"It plays into well-worn stereotypes of revenge-seeking women." and certain stereotypes exist for a reason. and they keep going because they keep getting reinforced.

I have not found anything online about his exoneration. We're going to need a source on this, if possible.

i love how they use the word "Asian" in Europe. they'll never say "Arab". "Asian" is so vague- that could mean anything from Northeastern Russia, down to Turkey, the middle east, over to india, down into southeast asia, and up to Japan.

"man-spreading" can now get you a ticket in los angeles. i understand the idea of dealing with rude and inconsiderate riders....... but tey had to use that word?

don't try and keep growing it. do what I did and just cut it down to a buzzcut. if you keep growing it out you'll look even worse. after you cut it down to a #2 like I did, stop caring about your damn hair

as another sober alcoholic, i can agree here. they seem to find it intriguing if i don't get too deep into explaining it.

as a sober alcoholic, i've had girls get angry at me. however, i also don't go to bars anymore, so there's that. i assume you're at parties or bars? at the same time though, it's not that common for a chick to get all bent out of shape at me. i assume you're going after hot young party girls or something. that's might be a part of the problem if this is true.

go to meetings. i've been sober for 7 years myself. it works.

to add: I got the impression she was trying to get away from all that, and I guess I didn't make the cut as a means for escape, hence her never mentioning she was MARRIED. She was living on her own, separated from her husband I assume, no ring, and never mentioned an "ex" or anything like that. it was pretty impressive, really, that level of lying. I dunno. i actually feel pretty bad for her now, looking back on it.

my experience with "traditional" from asia is as thus: I dated an Indonesian girl (who we will call Kelly) who's mom brought her over here to america when Kelly was 5. Kelly is fucking beautiful. Blue eyes, amazing body, dark skin. Model material, really. However, her mom told her her whole life that she just wasn't pretty. It seemed to come off as a statement of fact. Since she had dark skin, and people with dark skin work in the fields because they are too poor to stay inside, then she wasn't …

i agree with that entirely, and both Why and How are often excluded

I see... that's a good explanation as well. Perhaps I'm trying to go too deep down the cognitive ladder here.

i am all about Why. I break things down and a analyze. I try to find the root- that is just how my brain works. this is a product of that is all. maybe this also comes from my core belief that there is a solution, too. call me optimistic.

if i spoke as if you were one or the other, that would be assuming. since I am asking, it's clear i have assumed nothing. that's why i am asking.

alright since people are being very clear on how the result was your fault (i guess), my advice would be to make sure your boss knows exactly what's going on and show him everything you have. save all e-mails and texts. this sounds like someone who knows how to manipulate others and make up bullshit to get her way. protect yourself as best you can instead of getting angry and rolling your eyes. if she tries to lie and get you fire for sexual harassment or something, you'll at least have all this…

you're taking it too seriously. you're scared and they can smell it from a mile away. so they start setting up all these conditions and stuff you can't possibly meet. it's a passive-aggressive way of denying you, while I think having some fun with it too. so you have a bad "picker"- you're attracted to those who are abusive. you might need to work on yourself for a bit and just avoid dating until you start to notice different girls are interested in you.

In the sense of dating and attracting women, the whole "be mysterious" thing comes to mind. Don't dump your whole story on her when you meet. Don't show all you've got. There are certain things that she'll probably find to be a turn off as she isn't attracted enough yet to overlook them. "...based on deception" probably shouldn't be taken literally- don't lie (unless you can provide "proof" or remember it well enough to keep it going, usually just to get laid) but instead entice- suggest intrigu…

well yeah, that's what I included the "if it feels like work" part. if you get excited about doing it, looking forward to it, start thinking of new ideas at random times, etc etc what have you enjoyed doing in the past? what was a childhood thing you liked... that was NOT gaming?

Stephen King explained in his autobiography "on Writing" that a writer must not wait for inspiration. you have to create a disciplined schedule to write. then your brain will become more conditioned to get "inspired" in that timeframe. think of this in the same way for other hobbies. the more you work at it, the better you get at doing it. couple that with your entirety being in the groove as well. this is how people become such amazing whatevers. and if it keeps feeling like work, try something…

a word of caution and a question to you actually: as an american guy, i've deal with this ad nauseum: they seem interested, you might even have a thing going, and then they suddenly stop texting/talking/replying to you. the end. it's amazingly selfish and callous, but seems to be getting normalized, so much so it's come to be called "ghosting". does the same thing happen in europe?
