| 2 | Sweden Passes New ‘FATHER’S RIGHTS’ Law . . . Men Can ‘OPT OUT’ Of Fatherhood . . . Until The 18th Week Of Pregnancy!!!To be honest I think you're rather missing the point. For one thing, it usually isn't during infancy that a child's guardians realise they can't afford them. There are currently 3.7 million children living in poverty in the UK. There is not enough demand for adoptions, even of infants, to balance that out. | /r/MensRights | 23/03/16 01:41 AM |

| 2 | Sweden Passes New ‘FATHER’S RIGHTS’ Law . . . Men Can ‘OPT OUT’ Of Fatherhood . . . Until The 18th Week Of Pregnancy!!!Adoption is already legal, and yet most countries have thousands of children in care who move between foster homes or stay in group homes. There just aren't enough rich people looking to adopt. In any case, it's usually better for both the parents and children that the family remains intact if possible. Family breakup is stressful! It's also not free - there's a whole load of administration to be done, and most societies offer carers allowances to foster parents and adopting parents. | -1 | Sweden Passes New ‘FATHER’S RIGHTS’ Law . . . Men Can ‘OPT OUT’ Of Fatherhood . . . Until The 18th Week Of Pregnancy!!!If you don't like it, you're free to petition the state to scrap child benefit. Alternatively, you can move to a country without child benefit. Having a child isn't a "woman's choice", society would collapse without it. I'm not saying we should force women to have children they don't want, but if only the rich have healthy children then we'll all be screwed. | /r/MensRights | 23/03/16 01:13 AM |
| -1 | Sweden Passes New ‘FATHER’S RIGHTS’ Law . . . Men Can ‘OPT OUT’ Of Fatherhood . . . Until The 18th Week Of Pregnancy!!!Children don't choose to be born and shouldn't suffer because their parents make bad decisions. Furthermore, children raised in poverty have poor life outcomes. It's better to use taxpayer money to help them now than use it to keep them on income support throughout adulthood, or deal with them in the criminal justice system, or deal with their health issues in hospitals. | /r/MensRights | 23/03/16 12:23 AM |
| -2 | Sweden Passes New ‘FATHER’S RIGHTS’ Law . . . Men Can ‘OPT OUT’ Of Fatherhood . . . Until The 18th Week Of Pregnancy!!!The best solution is to increase child benefit paid to single parents who are not receiving child support. That way, women wouldn't have an incentive to withhold information (I'm not convinced it would happen very often in any case), and children also wouldn't lose out (which is the reason most countries don't already have policies like this). | /r/MensRights | 23/03/16 12:00 AM |
