to your efforts. Tangents. I love tangents, they're shiny. If fumbling create a random tangent. Learn the right time to buy someone a beer. I know everyone gets all defensive about trying to buy attention and refuse to buy any drinks. But there is…

Mystery method and routine based pickup are just a way for you to obfuscate your true personality and build a facade out of tricks and techniques instead of improving yourself and overcoming the problems that were preventing you from being successful I disagree. You do not have to use any material verbatim. Many tried, but you don't have to. Material provides a nice learning framework. That is all. It breaks a situation down so you can practice various approaches to the task. Look at push-pull, …

I agree. However living in the moment is a product of having fun, an emotional state. If I realise I am not having fun, I remind myself to live in the moment, but that isn't living in the moment. That's being in my head too. It's not a matter of going "oh fuck" and flicking the switch. Any more then "being confident" is a matter of being aware that I am not being confident. It's not exactly actionable advice. Like your example of actors, they often spend MONTHS to YEARS preparing for a role, rea…

Be cool, engage him, befriend him. Give him your name, say something simple, "I just love talking shit with people" which may be a little harder if you went direct. If he wants to get confrontational and possibly violent then walk. Regardless of how it makes you look. Life's hard enough without having to deal with bar fights.

I am going to make up some statistics on the spot to illustrate something happens often. 80% of women are having sex with the top 20% of men. The distribution of sex is no equal to everyone. There have been several actual studies that represent similar proportions. sure, it's not distributed evenly amongst mens offers to women either. But the offers do accumulate at the top more for the attractive men. So i think you would find that for many men their phone IS fairly silent. For most women it's …

The only reason Gandhi got away with his non violent revolution was because the indians vastly outnumbers the brittish. Once you reach that tipping point there is nothing the British could do to stop them. I don't see twenty bus drivers backing that guy up.

It's implied he has had most of the women in the town. As for the repeated fake interactions, he did make progress. Further each time. He wouldn't of finally let go if he didn't have those "failed interactions". Those interactions matter. Most importantly he lost his fear of the world. Treated it like a game where experimentation in anything you wanted was free and got to it. Even if some of those were shallow.

Part of the problem is you did it to yourself. I am pretty sure very few people can be left alone, completely unsupervised, and learn something from abstract material. There are some good things in RSD materials. But it's like they went "this is where we are now, how we see things" and they talk about it. But they don't provide much information on how to get there. We can't just skip over the work, and the accumulation of experience and absorb those world views. There is no shortcut. If you're a…

My understanding is that the "i don't care attitude" is only at the beginning. Then, as the interaction goes along you can express interest, "You know, You're awesome". You let them show why they are awesome, then you reciprocate. You can be picky. There's nothing that says you can't. But there are a lot of girls out there. No reason to get your panties in a bunch over one. Know what you want and go get it. Clearly some people don't actually read the vast amounts of material on the topic and jus…

[ This become a poorly written rant but i don't want to delete it. ] The super positive aspect of everything. "The skies the limit" and if you tell yourself otherwise it's poor inner game. There is no honest discussion of limitations (reality). When you're young (18-25) you can run around a bar and be a dick. Generally it's tolerated. Do it at 30-40 and see where it gets you. Do it on the street, in the day, when you're 20 you can be reasonably sure a girl is within you age range and it will be …

Also much of pua material is flipping the script. Usually the girl holds the power to walk away. So we adopted that. We flip the "oh you're a player" script on them. We push away. We have our own little shit tests in the form of hoops and making them qualify. So she's adopting female game. In a roundabout way. Learning to be a girl, from us, is.... weird.

Since I don't have anything (Antibiotics are a wonderfull thing) that is no longer an issue! Also learnt my lesson, so why should I continue to be stigmatised by it? If it was herpes you would be obligated. If it's simply a urinary track infection (Is what i had) get it fixed and move on.

I once had a girl put me inside of her before I could reach for a condom. I just naturally assumed that she was on birth control, and I assumed (stupidly) that she wouldn't have an STD. While it's interesting to read these peoples opinions you end up dealing with the same questions. How about some niche topics? Pick-up for older guys, 30 years and older, so someone like bullet from love systems. Something specific for online dating? A lot of the other AMAs deal with topics that are covered every day on the forum.

At some level it's true, as i just got dumped for not having my shit together. However it doesn't stop them giving you a chance. Just understand that it depends on what they want. Surely congruence is a matter of experience. Numbers do play into it. I am aware I need to use my own metrics for me. Duh. However it still helps, I think, to know what's possible. I love knowing that a four minute mile is achievable for instance. The idea is not to say, "I approached x women, therefore i am due for a lay" The idea is to say, "These guys have been at this awhile and they have periods of rejections. My own rejections are not out of proportion. I shouldn't retreat into the fetal p…

That's the wrong question. What do YOU expect it to be? It is NOT the wrong question. Cause I DO want to know what others are expecting from their efforts. An example would be the op. He went out and had 50 odd interactions. Learnt some things. But ultimately wasnt getting to where he wanted. He expected he would by now. But 50 approaches isn't alot. Half of them could be no more then 1 minute long. Don't get me wrong. I agree you should enjoy the process and take what you can from each interact…

I don't entirely disagree with you. I feel that way most of the time. On the other hand, I imagine, once you're able to sort the viable candidates from the dead ends 40 approaches would be nothing. You can do that over the course of two weeks. (Not that i am at that point). I am curious what everyone expects the returns on investment to be? Cause i am sitting over here dangling my foot in the dating waters and I am becoming increasingly aware of how difficult it can be for newbs (like me).

I remember reading some guy saying he needs, on average, 40 approaches to get laid. Now he was intermediate/advanced. So your number, being not that far off sounds right to me. You've got to think the numbers through. So many of those girls are going to have lives that are not ready for you. Many of them may allready have bf's. Some you just caught on a bad day. Of the few remaining... you may of fumbled. Everyone else (me), gets stuck on consistently approaching. You've overcome that hurdle. Th…

"oh yah I fuck closed a HG:9" and i think "well, either you look pretty hot or you are just exaggerating." People have been abusing the 1-10 Scale since the dawn of scales. It's sposed to be a normal distribution. A 7 on a normal distribution would be pretty fucking hot. That's what most people are referring to as 9's. So if the girls are fairly normal, the guys probably are too. You'll just get a sullen silence from those who arn't. Go out, and get laid with anyone that makes you hard. Cause th…

Since approaching can be really scary, almost (occasionally) traumatic experience it's likely that all types of internal things will be shaken loose that you will have to deal with. Generally how you develop that confidence. So you are working on your inner game just by getting out of your comfort zone. It's probably not the best idea to distract yourself with other mental limitations. How do you even know what your issues are until you run into them headlong?

Dunno, i don't think you should be going to workshops if you can't approach, and hold a conversation for a minute or two. You want to be far enough along that you can get specific tips for your situation, not to spend $1000 to learn that you can walk upto a girl in a bar and say "hi".

I think the problem with breaking down humour is that it's great if you want to write out a joke at home that you are going to use later. But to flow with it in the field won't work as well. The reason i think is that you have to be aware of the multiple facets of a topic/situation to make fun of it. Myth #10: There is one true path of pick up. Reality: It's just about how you learn. Routines suite people with some personality issues. Others can comfortably freestyle. Some people like negs (maybe you look like danny diveto), some don't. How fast you can initially move with kino may depend on if you look like a 6ft gorilla or a 5'6 asian. A lot of guys I think enjoy talking to other guys about their problems with women. If I wanted a female perspective I could pick up a magazine, talk to any of the girls on facebook, etc. But getting good advice from males, who don't know you, who have been where you want to go.... I was watching one where a guy got a number from a girl, but you could tell from her body language, tone, etc that she really didn't want to be talking to him. So i think sure some of it works, but you have to use it right. You have to use it at the correct point in the conversation, if it requires it. Not just because "a mPUA said so.".
