By those standards McDonalds is the best restaurant in the world. To further push your analogy, when I'm on vacation I prefer finding the quieter more authentic restaurants than bustling tourist traps.

I would google which restaurant has the best reviews. Sadly when I pitch this idea to investors, they say rating people on an app is unethical.

Me and my friends are also picky. We haven't encountered the dating issues discussed here in real life.

Those 'people' are not worth talking to when they say that stuff. Its disgusting, but not worth arguing about as they're likely bots, trolls, mentally unwell, etc. If someone on the street came up to you and said you owed them 500 bucks, you wouldn't explain how you don't actually owe them anything, you would walk away.

I understand where you are coming from. As a guy, the things written on PPD and other subreddits are sometimes disgusting and dangerous. But its important for us to take a step back, and ask who is writing these things? They could be bots, mentally unwell, people that are rage-baiting, people from different cultures across the world, or most likely here, a small minority of men that are dissatisfied and find themselves in a likeminded group. Its the reason that I think subreddits or online space…

Obesity is not a uniquely American issue. Cmon dude.

The nuance being the interplay of genetics, hormones, socio-economic factors, governmental factors, environmental factors and person psychology. While the 'burn more calories than you put in model' is easily understood, the reality is more complex. For the record, I think obesity is a terrible thing and should be something we focus on as a society.

The obesity epidemic is extremely nuanced. Trying to use it to strawman your argument is at best silly.

I'll just talk about that part quickly - emotions, memories and long-term attachments make it difficult to end relationships, even if they are unhealthy. As an outsider, you may try to solve things logically, but you won't have a full understanding of the history and chemistry that people in a relationship or friendship share. People in relationships are not logic machines looking for set outcomes; this woman doesn't want a random hot guy off of Tinder. She's likely afraid of giving up the comfo…

I mean, with new advances in science we learn more and more that environmental factors play a large role outside of genetic makeup. Nevertheless, whatever the truth regarding genes is, resorting to a pessimistic predetermined fallacy is not a good life tactic.

there is no-to-little correlation between height and penile length, so the short guy may actually be packing! mmm i love fantasising about penis length of other men, nothing gets me quite into the relationship dating mood like it

its because dude 1 points at the lady, whereas dude 2 has his palm facing her. she can read his future through his palm and it says that he will receive an award from human resources soon. thus she is calling human resources to let them know he needs an award
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 02:39 PM

why stop at sucking cock? i think people shouldn't have sex at all, and instead all pregnancies should occur through IVF! this way noone is sinning

or we can make the assumption that someone who is devoted and disciplined in their job will also be disciplined about working out... everyone here keeps making such negative assumptions :(

Every single time someone posts an us vs them debate I can tell that they will continue to stay single for a long time. Why does it even matter who has it easier? By doing all these comparisons and recycling your negativity you're making yourself sadder and less likeable. These thoughts seep into your everyday life and are quite easy to pick up on.

If thats the logic you come up with, then I can see why women wouldn't want to be friends with you. I don't want to fuck my female friends because I respect them and myself. You can create deep social connections without resorting to sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/25 03:14 PM

I'll agree on the point that it's interesting to see how society will react to the new differences in career and education performance between men and women. I don't think it's unreasonable to want a partner that is as educated and successful as you, as you're more likely to be able to understand and fit into each other's lives. The changing proportion between the two sexes will pose an issue, and it will be interesting to see how that resolves. I don't think this is necessarily an issue of wome…

Therapy sessions don't only occur when people are sad. They're used to figure out why people hold certain beliefs, such as why you want to be well-liked stemming from your upbringing and familial heritage. It sounds like youre living outside the Western World, so my advice would be to stop consuming Western media such as reddit as it does not relate to you. Most people on this sub will not understand your culture or beliefs, and all debate will be coming from completely different worldviews that…

What if the issue is that the men that relate you are all inside this same echo-chamber/social circle. You say you don't know any men that are happy in dating or relationships, yet for me every guy I know is doing just fine. We have different social circles, and thats where the problem is. The guys you hang around with have certain ideals and act a certain way; and you miss the many other ways people can act and live life. It's hard, yes, but do consider how your social circle impacts your world…

After seeing male dating app profiles from one of my girl friends, I agreed that the majority of them suck so much - lack of personality, lack of emotional intelligence, lack of insight are all things I got from scrolling through a few friends apps. I really struggled to find guys that are 'decent'.

Usually this would have been led up to through previous flirting, body language of getting closer and closer, making out, going together to a separate room etc. It may also be someone you've seen for a while, since you'd have to be in a private room with them anyway with a good vibe before anything can happen. If you're unsure, verbal consent is important, but often its clear both parties are having a good time.

If you've ever been in the situation described above, you would know that it doesn't feel like 'trying'. The situation is understood easily by both parties and it simply requires going with the flow - any 'official' asking out on a date is just ceremony, with the answer known beforehand.

n = 1 but despite having 'looks' and a fun dating life when i was 16-19, my dating life substantially improved as I further developed my personality personality also plays into 'looks', from the way you dress, to the way you carry yourself, style your hair, how you walk, how you look like when you're talking to other people. these are all factors affected by personality that matter in how people perceive you

Sorry, I already depicted myself as the chad and you as the soyjak. On a real one, we come from two different cultures and thousands of kilometres away from one another. I can only say that what people write on western based forums like reddit may not reflect the reality you will see in your own life. Best of luck.

Reading your post history, I feel that you have a certain mindset that reflects how you analyse social situations. I wish you the best of luck in your life and hope that one day you overcome the limitations you have placed on yourself.

Its normal because the consequences are always more significant for the woman. Without recent advances in healthcare and contraception, woman had a significant chance of pregnancy with every encounter - which brings psychological, health and lifestyle impacts, with the risk of death. Women need to be more careful in selecting their partners so that they have someone to support them throughout pregnancy when they are more vulnerable. Hence men have throughout history had to prove their worth as a…

I also have trouble believing your story as is. Often times when I hear stories like this and dig deeper, the guy ends up having said something unusual or is socially in-experienced and misunderstood how badly they were coming off.

If you are socially awkward, you need to work on that before approaching women. Learn how to interact in work and group settings, in 1 on 1 conversations. It won't magically come to you as you approach a woman for the first time, and it's very clear when you do. Is it societies fault that men are becoming more socially awkward? Maybe - there's a lot more isolation and expectations of not being interrupted in public, especially in large cities. But on an individual level, its something that can b…

Agreed. I've previously had similar fears from high school of not overstepping boundaries with people, particularly women, but with time and experience you understand how to navigate the spectrum of dealing with both men and women. In the end, it comes down to having good enough social awareness to understand when to flirt, tease, be serious, be attentive etc. I think a lot of men get caught up in hard rules of how to act, when in reality its more about being socially aware on how to approach ev…
