5	Why you recording? I know this has now gone completely away from the point of the original reply but where in the US can the police just take something off my person without due process? Doesn’t the 4th amendment protect you from unreasonable search and seizure? And that’s directed to those who are accused of a crime. Now you’re talking about an innocent bystander that had nothing to do with the crime in the first place. 8	Why you recording? I am by no means a lawyer or an expert in law by but I don’t believe the police can just take something they want. I’m assuming some type of warrant and process would have to be followed (at least in the us) for them to obtain that video. And I’m fairly certain a copy of the video via email would suffice. That being said, If you feel like you need to intervene in a crime taking place just check out the dude who was killed by a guy with a concealed over an argument regarding handicap parking.
