Men are probably, on average, just as superficial as women -let's face it, the average guy is happy talking endlessly about football or rugby - but I think the difference is SOME men have no interest in those things, whereas seemingly ALL women are fascinated by celebrity, fashion etc. Even highly intelligent women i know can't resist Grazia magazine or the Daily Mail sidebar of shame and will spend small fortunes on their appearance.
