Close the door, stop the bleed. You can communicate other ways

It’s almost like she’s telling you what she wants and you don’t listen. That’s part of the problem.

Nah. She’s an independent woman, holla.

Not everything is peaches and cream for her dude. She may have moved on but I don't think for one minute she has forgotten about her past. The fun you guys had at some points. In the memories that you two created. Let go of the rope. You're holding on for something. she's not coming back. If she cared for you as much as you cared for her.. she would hope that you find closure in her moving forward so that you can live a better life yourself .

who cares. focus on your path. or do you want us to tell you that shes having sex with the best lover shes ever had in the world. she always finishes and shes never been so satisfied. if you take a few minutes you can recognize how all of that doesnt matter. you will, and others will find reasons to hold onto the pain of what could have been. you have to accept the suck and move on. The only short cut in grieving and moving forward is to start today. there isnt a potion. there isnt a jordan pete…

I don’t think it was a leading cause. It definitely had a chair of the reasoning. It was her. I was loyal. The icing on the cake is that she asked for permission to have an open relationship the day before she cheated. Her mind was made up. It was just whether or not she had my blessing.

Is this acting as a support or a solution to your loneliness?

Stop having sex with her. It’s keeping you behaving regardless of how you feel inside. Another point is why should she care? She’s getting her cake and eating it too. If the dates go bad, she can always rely on you to have sex with her at the end of the day. Start getting your ducks in a row. By the sounds of it this situation is not sustainable.

Are you comfortable by yourself? The big thing I always hear people say is if you don't like your own company, the person you're dating might not like it either. Honestly you won't know until you try it. My advice to you as somebody who had the same issue I was back and forth on. - Go with the intention to make friends. - Please for the love of God establish some values so you don't fall in love with the next pretty face you see. If they don't align on what you deem very important Then you're se…

As someone who was cheated on, and thought to myself "ill let her family know what a cheating POS she is" I reached a point after growing myself, finding success, finding my own identity.. That i really didnt care. She continued to be shitty, and shitty today. Thats her issue, thats her future. You will meet plenty of good people in the future. Im sure you have had one or two bad coffee's or teas in your life. you know how good a good coffee or tea can be. dont let this sour one spoil your life.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. It sounds incredibly challenging and emotionally draining. Remember that you deserve to be treated with respect and care, especially during a difficult time like this. No insight or comments. hopefully you wrap up this madness sooner than later.

Most men seek support after the other boot has dropped. Women seek support while things are falling apart. So men are seeking help in a heightened emotion. Some never leave that space.

It seems that when you're with your children, you're reminded of the family unit and what could have been. Instead of getting caught up in nostalgia, consider this an opportunity to rebuild and create new memories with your son. You can reclaim old traditions and make them new again, just for the two of you. This can be a chance for you to rediscover and redefine what family means to you, independent of your ex-partner

You're trapped in a relationship that feels unfair and unbalanced. Unfortunately, your wife's gambling addiction is a harsh reality that can have devastating effects on individuals and families. I've seen many stories of people losing everything due to their addiction. Your fear of leaving is understandable, especially when it comes to the impact on your children. However, it's essential to remember that having one healthy parent outside of the household is often better than having two unhealthy…

Thanks for sharing your story. 2018 divorce was raised.. within a few months she had a lawyer. We had a nice house in a nice area. Everyone suggested i sell, buy a condo, buy a house later when things were affordable. I decided against it and stayed in the house. lump sum bought her out. expenses haven't really changed from when i was providing for the whole house, and when she left. I did need to make more money at one point so i became an independent contractor. it allowed me to have more flex…

I would block her and her people on social media, unless you friends and associates want to say they stand with you.. you dont really need to see the stuff shes writing about you. Hatred runs deep with people and its their own need for glorification they will burn everything around them just to say they survived the fire.

I second most of this, I had one journal and i always started the entry with the bad things from the day and would finish with the postive notes. When i found myself more comfortable with things i was feeling i moved to voice notes. i could do them at any time and i can make them as long or short as i needed. The best part about the voice notes allows us to go back and listen to things we said. If we are being fully transparent on being better, and healing. You should be able to listen to that n…

are you refering to financial disclosures? asset summaries? tax returns from the last x years?

Agree on the sentiment to split all assets. Seek legal council outside of a lawyer? Some companies have some legal council included in their compensation packages under mental health services.

Back up any documentation you have. Text messages, emails, write things down in a journal.

I was so focused on myself i really locked into what i was doing and taking care of. I decided to explore celibacy + (no ejaculation) Cut out booze and drugs, and i reminded myself i need to reclaim my body. i need to make it healthy and i need to treat it with respect and love it before i get to the point where i can explore dating.

My ex met her before she met the kids. Went well. The kids met her in the afternoon at the pool. Later on we met up with the kids and brought her dog over. Within weeks they asked her to stay over for a movie night and everyone sleeps in the living room. Do it with good intention.

Take some serious time to lay out some values that you have. If the people dont tick half of the values, evaluate what you want out of a relationship with them and if they will complement you or create chaos for you.. Relationships of all sorts should energize you, not exhaust you.

Asking for permission is much different than asking for forgiveness. The last bit of your post sounds like shes taken advantage of your situation. You should call both. explore what options you have to protect yourself.. If you had suspicions in the past they wont go away in the future.
