Women have created a culture where guys have no way of knowing if they are going to get a woke Karen or a willing flirtee at the gym (or anywhere), so we just don't bother anymore. You created this culture, so you live with it.

I mean... she's right. Most of the guys on the apps are jump scares. There's a reason why they're on the apps in the first place.

I think they can have legal equality, but not natural equality, if that makes sense. For example, in a lot of media these days you see very small women taking on huge guys in fights and defeating them all without a scratch. Yeah... that'd never happen. That's not say that there aren't bigger, stronger women out there who can't hold their own, but men as a sex are way stronger physically than women. I think pretending that's not true actually puts women at risk. I've looked at the physical streng…

The answer is simple: it avoids self-actualization, which is way more rewarding than whatever you think you're getting for being toxic.

Please stop using the term cognitive dissonance. Like almost everyone who uses it on social media, you're not using it properly.

I'm not trolling you when I ask this, just being real. And I'm going to use arbitrary rating system for the sake of conversation. Is your complaint here that you're, say, a 5/10 and you can't get 9-10/10 women because all the 10/10 guys are getting them? Or is it that the 10/10 guys are getting all of the 5/10 women too? The first scenario has been the case forever. The second scenario, I am skeptical, beyond even the most casual of sex. 10/10 guys don't generally end up with 5/10 women. There a…

I don't think there's anything wrong with promoting a healthy physique so long as steroids are not involved. Going to the gym and staying fit is a good thing and will increase your odds of successful dating.

You can't possibly know that.

That's why I said physical, emotional, and personality attractiveness. Other kinds of attractiveness can only be developed in relation to others, like in community. People don't tend to fare well in their development when they are around echo chambers all day. But physical attractiveness is always the entry point... it gets your foot in the door.

My comment is also from personal experience. I went to the gym, increased my fashion awareness, got licensed in a profession that nets me a decent income, and I enriched my single life as much as possible to the point that I was happy being alone. Now I have a life partner.

No matter how much the media and the government spreads fear about the population collapse, and no matter how many incentives are created, I'm not having children. Among other reasons, I have no desire to raise a child in this dystopian society. If they want people to have kids, they need to create a system that is fair and doesn't cater to the top 1% of the world's plutocrats. More or less the same group of financial elites have ruled the world for hundreds of years. Having kids is just another…

Maximizing your physical, emotional and personality attractiveness is the only thing that matters. All other dating advice is bogus. I'm sorry but it's true. A lot is overlooked if you're attractive. Loners and introverts can score relationships if they display or demonstrate attractiveness. It's shallow but this is the way the world works. And if you don't think you're attractive then work on maximizing your attractiveness. There are so many ways you can look into. Or, you know, just resign you…

I don't think anything needs to change. The free market will sort this one out. I've seen apps that create limitations, like preventing people from messaging someone unless the person invites them, or adding additional protections for women. Way fewer people use those apps, they are like dating deserts. And the people on those limited apps are the exact same people you see on all the other apps. So if you pay to use the limited apps in order to find unique quality people, you're wasting your tim…

Love the jab about "online mainly" in order to be dismissive. All my male friends are talking about this in person. Straight, gay, you name it. Misandry is becoming normalized, mostly by progressivism. Making it seem like a fringe thing is why a proper dialogue isn't taking place and is why men are starting to get fed up. We're just going to keep talking about it, whether or not you want to be part of the conversation is up to you. Men will not be dismissed.

There is a definite trend in society right now of denigrating men. The right wing are doing it because they have always supported one particular version of the "model man" and the diversity of men now appearing in the mainstream offends them. The left are doing it because social justice feminism is trying to turn the tables on the oppression narrative by denigrating men and calling it "anti-oppression." Meanwhile there is so much data showing that men are falling behind in society and neither si…

My partners have always been at least 10 years older than me, except for one, and the age difference itself has never been a problem. The issue always comes down to compatibility, which is not intrinsic to age. "A relationship like that gives me the ick." <-- I think this sums up where your opinion comes from. The idea that all relationships with an age disparity are concealing some deeper unconscious thing (like parent/child or another power dynamic) may be a stereotype, but I don't think it's …

I am. It has taken a long time to get to the point where I could own it because people like you think I'm merely being egotistical and try to make me feel less than I am. The dating world is a tough slog and I'm very happy where I've made it to, with the great partner I currently have. My observations stated above remain true to my life. Obviously there are no universal truths here, just personal experiences. The OP is misguided if they think that people who date older are doing so as a result o…

As someone who has always dated older men, I have to say that the primary reason is that I actually can't stand most men in my peer group. Compared to me, they are immature, make poor life choices, don't have their shit together, and are frankly boring to be around. Also I am just physically attracted to older men. They look like men and not boys. I don't agree with the idea that you need to run with your peer group in order to gain valuable life experience. It's the blind leading the blind. Old…

I think this is a pretty formulaic and jaded view of how life works. Maybe there are average statistics which show that this is true, but there are always going to be huge numbers of outliers who don't follow this pattern. People can be little shits in their 20s who do better later in life, or vice versa. I've seen plenty of examples of both. The key seems to be money. If you are materially supported then transitioning to different lifestyles and ways of being is a lot easier, as long as the wil…

Most of the social, economic, and political problems cited in this thread can be traced back to the introduction of neoliberal policy from the 1980s onward. I'm not a communist but Marx was correct about one thing: a person's economic status is directly tied to their social status. It is more difficult than ever for the young generation to acquire capital. Without it, they are serfs in their own countries. Neoliberalism means mass migration of people, the intermingling of cultures, and the tempo…
