No. My example was not justifying her behavior. My example was an example that to a degree, as human beings, we generally will be more approachable to people to whom we find physically attractive. Is this truly that complex to you? I'm done pointing out the context of what should be obvious on its face regarding my statements.

Oh Jesus, you are taking things way out of context. I was not "sticking up" for anyone, but speaking generally of what some (not "all") of us do. I'm surprised I even need to point this out. The part you quoted? That does NOT stick up for her, but relates to a completely different issue. I don't even know what you are talking about or why. So, I'm done with that point.

I'm arguing obesity may not always be unhealthy. I'm not trying to debate with you on everything you wrote, but I must disagree. Just because an obese person has a healthy heart rate or cholesterol level, that doesn't render the person "healthy". Do you know what excess body weight does to the joints? Joints and a skeleton that were never meant to carry so much weight? That's like testing whether a body of water is "safe" by taking a few samples of water and testing for 10 dangerous substances w…

The dastardly neighbor had the audacity to let off some little fireworks (not the dangerous ones) on the 4th of July. Some of the remnants landed on her lawn. She put up a thread on a forum read by the world of how she walked right up to him, looked him in the eye, and...(brace yourself for this courageous moment) told him to CLEAN UP THE MESS ON HER LAWN. And then she babbled of how she never confronted a "tall man" before and how scary it was (never had any issues with said tall man) but she g…

Haha! Hell no! That is just ridiculous and the small yet vocal minority of women who think that are truly beyond unreasonable. Anyone, man or woman, has the right to politely tell a person "no, thank you" or even a rude "no" depending on how they are approached, and be left alone. Nobody owes anyone anything aside from basic respect and consideration (in the sense of being civilized and not being a pushy asshole). If some guy wants to join me or speak to me and I am not interested, so long as he…

Yes, I am new, and I haven't visited the feminist sites. Just the supposed 'neutral' female-oriented sites were uncomfortably strict with their rules about what I could say without a warning or outright ban. So I avoided them all together (although I admit at times I lurked in the Red Pill, as I was just astounded to believe that there are that many men who actually believe in the shit they are peddling.)

I think the majority of women would not put a height minimum (but that's just a thought, I haven't checked out the majority of female profiles). Of course you will get a small group of women who say "tall men only!" or something similarly stupid. Those are women that really wouldn't be worth responding dating anyway. I did have a good friend who was about 5'6 max. Good looking guy, and told me one day how a woman he met for the first time after chatting online was a bit unhappy with his height. …

Thanks. Yes - I was trying to be polite; was not sure if it was a male-only sub, and if it was, I'd want to respect that.

That's another can of worms. Enough insecure, fat women have gotten together to demand that men and women's natural inclinations towards healthy (ie: not overweight) partners is somehow wrong and a social construct. So they demand that men alter their natural feelings and now see fat women as inherently attractive (while hypocritically demanding that they are entitled to date only fit men). I don't need to convince you about the ridiculous nonsense the HAES is - you already know that. But what a…

Based on that name alone, I wouldn't even visit that sub. Its just dripping with pre-conceived hate in its title alone.

That's pretty tragic. I actually went to law school and at a time when everyone had to earn their way and there was none of this 'safe space' nonsense. I'm in my early 40s and fairly new to Reddit and only on here did I realize that this new wave of truly man-hating feminism exists where women need only take responsibility for their actions when its convenient. Never before had I heard of all this anti-cis nonsense. But, I look back at my mindset as a pre-teen and wonder if I would've fallen for…

Very good point. I suppose in my effort to not step on any toes, I preemptively qualified my argument to stand out, for whatever reason a reader will decide, although unintentionally so.

I would hope that debate would be on the merits of my argument and not on emotion. That would be refreshing change. I would not want or expect any different treatment just because of my gender.

I had made the post in a comment in response to a thread about a husband who was no longer attracted to his wife who put on 60lbs. So of course an argument ensued about whether he was shallow or not. I was saying not shallow. Few weeks ago I was discussing my ban, and some guy tested my theory that "you just say what I wrote, immediate ban AND you will be called a shitty person" (which the mods did to me). So to test my theory he made a new thread, entitling it verbatim as what I had been banned…

Well...I think we all do that to a degree. Let's pretend you are single and straight, and a stunningly beautiful woman comes up and asks if she can sit at your table at some Starbucks. Would you react exactly the same if a 400lb, unattractive woman did the same? I've caught myself being friendlier to men I find more attractive, and get quite ashamed to think that had another guy approached me in the exact same way but was not a guy I was attracted to, I might not be as friendly about saying "get…

Considering I got banned from OffMyChest by stating, "Being 100lbs overweight can never be healthy, ever"; was given my "first and last warning" at TwoXChromosomes and don't even bother posting at feminist sites, I think I'll be ok here. Edit: Warning from 2x? Yet another woman made a thread wanting public validation because she...told a neighboring guy to stop making a mess in her front yard! Oh, the courage! The bravery! She almost deserves an award like Caitlynn Jenner for the astounding mann…

I'm a woman - not sure if I'm allowed to reply here. What this woman wants is only certain men to catcall her. White, handsome, successful men only, and who do it in a "gentlemanly manner". And what's this shit about blaming her emotions, desires and reactions on "our culture"? Culture isn't forcing her to feel anything. Its her own choice, her own values and certainly the value she puts on total strangers not catcalling her as a lack of validation she needs to feel attractive. I'm getting older…

No, you're absolutely right. One is at most an insult, the other can bring criminal charges at its worst, or at its best, spread a rumor so someone always doubts you and you now have developed a lifelong anxiety that any other woman will do this again. It was a bad analogy on my part.

C'mon now, isn't that a bit overboard? "The female way of thinking?" Ok, Todd Akin.

That is fucking horrible. I'm a woman and cannot understand how even in high school a teen has no concept of how that can ruin a man's life. Glad you never again contacted that overly dramatic bitch. Would she like to be accused of being a loose whore if she wanted to sleep with you the first night?

Huh? I'm a woman and I'm not offended. Because I know not to throw babies in dumpsters. Some women don't know, or more likely, don't care or are so terrified their parents will murder them they don't think.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
