I think it is pretty malicious for the most part, in that they force responsibility for their own actions onto the man. Been there, but only after I refused to continue to support a cheater. Evolutionarily, and I say this with a heavy chest, I think women have had to switch men due to one being physically stronger and have biologically adjusted to that.
