Edit: above all else DO NOT LISTEN TO THE OTHER COMMENTS. Ffs all the doomer forever alone shit and nasty personalities is precisely why they are like that. Before my current partner, it would get to me sometimes, about being lightly rejected or friendzoned but the reality is that you need to stop actively looking for a relationship to get a good one. It reeks and comes off as desperate. You should be trying to make friends with people and then go from there. No, it’s not bad if you still ask pe…

Lmfao you are absolutely insane, you are very creepy for overthinking it. There is absolutely no risk to you if you are literally just playing games, chill the fuck out. You are not vulnerable in any sense of the word

Nobody means that literally every single man is a pig. But he’s right, and I’m glad someone as old as your dad is likely is immune to such bullshit like you’ve fallen victim to- such gross self importance such that you can’t divide yourself from the shit ones in your own group, to where your only answer to valid criticisms of masculinity and a massive amount of men is “ but women too!!1!” Instead of advocating for men while also realizing how many of them suck

Only a socially inept basement dweller could take “harassment is bad” as “demonizing men”. This is obviously talking about men harassing women. Nobody is mad if you’re polite and ask someone for their number.

Lmfao adult men can and do make decisions on how to spend their money all on their own. Nobody is forcing them or coning them, and it absolutely is a fetish.

Men “sell their soul” to their preferred industry because they are consistently told that’s their worth; mostly by other men, but absolutely women too.

I have security cams in my house Otherwise, bad things can happen any time. Do you always dwell for very long on what you’ll do if you’re randomly shot on the street? Because that’s more likely to happen than being falsely accused of rape. In any case, be smart, try to stay on good terms with people you have sex with, and keep some verification after the fact that it was enjoyable. This should be easy if you aren’t having sex with anyone who isn’t enthusiastic, which you already shouldn’t be. St…

The effects of the patriarchy are complex and multifaceted, it’s a one word term for an umbrella of effects.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/06/23 12:16 PM
-16

Implying men don’t have male privilege and that anyone is really saying random kids are responsible for all of the worlds problems is both a gross misrepresentation of feminism AND inherently harmful to the point you’re trying to make. Half of the stats here are DIRECTLY because of the Patriarchy yet you fail to mention that completely. Surely the solution is somewhere between blaming people rightly pointing out the innate advantages males have and completely ignoring them.

The main character is gay and he rough plot outline” “But is it good?” “I think so, but you have to decide for yourself, I think you would” “BuT iS iT gOoD?! wHaTs ThE pLoT?!” Generally, a big reason you enjoy a show and recommend it to others is because it vibes well with you, and it probably will with someone else. But someone could see a "world toilet day" banner and think "hey, I didn't know this was a problem, maybe I'll donate". I can honestly say I didn't know it was a problem. Breast cancer is fundamentally different because it's been so many times, everyone knows about it

It's not a double standard. If there was a more important day we could be having instead of women's day, and weren't, that would be a double standard. Also, I have no idea what you said after that, because it certainly wasn't anything about what I said
/r/MensRights08/03/17 05:13 PM

Did I say that they did, or can I just not read what I wrote correctly?
/r/MensRights08/03/17 05:05 PM

If it doesn't matter then why do you care. The cause of Worldly sanitation is much more important that praising men, and men don't need a recognition day, why DOES it matter? I understand it's on the same day but I somehow doubt it was on purpose
/r/MensRights08/03/17 05:04 PM

I mean I think they're trying to raise awareness for the 2.5 billion people who don't have proper sanitation, but you might be on to something here, they might just hate men. Because we need days of praise, right?
/r/MensRights08/03/17 04:59 PM

I'm a bit more worried about the fact that 2.5 billion people don't have access to proper sanitation, but yeah, get triggered because you aren't getting honored.

This is just stupid. Everyone was in the war effort. Sure women didn't fight, mostly because they weren't allowed, but in America at least, women's played a huge role in the war.

It always makes me laugh when people say this towards news networks. Even if there is anything more news worthy, they choose what they think their readers care about, and most news network's social media pages pump out many stories per day, so it doesn't even matter

/r/MensRights09/01/17 07:14 AM

I have not, but yes, I know physical strength is needed still. Just less than a 100 years ago.
/r/MensRights30/12/16 07:23 PM
4

You think physics is the study of the physical body? Wew lad. I'm not really interested in discussing anything else if you don't even understand what physics is. Your point is true, obviously if women were better then men at physical tasks they would do them but NOW, in the 21st century, it doesn't matter. Good thing it isn't rocket science, your would probably thing that it's biology or something.
/r/MensRights30/12/16 06:34 PM
2

That's not what physics is, and it doesn't matter if men are typically physically stronger than females. For the last hundred or so years construction has been done with machines and less physical work. My point is that there is little to no reason this has all been done by men, just that there are less women in that line of work. Historically, women have been essentially forced to do things in house such as cook and clean. I don't understand how you think "historically there has been nothing to…
/r/MensRights30/12/16 06:04 PM
13

Lost me at the "but I believe there is a natural order"part. They only reason this is true is because of this thought process, not because men or better or more willing to do what must be done. Simply because we have been doing it for so long, because women have been unable to do anything for so long.
/r/MensRights30/12/16 04:24 PM
2

Exactly. Like I said, there is a standard, of which is reasonable, of feeling safe.
/r/MensRights18/12/16 08:24 PM
18

We are essentially given the right to feel safe because things like threatening terrorism or various other forms of violence are illegal.
/r/MensRights18/12/16 07:57 PM
36

You do have the right to feel safe. To feel safe to a reasonable extent is the same as actually being safe and having your rights be upheld. If my rights as a citizen and human being can be disregarded in a court of law, or infringed upon without punishment, it is reasonable for me to feel unsafe. Nobody said anything to conclude that their idea of being safe is unreasonable, you are just assuming that. You could be entirely correct that their idea of safe is unreasonable. But either way, you es…
/r/MensRights18/12/16 07:15 PM
17

No, you're wrong. You can make someone feel safe in reasonable terms and bounds. Obviously you can't base it off of ones unreasonable standards of safety, but, like how the law (in the us at least) commonly works, it can be based off an agreed upon and reasonable standard of "feeling safe". You are assuming that it would work based on someone's personal feeling, which just isn't how law works.

I'll explain further. When I say "...not letting someone like me have a job because I'm autistic" it doesn't mean "not letting me have a have a job because I am autistic", it more closely means "not letting someone who is autistic, such as myself, have a job because of said disability". This isn't particularly difficult English. While I didn't NEED to add that I am autistic, I felt like it would aid my argument, no matter how ever so slightly, and I simply don't care how insulted by it (for reas…
/r/MensRights11/12/16 02:37 AM

No, i used that specifically as an example because generally, when you use yourself as an example, it makes it more "real" to the person in which you are talking, and not just a hypothetical situation. It wasn't off point to say "me" because I was using myself as an example of a person with autism. Seriously, why are you so fixated on this? It seems a. It "entirely off point and irrelevant" to me. Do you feel triggered because I have a disability, or is it something else, because I assure you, I…

/r/MensRights10/12/16 11:06 PM

But that isn't inherently racist or terrible. They aren't saying they'll give them anything special.
/r/MensRights10/12/16 11:05 PM

Probably, yeah.
/r/MensRights10/12/16 11:04 PM

In my original response, I said discrimination is when an employer doesn't hire someone because they have autism. And I didn't answer because it was an example, not something that has happened
/r/MensRights10/12/16 10:54 PM
1

I have, and while there is, the computer science field still had the "only nerds and aspies can do this".
/r/MensRights10/12/16 10:50 PM
-5

Why are you so fixated on me being autistic? Do you have a fetish or something?
/r/MensRights10/12/16 07:52 PM
1

I mostly agree with that last part, so thank you.
/r/MensRights10/12/16 06:03 PM
6

That actually makes sense, thank you
/r/MensRights10/12/16 05:59 PM
-5

Well in a way, yes, it makes it hard for me to understand that people don't actually care about other people, but that's not what's happening here. It was an example of discrimination. How did my comment show any indication of me thinking someone cares that I'm autistic?
/r/MensRights10/12/16 05:56 PM
1

But why is it a problem that companies want more females in an industry dominated by males? All they're doing is encouraging females. If they don't want to be that's fine, but they aren't saying that they only want to hire females, they said they would be more interested in females.
/r/MensRights10/12/16 05:32 PM
-15

I just can't form words for this comments pure stupidity.
/r/MensRights10/12/16 05:27 PM
-17

That's because not enough women are in the field
/r/MensRights10/12/16 05:25 PM
-8

But nobody is being discriminated against. Females are being encouraged to join. And since I know that SOMEONE is going to say "but men are being discriminated against because they said they want females", Id like to point out that discrimination is not letting someone like me have a job because I'm autistic, not simply encouraging females to take a job in a male dominated field
/r/MensRights10/12/16 05:23 PM
-10

That there's like 90% males in the field. It's something anyone can do, so it's not a lack of females able to do it, its most likely that they aren't encouraged or told only males can do it.
/r/MensRights10/12/16 04:53 PM
-1

You beat me to commenting this. You're the only person who has said something intelligent here. The lack of females in the field is a problem, because like you said only half of females are applying to things like this. Even if this is guaranteeing a female a spot, that's not a bad thing when chances are that most people who would get a spot would be male.
/r/MensRights10/12/16 04:50 PM
-1

How are you being disadvantaged at all? They only said that they are interested in seeing top female students, not that they would only like them. You should be annoyed at female only scholarships, not this. A lack of females in computer science/programming fields is a problem, and google trying encourage females to join in an almost completely male dominated field isn't a bad thing. You aren't being disadvantaged at all, calm down. You sound the feminists that we all dislike.
/r/MensRights10/12/16 04:43 PM
2

I don't quite get it, whats the problem.
/r/MensRights14/11/16 03:09 AM
