Did you even look into it? "Terminating a parent's rights means that the person's rights as a parent are taken away. ... The parent no longer gets to raise the child. The parent usually has no right to visit or talk with the child. The parent no longer has to pay child support."

I think that works more as a punch line in Dave Chapelle's stand up than an actual policy. Not sure if this is legit, but I heard that if you sign over any and all parental rights, you don't have to pay child support. Sounds like it goes in line with this financial abortion option. So technically even the mother could have this option, but not many people would be willing to forfeit their parental rights entirely.
