We are in a behavioral sink in the US. Your average woman is not attracted to your average man: 5' 9", $50,000 annually, no six pack. And they are entitled to that. However, this is leading to a psychological crisis in America. Men are coping with porn. Women are coping with pets and political activism. Attempts to address this topic are met by anecdotes and personal attacks. I expect as much in the comments.

I can respect that personal viewpoint. However, my estimation is that way of thinking is more rare than common. Wealth-Competentence correlation may be an unconscious thought processes as well. And unconscious thought processes go unnoticed in one's life.

It's all about framing. Few would argue women want a partner who is incompetent. Humans on some level measure competence by wealth. So if a potential dating prospect is more poor than oneself than they are viewed as less competent.

"Why would any sexual or romantic being choose an option with no dating prospects?" That is what I want to know too. But in all seriousness I should of used "rare dating prospects" rather than "no dating prospects".

This post made me wonder things. Girls who date men would you rather: women are 50% more wealthy than men on average, but there are no dating prospects Or men are 50% more wealthy than women on average, but great dating prospects are limitless

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
