If you have a second CC look into what promotional offers they have and balance transfer to that card immediately. They usually have offers like 0% interest for 15 months on balance transfers and such. Once the 15 months gets close you can balance transfer again to avoid high rates.

That's awesome. My biggest regret is not pushing for a trial date sooner once custody was worked out in mediation.

Only $5k with a trial? That's a steal! I've spent over $15k and not even gotten to trial yet.

That's my point, it's for show. Mine became super mom when I announced I filed, but once that parenting plan was signed she was back to her same ole shit. Late school drop offs, missing school pick up, only cooking convenience foods for the kid, not cleaning, not spending much time with kid etc.

If anything like mine as soon as the parenting plan is agreed upon she'll go back to the lazy parenting.

File ASAP, divorce is already a long process, no need to make it take longer by not filing as soon as possible. File and serve her papers. Hopefully you've consulted with an attorney. I personally would not let her "take your son and move out" without a temporary custody agreement/parenting plan in place.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
