I got married when I was 22. I don't say that it's your situation. But, I think that nobody under 30 has enough experience to take that decision.

This happened to me. Everybody used to tell me that it gonna improve. I couldn't believe it. I went to kill myself 3 times. When I started dating girls, everything changed. I can't believe how happy I'm now. I loved her madly, 20 years married, 24 together, my sweetheart since I was 17. All is bull sh***. You can get someone much better if you want. Believe me. If you stay there thinking about the past, you can't see the bright future.

It broke my heart when I learned that she was a liar and tried to manipulate me in any possible way. It was devastating when I saw her true color. Don't believe whatever she says, nor does. I've learned that my ex is the devil in an angels body.

I work out 6 days a week. If I don't want to, I go to the gym anyway and try to work at least one muscle. After 9 months, I'm very attractive and looking at the girls staring at me, It motivates me to go every day to work out. Also, looking girls younger and with much better body than my ex, it's encouraging.

In my case, for 6 years, I saw how my marriage was dying. I told my ex again and again that we have to look for therapy. She always denied that there was a problem and rejected the therapy, "our marriage is ok, it's just me" she used to say. One day, she came with the news. It wasn't a surprise to me.

What about the hundreds of body moisturizers, lotions, shampoos, etc, in our bathrooms. And wet knickers in the shower?

Breathing or chewing too loud. "Im sorry, darling 😔". That was me.

We move carefully. We don't want to be hurt again. He will give you his best once he's sure that won't be hurt again. Talk to him.

Getting married is awful everywhere. It's a mistake that every man has to make at least once in his life.

I know that reddit isn't the best help, but I'm a man, I don't want to go to a therapist to talk about my shit. I don't want to do anything. Anyway, thanks.

Thanks. I learned my lesson. I don't believe in forever and always anymore. Nobody can control the light switch effect.

I could have married an 8/10 but have chosen a 4 or 5 for the same reasons, stability, loyalty, and well educated. She left me after 23 years together and two kids. Now I'm gonna stay single until I find the 8 or 9 that I deserve.

No, I'm sure that she is ignoring my existence as she did in our marriage.

Me too, but I know that I'm not alone. There are brothers like you going through the same and fighting the same battle. We are together, and life is gonna be better. We don't have to let them ruin our lives. We are stronger together. 💪

Yes, I've been there. 23 years together, same word " you're my world, I love you but like a brother". You have to stop living your dream and face the truth. It's over. From now one you have to decide if you want to waste your time in something that never is going to happen or go ahead. If you take the reins, your life is gonna change. If not, she's gonna manipulate you again and again forever. That's not life.

That's right. I think that children are the main goal. Once wives get them, everything is over. I consider my ex like the most lazy person in a marriage. She's pathetic. God helps her. 🙏

Yep, I wanted to finish everything after covid, but once again, she manipulated me ("I love you, I'm gonna change"), and it cost 50k from my bank account. I was stupid, but I learned the lesson. Next time that she pleaded for a third chance, I said "enough is enough; you had two opportunities, the third is my freedom." It can sound great now, but having to say that broke my heart. Men are alway looking back with pain, and we see "our girls" like victims because they're manipulators, and they kno…

That happened to me. And I decided to stop it. She wouldn't play with me anymore. As you did.
/r/Divorce_Men11/02/24 09:03 PM

I think that it's a little bit naive to say that it was because of the Covid. 15 years? I bet that she stopped living you at least 5 years ago. But, you know, the same happened to me, the f*king answer "everything is ok" that they always give.

She's plying with you. Don't let her do that. You're the one who governs over you. You have to say that it's over forever and go on with your life.

I'm in the same situation. 41M quite handsome, 25 yo girls approaching me, no sex at all (9 months ago, I'd f@ck them all). I don't care, I know that I'm in the process of healing. That bitch ruined my life and I have to start over. At least I know that I'm worth in "the market" and girls desire me. I believe that everything is gonna be alright.

I've been there before. I've even thought about suicide. It's over. Don't waste your time. Run away. Everything is gonna be alright. I've been throughout hell for 6 months, but now I'm much better than when I was with her. She's toxic, she's consuming your happiness. She's killing you. Run run RUN!!!!, it doesn't matter how much it hurts you, you're gonna be 10000% better.

I'm 41, I got a prost (25 yo) 2 weeks after I broke up. I didn't enjoy it ( perfect body, she was a 9). Take your time. You don't own anything to anyone. You don't have to prove anything. Take your time.

I think that is related to their group of friend. If they are surrounded by single and divorced, they're prone to divorce. That happened to me. Tell me who your friends are, and I gonna tell you your future.

I applaud your comment. Totally agree. 23 years married, I spent the last 10 totally alone. I found out that now I'm still alone, but at least I don't have to see her mad face, bad mood, and be quiet while she is denigrating me. Thank God for my loneliness.

In 10 years, it's gonna be a hell. On the other hand, if that's the price to become a father, I will pay it again. My kids are the only reason to wake up every day and face this crazy world.

Me too. But I think that the first 7 years she loved me and then there were 15 years of shite.

I was there before. Don't take any drastic decisions. I promise that it gonna get better. You have to focus on yourself, get a job to pay the bills. Your life and goals have changed. Now, your main goal is to heal yourself.

If she really loves you, she would never force you to sign something that is highly disadvantageous for you. You don't need to marry to have kids. That's the old school.

It happened to me. I couldn't stay with a person in whom I don't thrust her anymore, and I'm always thinking she's gonna cheat on me. I needed peace of mind. It broke my heart forever.

Haha. Mine said "I can find someone better than you" and left me after 23 years. After 4 month she told me that she wants to try again. Nope, I'm sorry, go to find that one better than me. Bit*ch

As a former orthodox religious, I've seen this many times. It'd say that she found her real person. She won't change. It gonna get worse. Both of you have to find someone who matches your interest in life. Don't waste your time anymore.

Yes, I've met a woman whose husband was a heavy drinker. No violence at all, but she thought that 8 years of that was enough.
/r/Divorce_Men05/08/23 12:59 PM

I gonna tell you my thoughts. I was in your place, very religious, hard worker, according to my ex "excellent father and husband", but after 23y all that I got was an "I don't love you anymore". So, from now on, I'm a selfish person with no compromises, doing whatever I want. If the world wants the worst version of me, it's what it gonna get.

23 years together, 2 kids. 2 months since we broke up. At first, I was devastated trying to rebuild something. No effort on her side. I gave up 1 month ago since she said not feelings at all. I've been ignoring her last month, with no chats, calls, nothing. Today, she told me that she feels that we can be together again. I told her that I don't want to come back. I'm trying to focus on how my life was with her the last 3 years and not how it was when she loved me. Think about how you felt with h…

I want to say that It wasn't me who wrote this post. Although it is my life story, it wasn't me. My story ends up when my ex-wife left me after 20 years. I felt so stupid. She has never done anything for me, and I have always held on when I should have quitted 10 years ago. Don't waste your time and leave her as soon as possible. This kind of people are accustomed to taking everything and don't give anything in return, when they consider that you don't have anymore to give, they leave you.

My wife left me and told me that she knew that the divorce was her fault and that she hadn't been a good wife. Contrary to me that she said I had been the perfect husband and father. That didn't help me at all.

Big mistake. Sex is the way through women get things. She is gaslighting you. She's a toxic person. Use your mind. Don't use your heart. You're gonna regret any decision on her favor. I've been there before. Being good friends with my stbxw. You can never heal being her friend. I stopped that "friendly" relationship, and now I'm much better.

I was married 20 years. I cooked, washed clothes and dishes, did the groceries, cleaned the house, took care of our kids, and my wife was doing 20% of those chores. I was making 5 times more money than her. Then she left me because she felt imprisoned in our marriage and she didn't love me anymore. She wanted freedom and short-term fun. She said that I was an old school man who wanted to control her life and that she could find someone better. I was living in a beautiful house with my family, no…

My ex was a very beautiful face, but her body was a bag of potatoes. 20 years a had to deal with her body to get excited and have sex, never cheated on her. Then, suddenly, she started going to the gym, lost 20kg in 4 months, and left me. I was always a fitness guy, gym, slim but with muscles, same weight now 40yo than when I was 18yo, and handsome. I refused a lot of women during our marriage, although I wanted to sleep with all of them. Now, I think that I should have chosen the beautiful face…

Don't worry about the stepfather. A charter is always a charter, and no man can stay long-term with them. She doesn't know that she has just wasted her dream of a good partner forever. From now on, only assh**ls are gonna be with her. And you're girls sooner or later are gonna know the truth, and your wife is gonna have to face the music.

I kept it. Whenever I have doubts about a long-term relationship, I take it and read "forever and ever", They should add "until she wanted"

I was brought up in a traditional family where my parents hated one each other. It was insane. Now, I'm divorced, my sister divorced 3 times, and my brother has been married 10 years, no kids and hitting his wife. I don't think that it was beneficial at all.
/r/Divorce_Men27/06/23 06:03 PM

Whenever I miss my life with her, I focus on "how I felt with her", alone, every time judged, always being compared, garbage, not enough man, a npc, etc. I don't want to come back to those feelings. The person that I loved doesn't exist anymore. I used to sleep 8 hours and wake up tire, now I sleep 5 and I'm fresh.
/r/Divorce_Men21/06/23 09:20 AM

Totally agree. I tried it too hard, and It didn't work. Nobody can say that I didn't want to be a family guy. Women are totally insane. I'll never marry again. I'm fine alone. I don't need anyone in this f*king world.

The same. 20 days since she left me. 2 kids. Me 40 yo. 23 years together. I'm trying to focus on the future. Solve whatever I have to solve. You're not alone.

Attractive wife, very active sex, then came my first son, and everything changed.
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/23 09:03 AM

But apparently, you're the only sane person that your son has. You're his world. If you commit suicide, he will be alone. You can't do that. Hold on, in a few years, he's gonna live with you. That happened to me. When my son became 10, he said "I want to live with dad", nobody was able to change his mind.
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/23 08:26 PM

My sons are my everything. It's the only thing that I don't regret about my marriage. My ex is a very good mother, and I think that we are doing it well. I wouldn't have more kids, and of course, I wouldn't marry again. Women's hearts and minds are a Pandora's box, I'm fed up with having to deal with them. I'm not a f*ing psychologist.

It means that while men's hearts are full of love for them, in which we imagine our lives together forever, their hearts are full of secret where each of them ends up breaking up with us and f*kin other guy. Easy..
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/23 08:10 PM

You need a counselor. Don't deal alone. This happened to my best friend. Same situation, crazy wife, he left, and she started to talk sh*t about him to their daughters. As a result, his girls don't want to see him anymore. She is gonna tell them that you abandoned your kids because you don't care them anymore. It doesn't matter how much she harms your kids if she can harm you more.
/r/Divorce_Men17/06/23 03:40 PM

Welcome to the club. You're not alone. You're not the only one. Don't focus on what you feel about her. Focus on how she makes you feel. It's unfair for you. You're better than her, and she doesn't deserve you.
/r/Divorce_Men15/06/23 08:00 PM

I always say that "it seems that marriage is a mistake that everybody has to make"
/r/Divorce_Men12/06/23 09:21 PM

You didn't lose 10 years, you gained the rest of your life. Don't think of your feelings about her, think about how you feel because of being with her and how she makes you feel. And.. if she is doing nothing to keep you, why do you want to stay? You are your priority.

I would record a video next time. The amount that you're paying, include their clothes. There isn't such a thing as dad or mum clothes.
/r/Divorce_Men04/06/23 06:23 PM

I can't see your fault. The problem is that you are with a toxic person. You need to run away immediately. You sound like a very good naive guy, don't follow her craziness.
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/23 09:15 AM

Sorry, same story. Yesterday, my wife said exactly the same. Maybe she knows your wife. I'm devastated. 23 years married, 2 children. Apparently, sex and puppy love are more important than a whole life together. Life sucks.

I'm in the same place. My wife has just asked me for a divorce. I'm 40yo, we were together 23 years 2 kids 14 and 19. I'm devastated. I don't want a relationship to anyone anymore. I would rather be alone the rest of my life than have to go through this situation again.
