I used to do the fitness testing in Ontario for police applicants. The testing standards are not unreasonable here. You have to complete an obstacle course within a certain time limit with a push/pull component. Yes, more women failed than but it was usually due to lack of conditioning or small stature.

Hey u/Sterling_Irish, Former York U gym employee here. I don't know how I can add to this so if you have any questions about how we did/still do women's only hours I might be able to answer them. Basically at York, we have a squash court sized fitness area which was used for women's only gym time. The usage is small however, between 0-5 on average over a 3 hr period. Tait is over crowded half the time and what I've noticed is that, the gym is used by women who want a bit more space as overflow a…
