Yeah this post feels like a very superficial analysis of motherhood. One can list all the external reasons why someone shouldn't have children but none of them matter in the end when the desire to have children is present, especially for women. If any of these difficulties are reason enough to turn someone away from having kids I don't think the desire is very strong. Which is fine, not everyone has that strong urge to have children but if the lack of benefits is a core factor in the decision I …

I guess it depends on what you mean by this exactly. The idea of marrying a virgin when you're young, then having kids and all that usual traditional stuff that comes with it feels very alien to me. But long-term monogamy doesn't have to look like that. When I was still a virgin I might've felt like I'd be missing out if I had to choose one woman to have sex with for the rest of my life. But that ship has sailed long ago and these days I don't feel the need to add a bunch of women to the list. I…

My friend, you're misinterpreting my intent. The topic was brought up, you responded to it and asked some additional questions. I was attempting to expand on the topic and trying to answer some of the questions you put forth. I don't think your problem will be solved by just making friends. It's a connected topic that may play some kind of role but who knows how much in your case spesifically. It's a problem with many moving parts and even trying to diagnose it accurately is extremely difficult.…

The Red Pill has exposed your nature Well I think this sounds quite cultish, maybe this has some sort of meaning but these movements mean nothing to me and I'm starting to get the sense that there is no way to get through to you. So arguing my case may be completely pointless. But help me understand. If women really were opposed to those limitations, and really did care about those other metrics that are impossible to filter for on online platforms, then 50% of the couples wouldn't meet online H…

I wouldn't look at it like a spesific tool to get a job done, more like a long-term investment that pays dividends along the way on many fronts. For example, I have a group of friends of about 10-15 guys. A few of them I'm super close with and we chat almost daily. We try to see each other at least once a week or at least once a month at a minimum. The rest of the guys I don't see all that often these days but we shoot the shit on group chat and a few times a year someone organizes a little some…

Yes, it is 95+%(because there will always be a couple of percent of exceptions to every rule) of men and women want roughly the same things I think this part is turning into a yes-no-yes-no exchange so we'll just have to disagree for now and I'll move on to the other points. Ratio doesn't explain why women only pick the most attractive, tallest, and richest guys If ratio was the problem then below average, average men would also be picked Ratio and women being more selective working together. Do…

You people just keep throwing that nonsense around as if it's a fact No, I'm throwing it around that it's debatable. Not a clear set of characteristics that everyone wants, as your claims of objective value suggests. For example, not even close to all men want a younger partner. It is common, but a lot of men also prefer a partner of roughly the same age as them. A lot of men also don't want to date a virgin or a primarily submissive partner. Many of us value other things, believe it or not. If …

Do I have to fight? Seems kind of pointless when I've never been expected to pay.

I'm not arguing for OP's point but I think your claims on objective value aren't quite accurate as you're basing that value on subjective goals. Moreover, the objectively optimal concoction of characteristics in a mate is extremely debatable. Some characteristics might be good in one instance while being a real pain to deal with in another.

Thanks. I think I'm probably quite safe from that as my daily life paints a completely different picture but heck you never know, I wouldn't be the first person to lose touch with reality due to being online too much.

Well this certainly is an interesting opinion. I don't quite see how one would arrive at the conclusion that women aren't interested in dating men. I'd say a huge majority of women are definitely interested in dating men.

I hear you. I just recently discovered this sub by accident and the topic is intriguing, mainly because I struggle to understand the line of thinking that I see here a lot.

I always viewed the 1-10 rating system as a rough measure of what society on average regards as physically attractive. Like height for example, if I'm talking to my friends about a person they haven't met and say the person is 180cm tall they immediately get the idea without seeing the person in question. So from my perspective saying someone is a 10 in their view is a bit like saying a 180cm tall person is 210cm tall in their view. That may let me know their take on the matter but it gives me n…

Depends. In my culture talking to strangers in public unless there's a very good reason violates social norms so approaching a woman would likely be met with quite a bit of confusion.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 03:11 PM

Ok thank you. Can you spesify a bit more? Like where have you observed this pattern, where were these men from(which culture/society), how old were these men, was it in English only or in some other languages as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/26 02:26 PM

When you say that men often do X, are you talking about the men on this sub and similar online spaces, men online in general, men in your part of town, men in your country, young men, old men, men that speak English, etc.? Or men in general of all ages from all walks of life everywhere(as in, it's common behavior among men as half of the species)? I'm just trying to figure out who these claims actually apply to and whether there's something happening all around me that I'm oblivious to.

How many would you say is a lot of women? Because it's entirely possible for an average guy to find quite a few women to have sex with. Probably not the most beautiful women but definitely average and below average women. I know several guys like that, myself included.

I was trying to formulate my thinking on this and I really think you hit the nail on the head here. We don't focus on things that we probably don't have to worry about, even if they're just as important. It's the important things that aren't guaranteed that we put our attention on. What these things actually are tend to be different for men and women, hence the difference in what men and women look out for. I'd also add that these things can reverse in long-term relationships. In my previous rel…

This is very interesting. The behaviors you talk about sound quite unusual to me so I'd be interested in learning about this perspective. As you age out of the dating market, women can easily settle down with a nice dude who will provide. When do people age out of the dating market and what is meant by settling down? In my experience people jump in and out of the dating pool between relationships. They may be out for quite a long time when starting a family and such but very often they're back i…

You'd have to live with this person. Look them in the eye every day. The guilt would be unbearable. Why would anyone want to spend their lives like that? Realizing this was half the reason why I made the decision to never cheat again. The other half was maturing enough to be able to put myself in other people's shoes and understanding how incredibly painful cheating is for your partner.

Yes, in two long-term relationships. The first one I think I was around 17 or so and the other in my early 20s. I'm going to elaborate a little as I found the extras for the 'no'-people intresting. The options seem to tilt towards situations requiring some planning. That was never part of the equation for me. My cheating was always impulsive and happened at parties or after a night out with the boys when an attractive girl/woman showed interest, within a few hours of recognizing what they wanted…

So you think that men online exist in vacuum and their frustrations are turned off instantly when they are off? Their frustrations might absolutely be real but what percentage of men are we really talking about here? I'd imagine like less than 0.1%. This is certainly enough to be representative if the sample is random but the sample is anything but random. There are simply too many filters that exclude a vast majority of the population from the sample. You think in 2026 online isn't the real lif…

I need to push back on this a little bit. If a woman's abuse is a reaction to abuse then is the man's abuse something that originates within him as the root cause, or can it be a reaction to past abuse as well? If we're trying to establish a causal chain of events we need to go back to the beginning of time itself. Abusive situations don't just pop up with person X being an evil abuser. Controlling, manipulative and degrading behavior... Yeah, women tend to do that. It's another means of surviva…

I don't think it's a gendered issue per se even if the consequences have ended up disadvantaging women. It disadvantages people that have to work with overlapping schedules but nothing says women are responsible for making the schedules work.
