Yet another guilty until proven innocent "silence is not consent" push supporting affirmative consent. A few years ago with the push for marriage equality it was all about goverment not meddling in this sort of private affairs between two consenting adults. Now the same people that were pushing for that are now asking for goverment leglistation on this same area. Regressives indeed.

Tha't how it always is, their double standard is quite obvious. Women are better than men at x - is celebrated Men are better than women at y - is called sexist Women outnumber men in x field - is good Men outnumber women in y field - is problematic They truly are blatantly sexist.

The mother of the student accused of sexual misconduct also spoke. She told a story of her son helping a drunk woman home when she had lost her key. The accused student let the woman wait at his apartment until her roommate returned home to let her in, so that the woman wouldn't be alone outside in the cold. Sometime later, another young woman accused the student of holding the alleged victim against her will, despite text messages from the drunk woman thanking the accused student for his help. …

As it seems, the only light at the end of the tunnel is a freight train coming our way. It really will get worse before it gets better.

Rape = power + privilege, therefore a black man cannot rape a white woman. Would like to see them respond to that one.

Yep, there is a playlist (I posted it on this thread) with videos from several YouTubers in response to her.

Well at least she is getting debunked in the comments by practically everyone and the like/dislike ratio of her video is promising. Many prominent YouTubers have done rebuttal videos as well: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEKGK4MEzMRkW3S5IrrBg9ETqGq9ZIRsb ^ Check that playlist.

TIL that starting a conversation by stating "Your argument sucks" is a surefire way to convert people to your point of view. Yeah she may as well start with: "I don't care what you have to say but hear me out". She contradicts herself a lot in the video as well.

SJW/Feminists have been the strongest advocates for the open border policies and always go out of their way to defend Islam and the migrants from any criticism as they consider them an oppressed minority in need of protection (as per their oppression olympics chart), so they avoid tackling the real problem, which is that Islam generally perpetuates a literal rape culture and as such the massive influx of men from said culture naturally leads to an increase of sexual assaults against women; and i…

If we use proof in rape cases, we fall into the patterns of rape deniers. Of course Emma Sulkowicz would say something like that; she knows her entire narrative is without basis and would fall apart if put under scrutiny. We can't have that, specially with how she is seen as a feminist icon and prime example of rape culture. I really hope the guy she falsely accused sues her ass and she finally gets her long overdue comeuppance.

Well, we don't live in isolation, an individual's stance on the quesion of god(s) and religion be it pro or con is something that naturally has an impact on the way they relate between each other within society. The sub states in it's welcome message that: "All topics related to atheism, agnosticism and secular living are welcome". For an example of such a topic, take a teenager that doesn't believes yet his parents are the sort of religious people that try and force their children follow their …

That doesn't follows, me not believing X due to lack of evidence doesn't means that I hate X. Atheism being defined as a lack of belief in god(s) does not necessarily entails a hatred towards belief in god(s); specially when we consider how diverse the umbrella of theism is, where you can have radically opposed religions like Islam and Christian Quakers under the same group. Of course, that is not to say that there aren't anti-theists, atheists who downright hate the very concept of someone beli…

The attitude shown in the quote by the second girl on that post is downright foul: “So anytime a man worries about being false accused, you just assume he’s a rapist?” “Yup.” “That’s not fair.” “So?” “My buddy was falsely accused.” “Thanks for letting me know, I’ll avoid being alone with your buddy.” “My buddy’s not a rapist.” “That’s not really for you to say. That’s for the women he’s fucked to say.” Forget gulty until proven innocent, that is now guilty after proven innocent. Another reason w…

Ridiculous how she thinks it is acceptable to say that until women have 50% representation no debate about men's issues should take place.

This is the sort of deranged mind that feminists would have us "listen and believe" and assume the accused is guilty purely on their say so. The feminist mindset that women are precious innocent snowflakes that can never do or say anything wrong and are always right about everything is incredibly pernicious (not to mention obviously false) and should be challenged at every opportunity.

It's surprising how few college age women recognize this as the same infantilization of women we've seen throughout history except paradoxically dressed up as ensuring women's equality. Yep, the woman in this case is still seen as an object with no agency.

In a twisted sense, administrators were correct to find John Doe guilty. He was accused of sexual assault, and he couldn't prove the encounter was consensual. Guilty until proven innocent in action.

Very good read. He makes a great point about the feminist approach to gender equality. Very much every feminist group/organization or agenda that involves men has them being subservient to women, working for the causes of women and never for a cause to address the issues of their own genders. This is why feminists always like to refer to feminist men as "allies"; they are basically tolerated in the movement as useful idiots. They are never seen as equals and you won't see the feminists working t…

You'd forget that people are human beings just like you. That's essentially what the whole thing boils down to. Just as they are oblivious to the very concept of empathy they do not see you as a person but as a set of external attributes that fit into a predefined category in the oppression chart. It is decidely inhuman.

Feminism is basically a religion at this point. The patriarchy is the great evil god who hates all women and rape culture represents the sinful and fallen state of the world perpetuated by males (specially straight white ones) who suffer from a form of original sin that distorts their nature in such a way that thay can't help but rape and sexually harass women at every turn (so they must be taught not to do so). Just as with any dogmatic movement there is no room for debate and rejection of the …

Yeah as things are going, her "legacy" will amount to a bunch of man hating tweets. She truly has nothing worthwhile to say, see her TEDx talk about rape culture for example: Your vagina is not a car: Clementine Ford at TEDxSouthBankWomen Just preaching that rape culture dogma.
/r/MensRights11/12/15 10:40 PM

I was questioning your generalization; there are people such as Christina Hoff Sommers, Camille Paglia and Wendy McElroy, for example, who are feminists but who as far as I know do not hate men.

Good luck with that, she is a martyr for the feminist cause, living proof that rape culture is exists. As such, feminists will continually exhibit her as a prime example of it and she also can't ever get enough of the drama.
/r/MensRights11/12/15 06:19 PM

I really doubt the petition will do anything; her employer is on board with feminism and is aware of her antics, she also has a large following and it along with the attention she is getting must be driving a lot of traffic to their site.
/r/MensRights11/12/15 01:09 PM

Yep, that is the debate I had in mind when I thought of Valenti using Emma Sulkowicz's case as the prime example of rape culture. Her complain about being "tired" of people thinking that the existence of rape culture is up to debate was quite telling. She wants everyone to just accept that premise without any reasoning or evidence to demonstrate it first. McElroy really destroyed Valenti in that exchange; no wonder why Valenti wanted her side of it taken down.

Of course she did, now that prominent feminists (Jessica Valenti, Laurie Penny, etc) are using her case as a prime example of rape culture we can't have it being shown to be a hoax. Gotta keep that narrative going.

That's a good sign, it means you recognize your own sexism. Refer to the video for some tips on how to become and be a better femenist ally /s
/r/MensRights10/12/15 10:46 PM

Yep, she also writes for a feminist blog that doesn't allows comments on it's articles. That's the typical feminist MO, shut down comments to create an echo chamber.
/r/MensRights10/12/15 06:30 PM

Honestly can't believe the patronizing going on here, so much for it being about equality; feminist men are always seen as second class citizens by their female counterparts. They are meant to be subservient to the women, as that recent Feminist Frequency video about ending sexism so clearly illustrated.
/r/MensRights10/12/15 05:19 PM

That's what happens when you become oblivious to the very concept of emphaty and instead of seeing and relating to actual persons you see everything in terms of a priviledge/oppression scale where peopel fit in a particualr spot based on how many gender, sex, race boxes they tick.

The opposition to abortion from Christians flows from their belief that God creates the human soul at the moment of conception (making it a human being at that point, the killing of which is a violation of the sixth commandment); so their position would very much be the same if it were men getting pregnant. It is not an equal rights issue, Steinem fails to make a valid point here.

until the MRM decides to be as ruthless as the enemy, we are fucked. Very much, which is why I think people like Ford are practically immune to anything one may do at the moment given that the courts and companies just bend over and favor these feminsts.
