Because she didn't threaten anybody, she just repeated a trope.

learn to he a lawyer/represent yourself I don't know where are you from but if this was my country you'd just advice the guy to spend 6 years and over 9.000 dollars to resolve a now problem

Indeed. Edited cause I was sleeping and I forgot the context you made the question in: There are crimes that have harshes sentences when the perpetrator is male and the victim a female to whom he has/d a sentimental relationship. There is a special, separate court that judges these things alone. Murder is not included among those. It would apply to coaction, threats, aggressions, insults etc.

Not me, I can assure you that, but our laws are based on reintegration of criminals. Only the most despicable crimes could get you a lifetime in prison here (for now, as the legality of permanent prison was contested by some political parties when the law was passed, and the Constitutional Court has yet to decide whether it is legal).

I mean for us is a lot, very very few things could get you more time in prison than what she got in here.

The maximum sentence would've been 15 years. She got 13.

I guess it's all about your economic background and what opportunities can your country offer you.

Is not like about "the Spanish standards" but about living. I mean for example here if you want to buy a house you get a mortgage for 30 or 40 years depending on the salary. If you lose 10 of those years, you won't be able to ever get a house on your name.

Well 8 years un prison is considered quite a lot here, a life wasted.

She received a normal sentence by Spanish standards. The criminal system here is not as based in retribution as it is in reintegration.

Dudes this happened in Spain, where I come from. This is totally common, there is no pussy pass here nor a light sentence for Spain's standards.

You are whatever the hell you want to be, this sub is not a place to discriminate, but to denounce discrimination.

I work at a courthouse and I can say that some people (regardless of political views or gender) reaaallly think that the world fucking owes them everything for what they've done for us. It's baffling the levels of entitlement some people get, like this military spouse. Thank you for your service, I guess? Lol...

I'd like to add that even if this was not the case and she really was this mad, she as a reason to. US is going backwards with the abortion matter.

What about her own father? There must be something somewhere people don't get this stupid out of nothing, I refuse to believe you can brainwash somebody who's not deeply hurt like this.

I agree completely with your initial 2 statements. But... White men have always had the right to vote. False. Men don't have to fight for fair wages, voting rights, educational rights False. Joined the military and was in combat where women wanted to fight but where not allowed I'm glad some women want to defend your country, but historically feminism has been quite okay with only men stablishing combat. I drive in stores and go around and NEVER worry about a pervert following me or a bigoted co…
