You have a good point. You're like the boy who cried wolf. You post things from sites like "freehate.com" and "menarebetterthanwomen.com" so then I feel I can't trust anything posted by you. And then you finally post something decent and I don't believe you, based on your past record. I have hope for you that one day you won't be a misogynist. Maybe you will have a profound life changing experience like Malcolm X. He didn't believe that black and white people could work together until he went to…

Correction: It was the ABSTRACT of the research report that I read, not the report itself.

You're right, it is a quote from the article's headline. I didn't read the article. I read the research report that it was written about which concluded: "The context of the violence (reciprocal vs nonreciprocal) is a strong predictor of reported injury. Prevention approaches that address the escalation of partner violence may be needed to address reciprocal violence." My point is that the people who did the research were writing about a different topic. The "article" is just Mark Rosenthal's in…

Your title is misleading.

Excellent article. Right on the mark of what should be posted in this subreddit.

Now, this is a valid article on men's rights. This is the type of issue that should be focused on in this subreddit, not the hate that is so frequently posted.

Again, you think it's valid to post things from sites with names like "freehate.com?" The creator says "Actually I don't even want to be a misogynist. But what do you call yourself then when you hate 98% of females for being evil sexist bitches? It's not my fault they are like that. I wish they weren't, but they are." What if a woman said: "Actually I don't even want to be a misandrist. But what do you call yourself then when you hate 98% of males for being evil sexist assholes? It's not my faul…

Notice how you said "shot the first time." You could have said ejaculated but you chose to use violence in your comment, as if a penis is a gun. Check out this article that mentions violent sex language: http://uts.cc.utexas.edu/~rjensen/freelance/rapeisnormal.htm

Yes, that is an example of what I'm talking about. Articles have also been posted from a site called "Men Are Better Than Women." It's just more uninformed hateful rants that I think really bring this subreddit down.

I completely agree. A lot of the posts are blog entries that are so hateful I can't stand to read them. The moderator would probably never believe it but men's rights are part of feminism. Sexism hurts everyone, even men. Just like how racism hurts everyone, even white people. A lot of the posts that have been showing up about rape are down right offensive to anyone who is a person.

I'm confused as to who you are referring to when you say that "people are always quick to press rape charges." Who is always quick? Women? Many women who are raped feel ashamed and don't want to press charges. Men who are raped are also many times unlikely to report it. So again, who is quick? Do you have any studies that you can cite to back up your claim? Or do you have an irrational fear that women are out to get you?

Does anyone have an example of an "anti-male sexist joke?"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
