I'm not sure of the laws in her area but I've heard of women getting away with multiple false rape accusations because the court wouldn't allow the past accusations to be brought up in court because it might persuade the jury to think she brought it on herself. I think it was made so if a woman was raped the attacker couldn't bring up how much she slept around but it's obvious how the rule can be misused.

It’s easy to feel like they might be wrong in accusing her because they’ve not explained any evidence on why she was charged, but then again I understand why they didn’t release any info. Could they be charging her with murder instead of manslaughter knowing it will not stick and then she is released? We see police officers get away with a lot, so maybe the city wants to appear tough on her and they found a way to do both. I am not making that accusation but it looks to me that a lot of people think that it will be extremely hard to charge her with murder, considering that she needs intent and this really screams accident.
