exactly , the amount of brain dead takes on this subreddit is actually crazy. I don’t think as many people are really using the “purple pill” way because they’re highly biased due to their own flawed experiences, therefore assigning them as facts. Their parents divorce = men are fundamentally not suited for long term relationships, a random redditor gets rejected by a woman = women are gold diggers and aren’t looking for anything serious. This kind of black and white thinking cannot be healthy.

im not a guy but if you don’t wanna make food for your partner then I don’t think you truly love him 💀 , what does a pay check has to do with anything? If you’re a stay at home mom and your husband brings the money - then thats a very realistic share of duties.

you’re making generalisations and projecting hard , men CAN contribute to the household by making money for example …however apparently thats too hard for you to think. You need to find healing and acceptance of whatever has happened to you and not be rotting on reddit, thats just sad.

u/Armal104 do you mean that the word “ misogyny “ means not being vulnerable? I don’t think thats an instance of a correct usage of the word because its definition is much different. What you’re giving as an example of the word is incorrect usage, therefore incorrect labelling. As to why there’s standards at all is because we are all different and have different values, we are attracted to different things. Let’s say majority of people want a conventionally / societally attractive partner, that’…

( I accidentally deleted my main comment so I’m reposting it ) @ OP you asked why vulnerability leads to being labelled misogynist and about the standards - check the reply under this comment please. if you do hear those words from your loved one - why are you dating her ? only to sleep with her? for her looks? her face? Maybe its time you rearrange your priorities. My boyfriend has been extremely emotionally open with me and ive never once stated he should go share his issues with someone else …

My boyfriend has been extremely emotionally open with me and ive never once stated he should go share his issues with someone else , but rather encouraged it. It really sounds like you don’t really evaluate or know your partners before actually dating them…they must be able to be your friend foremost. This is a horrible advice , …

I mean it pretty much depends on the other person’s standards in dating. And the only way to find out their standards is by asking them berforehand imo.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
