you are running a course for men who get zero results, while I am talking about men who actually have options and need to know what to do with them. You keep narrowing the scope to the guys who can't even get a foot in the door. I agree that those men need a different set of rules just to survive, but they aren't the only men who exist. By focusing exclusively on the zero-results demographic, you're prescribing a permanent state of performance that becomes a trap for anyone who actually manages …

Just to visualize the timeline: I only entered the conversation initially to correct your dating strategies by differentiating between optimizing for numbers and vetting for who you want to find. Then you replied to me, confusing vetting with adapting your game to specific groups of people, then I course corrected you that that's not what vetting means, and finally you replied saying that most guys have a completely different set of problems, like literally not getting dates period, with which I…

Being a bit richer, taller, or better looking doesn’t guarantee better outcomes in life Correct. And being a bit poorer, shorter, or uglier doesn't guarantee you die alone in a studio flat in Slough. you've discovered that water is wet and probability isn't destiny. You've just used the most tired rhetorical sleight of hand in the universe: intentionally confusing does not guarantee with does not correlate. A 195cm investment banker doesn't guarantee he pulls a Victoria's Secret model any more t…

I appreciate the elaboration, and I want to be clear: your advice is good. It's coherent, actionable, and will absolutely help a guy find a woman who shares his interests. No argument there. But you just described market segmentation, not vetting. You're still standing on the seller's side of the counter, optimizing the bait for the specific fish you want to catch. The shift I'm describing, the one you kinda keep dancing around, is when you stop applying for jobs and start posting the job listin…

some of it is just overall good general advice, like #1 and #6, but most of everything else is optimized for numbers and sample size, not attracting and vetting for your person, assuming you know what you're looking for. for example take #8, if I can't have a serious and deep conversation with a girl during a date I don't even want her. I know what you meant was for more serious conversations to come much later, but that's not a hard rule for me, I want to be able to be myself with her from day …

There's no such thing as using one specific strategy in dating. everything has to become part of who you are and that takes time. some things in your behavior you're born with, some you pick up from your environment growing up, some you learn over time and a few naturally click causing you to eventually internalize them over a very long period of time. the only active "strategy" I use when looking for a relationship (I hate the term dating, it's equivalent of people whoring around for me) is vet…

This is one of those very vague and general questions that's impossible to answer from a place of intellectual honesty because everyone interprets it differently. It really all depends on the relationship and the person you're with. I've only had 2 relationships in my entire life, my last one and my current one, since I'm a long term type of person, and I would rather be single than with my ex, just as I would rather be with my current girlfriend than single. But sure, during most dates I went t…

Yeah, it's all hypothetical anyway, life is more messy than that. In my last relationship I did 100% of the work and provided 100% of the income, in my current one last time I did the dishes was last year. It really depends from couple to couple.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 04:00 PM

It's about how you initially framed it as a problem. You make the reward for optimizing my career and providing a high-income lifestyle to become the full-time housekeeper. Doing 50% of the chores and paying 90% of the bills is asymmetrical and only leads to resent. I only agree with you if the financial contribution to the household is also 50 50 regardless of income, and I get to put my money away.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 03:43 PM

It's not about the workloads it's about the financial output. I worked my ass off to work less in my career, no way I'm compensating that with more household work.

they didn't respect you, your job had nothing to do with it. and the fact that you even ask this question gives all the wrong vibes and makes it make sense. your job is your way to support yourself, who gives a shit what anyone thinks about it, women or otherwise. I work remotely too, and it was never an issue.

Sociable but safe, vanilla, low sex appeal, and doesn't initiate / never takes any risks to flirt, escalate, and display intent. You're both your own worst nightmare, and the worst nightmare of any boyfriend or husband out there. No guy wants other men around his girlfriend, but you're very hard to shake off and make arguments against because you're "just that friend" who never makes a move. You're literally the guy women justify having male friends for, the very textbook definition. Nobody need…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/26 06:24 AM

It's a combination of biology and culture. If men didn't initiate, our species would go extinct. Apps just heavily emphasize this dynamic, but apps are not at all reflective of real life. Besides, I have a lot of advantages as a guy that I would not want to lose by being a woman, and for what? Being courted? I don't mind going for what I want.

You have a fetish with putting all women on a pedestal and try to make it seem like science. Women have way more matches on dating apps because of the sheer disproportionate amount of men vs women that exist in that environment, and the reason for that is that women don't need them, they can find partners off the apps by just existing, as long as they're not physically repulsive or actively try to not find anyone. For men, just existing doesn't work. You can be way above average looking and have…

pass, fuck that. if she's done oral she's not a virgin in my books. The only acceptable past I accept to consider someone for a LTR is either no sex of any kind, or sex with one person throughout one long relationship. two long relationships are also acceptable but in the age range I'm dating 20-25 it's usually rare for that to have happened. casual hookups or multiple short term relationships instantly disqualify anyone for me so the girl you're describing would not even be on my radar for anyt…

/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 11:56 AM

We value looks when we're either young and stupid or when we just want to sleep with someone. We value a low body count when we want to settle down.

and I said it doesn't. I know you're trying to make this about "someone's history only matters if he or she was abusive, a junkie or a murderer". body count and lifestyle choices do matter and you will get filtered out by most people with standards because of it

You'll irk a lot of people with this one. It's not even just using someone's past to guesstimate about their present and future, you're perfectly allowed to draw a line in the sand and vet based on history simply because you can and you want to.

you're getting lost in logic puzzles but you're mistaking a filter for a preference. For men attraction is a veeery wide angle lens while for women it’s a sniper scope. About the hypergamy semantic game, yes, you’re right, everyone wants the best. But men are "and" creatures. We want the 10/10, AND we'll happily, enthusiastically sleep with a cute 6/10. There's no settling angst there because our floor is low and our ceiling is non-existent. AF/BBis a workflow and not at all a contradiction.Hype…

First of all, no such thing as "healthy" boundaries, they're subjective by nature. Second, they're literally meant to disqualify everyone but your type of person. So when someone is rubbed the wrong way by them, those are just your boundaries working as intended. third, way too many people have either completely ridiculous or borderline illogical boundaries. everyone takes pride in being selective but a person can only vet as well as their intelligence allows them. generally, the louder the boun…

Woman do generally preform better in education but are payed less at work. Nuances like gender pay gap for the same jobs, less likely to be promoted to higher positions, taking on child rearing so less likely to develop careers. Men who have families are more likely to get promoted or treated better at work. Of course this had to degrade into political nonsense. Why is this thread even allowed here? You're looking at a crowded showroom and thinking every visitor is a serious buyer with a down payment, when in reality most of them are just there for the free coffee and a test drive. Dating is more of a lease agreement than a car market. Sure, you can list a 2005 Toyota and get a thousand calls but those guys aren't buying the car to keep in the family garage for the next twenty years. They are treating it like a short-term rental because the cost of entry (a couple dates and some game) is at…

pushing boundaries is all about calibrating and finding out what she's comfortable and not comfortable with, basically always doing as much as you can get away with and playing it at that fine line. that's how you adjust the volume knob to either more or less. this is only until you get to know the other person and can then stabilize to a certain point and keep it steady. it's the word boundary that seems to have tripped people but in dating it's most often about pushing your own boundaries rega…

pressuring != pushing boundaries. A guy has to constantly push boundaries by nature, because it mainly falls on us to progress the dynamic forward. But that's totally different from pressuring which is very close to manipulating someone and a whole bunch of other shady stuff that have nothing to do with pushing boundaries.

There's like a minority of around 5% of people that are very into politics, typically socially left-wing (finances stance differs), but they're so "loud" about it that you don't need to read too much into it, they will let you know very quickly either in their dating app bio or during the first date. If someone doesn't have anything related to politics in their bio or doesn't talk about it quickly, you can safely assume they don't care, and that will happen in most cases. As far as general polit…

Some things I like, some things I don't, some things I would build more on top of. It would have strict filters for age, religion, race, has children, wants children, food preferences, alcohol preferences, smoking, and distance. Educated? It's just a baseless assumption used to deflect which most people do here - "people who don't like X are probably Y anyways" is a ridiculous stance. This is an open online forum that is free from typical backlash, it is much easier to give an opinion that is unrelated to you and then go back to your positive life, literally what everyone claims to do here. It's an educated guess, which is the best anyone can provide. Why would a guy hate a single mom? And what does that say about him and his dating market value? A guy that lives a happy fulfilling life doesn't worry about that shit.

It has nothing to do with who you target, because you can target anyone. but it's all about how whoever you target responds to you, yes. However that's a different statement from the one you've made in the title of your post
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 05:52 PM

You're confusing preference with market value. Preferences can differ greatly within the same market value pool. My value in dating as a guy is dictated by the top 10% of girls I attract that want a long term relationship with me, and within those boundaries I choose the one who fits my type the most.

People that hated single moms never did much dating in the first place. Because, let's be honest, as long as the mom's hot and/or very likable, she's getting a man. Well, this is a completely different topic that you tried to slip by that has nothing to do with the title of your post. She might get a man, that doesn't say much about anything. Listening to people on the internet is crazy, because it's obvious based on how they speak that they have little to no experience. can work during a first date but only when you date someone super high interest. it's not really a way to build attraction, but rather to confirm value. still cheeks though, rubs me the wrong way I don't know why. I understand it only if it comes from a place of being genuine, like that's just something someone does and who he is. but if they do it after "reading about it on the internet", I can't imagine anything being more lame lol

it seems like a high risk strategy to you because you think about it cold hearted from your living room with noone in mind. in order to judge it at face value you need to consider it when it comes from a guy you're really into, after seeing him for couple months, when the intensity, infatuation and investment build up is already there. will it always work? def not, but nothing does. anyway, I don't do negging I think it's lame as cheeks. this is a huge oversimplification that overlooks the fact that the most selectable men are usually the ones with the most aggressive filters. being chosen is only step one. The actual challenge begins after youve been chosen, when you have to decide which of those "selectors" actually meets your own standards. if you aren't filtering just as ruthlessly as you are being filtered you aren't even playing the same game, you're literally just equipment leaving the final say to the other person is for…

you do have a point, your filters are certainly not useless, or absurd. I'm just saying that the layer at which you vet is closer to the surface and real-time, while men's filters can't be influenced by behavior in the present moment, we look at how the person sitting next to us arrived to that point in time and space. that can't be changed during a date, it all lives in the past, hence why I said you should feel no pressure.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 06:39 AM

Think of it like prepping a fight. I don't need to know your life story to see your footwork is cheeks. My filters are binary, mental state and nerves don't change data, the specs stay the same. If the facts don't align with what I'm looking for, she gets filtered out. We rarely filter based on how the other person makes us feel in the moment, or based on what happened during the date, we vet who she is, history and lifestyle.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 06:24 AM

exactly, he's projecting his own life experience so much when he's saying that "normal" guys go into the date focused on being liked. going into any first date I only have once concern, attach one of two labels on her forehead: "hit n quit" or "I wanna find out more", either one completely changing how I approach things moving forward. if you go into the first date wanting to be liked by the other person, you're either desperate and have no standards, or you just wanna get laid
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 06:13 AM
-7

well yeah but us not liking you is much more often about who you are and what you represent as a person, we reject you, not however you acted or made us feel during the date. so there's nothing you can do to not mess it up, you're either what the guy is looking for or you aren't

Correct, but this only applies after you've already been introduced. Applying the same rule to approaching is just shooting yourself in the foot, because most high-interest girls will not act highly interested when they see you in a supermarket. The reality is that being a "good girl" isn't a currency you exchange for a committed boyfriend. If you're getting ghosted and played consistently it's usually a sign of two things that have nothing to do with your celibacy. You're not vetting properly. For a dynamic to actually thrive, there needs to be a level of respect for a man's strength and determination (which of course needs to be deserved). If she doesn't see me as the guy who is capable of making the tough calls, she's not it. Equity is for business partners, relationships need some sort of polarity. Your AI buddy can call it "asymmetrical" all it wants, but I've never seen a 50/50…

Never knew this is a popular preference. As far as my LTR model is concerned, I usually delegate most of the decisions to her if she wants to, but I only get into relationships where I have veto power over the 1% of stuff that actually interests me. With my ex, everyone even my family and close friends thought she's the "boss" in our relationship and was always blamed especially by my mom that I just do what she says. That was because she always made a lot of the decisions, like whose parents we…

Men often can't articulate why they don't like the apps, or why they're not seeing results. I'll tell you why. Online dating sucks for most men because it requires presentational skills. Skills most people in general don't have, but towards which girls are often naturally more exposed to throughout life than men, so they have more experience. Unlike most women, you can't just sign up for an app and see results, you need to know photography, posing, staying consistent in the gym for at least a co…

Bro's still living in early 2010s with third wave feminism for women, and RSD as red pill pioneers for men. Dating coaches of both genders post pandemic teach the same thing now: multidate, stay detached, let the other person chase, you're the prize and don't need anyone. You need a software update. Boring as fuck but it is what it is. Not to mention that we have to make the important distinction from the internet and real life. All the "gender wars" completely disappear the moment you close you…

You described a sociopath who can waffle vs a sentient sack of recycled granola who thinks having zero ambition and still wearing his clothes from college is a personality. The fuck does this have to do with good vs bad? And what is "good" at dating? Do you mean who gives himself better chances to find his person? Or who can sleep with more women in a defined timespan? And does the quality of said women matter? You need to provide a definition otherwise we have no scale.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 08:00 PM

Your whole argument rests on the idea that sex is a transaction where women are the sellers and men are the buyers. It's the same tired caricature I see daily from you, that women don't actually like sex (they just use it to get a boyfriend), and men are just dopamine chasing chumps. Come up with the new script this one's been beaten to death, everyone's bored of it I swear Not to mention that ironically, the guys screaming the loudest about sex are usually the ones who barely get any. Anywy, to answer your question, the good vs evil binary exists because nuance doesnt get you places on the internet. Do you actually have a point to make?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 02:55 PM

If you're given 1000 chances to find one decent person and you're still coming up empty-handed the issue is on your end. Because even if by reductio ad absurdum your 99% stat is correct, that still leaves 10 men you miss vetted at some point during the process.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 09:25 AM

I think we're ships passing in the night here. I'm not saying a bio is a deep dive into someone's soul, but it's a filter. If a company has 1000 resumes, they're going to find a better hire than a company with 5, even if they both only interview 3 people in person. The whole benefit of a massive pool is that you can be ruthlessly picky so that the few you do meet have a much higher floor of quality.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 09:15 AM

That scenario definitely happens, it just slips by unmentioned most of the time because it's rare and often a result of really bad pics, incomplete bios, or often, bluntly put, being very unattractive. Like, I setup a Bumble account for my mom at her request one evening and she got couple hundreds matches by morning, and she's in her 50s, lol. The bar is super low.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 09:10 AM

Vetting starts with their profiles, that's the first layer, second being the first couple texts. Point is the "few" you get to are going to be much closer to what you're looking for when you get there by filtering through thousands compared to if you filtered through dozens.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 09:04 AM

Well yeah, I would hope that going on hundreds of dates, even in a lifetime, is not something we'll ever normalize. That's why you vet to a select few.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/26 08:38 AM

The average girl who signs up on Tinder gets 1k matches in the first 24 hours. While I admire your resilience and clean sheet, would you say that if you go over a couple thousand men and don't find a single one to not categorize as either too pushy, dishonest or unattractive, that maybe you were unconsciously not there intently, to actually find someone? I hope nobody thinks I'm walking a line here for suggesting that just maybe you were part of the "problem" as well. Because yeah, I agree, apps…

This post has some major "I just discovered I can get laid and now it's my entire personality" energy. Tell me sex is a scarce resource for you without telling me sex is a scarce resource for you. If boyfriend responsibilities feel like a chore, you're either dating people you don't actually like or you're just a bad teammate. I lived in Denmark for 2.5 years with one of my exes who was Danish, in Aarhus. I wouldn't say Northern Europe is that different in terms of dating compared to Eastern Europe where I'm originally from, traditional values are still very present, the only thing is the slightly higher percentage of "different"/cosmopolitan that you come across, especially among women, so if you have more conservative values like I do, you have to do a tiny bit more filtering, but men are very, very similar. Now imagine your issues, all on top of a foundation of only getting like 2 matches per month. In a world where a lot of matches lead nowhere, the average joe is never finding his person on the apps. That's one of the biggest problems with them. Then there's also the selection bias issue. Most women are in a position where if they really truly want a relationship, they are so spoiled for choice that they can and will be out of the apps very quickly. Same applies to the "top" men. And who does tha…

Yeah you're right. Feel like the problem is that some people's engagement traps have long become most people's realities. If you don't go out to live it, and all you do is learn about it from the internet, your perception is going to be skewed as hell. I've been checking girls out in all sorts of ways, and I was never told off. Even when they're not into me, or they have a boyfriend, and I walk up, girls typically go to extreme lengths to make sure they don't hurt my feelings. They soften the rejection so well that I sometimes can't even tell whether or not I've been rejected until after the fact. Same with checking them out in the gym for example, if I look twice and she hasn't looked back, I don't ever look again, and this does happen a lot,…

To be fair to him, I think it's more about who is looking than how he's looking at them. its generally not men here we go again how do you even know? and even if you had some remotely accurate statistics to back up your claim, who does it help that 46.5% more women use sex as a reward than men? and whose fault is it? the person using it as a reward, or the person that allows it to be used as a reward? these general, philosophical, abstract questions help absolutely nobody. every couple has a different dynamic.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 01:10 PM

ah, again generalizing dating are we? It's never been used as a reward in my relationship. The only frame it had was her being frustrated that we don't do it enough. when will you learn it's never "men" or "women", it's people, it's individuals, and these situations can only be quantified on a case by case basis not society wide.

I'm not attacking the concept of walking. I'm calling out your framing. You started this by suggesting that if someone's not "exploring" or "trying new food" like a tourist, they're somehow losing at life or rotting their brains. Nice try though.

Imagine pathologizing a picnic as a medical requirement to avoid dementia. If you need a field of flowers to keep your mind nimble, that's a skill issue. I perform activities that require more neuroplasticity, reflexes, and real-time problem-solving in one round than a decade of looking at waterfalls. I'm not adverse to new things, I'm just bored by performative wandering. It's funny that you've framed being a high-maintenance tourist as a personality trait, but hey, if staring at a mountain is …

Selection bias. Most girls on the apps are more cosmopolitan and outdoorsy. you're not gonna catholic girls who go shopping with their moms on the apps, or the girl who was the weirdo in her highschool class with perfect grades who stays in and watches anime or kdramas all day.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/26 09:04 AM

Needing to change your physical location for mental stimulation because you're allergic to staying in isn't the flex you think it is chief. I'm in the gym or the ring daily, that's more stimulation in an hour than you get in a month of "going out for fun". I don't look down on people who hike, you made that up, I just find it funny that you've rigged the definition of fun to going out.

you did the same thing in another reply that I already answered. you keep framing fun and going out together, virtually boycotting any answers you could get from a large part of the population that doesn't think going out in itself is fun.

Oh yeah. hit em with the classic loaded question trap, curious if anyone will bite. In my experience there's three categories of men who identify as red pill: (usually) introverted young men after a breakup, bad friendzone or some degree of romantic disappointment which they eventually grow out of, unattractive grown men, and sociopaths. What's keeping the red pill alive? Since we're liberal on putting our opinions out there. I think your "wisdom" is essentially coping with the scarcity, optimizing the reject pile because you need the volume. You think excluding X is unwise, I think betting on "she'll be different with me" is unwise. That's exactly why standards don't get debated into consensus. There is no contradiction. You are confusing people behaving a certain way with a statement being false. "Sex is necessary but insufficient" describes what sustains a relationship. This reads like a lot of fog for a very simple point. Invoking "patriarchy" here just turns men's sexuality into a political abstraction instead of something people actually experience and act on. Men's sexuality being complex and varied is obvious. I hope nobody serious disputes that. What people are reacting to is the recurring, statistically visible patterns that keep showing up across cultures and time. Hand-waving those away as "the loud acceptable face" dodges the question instead of engag…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 04:51 PM

Calling it "antisocial" feels like you're miscategorizing it. Antisocial means hostile to social bonds. Male sexuality like you've described it just shows fiction with monogamy and long-term ideals.. Desire patterns existing in your head do zero social damage by themselves. What matters is behavior. Plenty of men experience attraction, feel sexual urges, but still choose commitment and restraint because societies literally run on impulse control. If raw desire equaled action, civilization would …

If someone can't afford to vet and screen better because they run out of options, that's a problem of the individual in question, not of it as a framework.

You usually have such chaotic takes that leave me scratching my head after the first paragraph lol. Nothing but facts here, I don't understand what anyone can even disagree with from this post. Being everything red is not, is a stance in itself. Most blue pillers I see around here have very white knighty takes, and some are borderline misandrists. Personally, I tend to agree with the average red way more often than I do with the average blue, but the best posts I've ever seen that are in line with my own views and experiences generally came from blues as well.

Have any of you guys had experiences where you strung a woman along for comfort I mean, I'm doing that right now. Looking for my last partner / future wife, but the road there would be much more painful if I didn't make some pit stops along the way. That's how I started, actually. I would push all these girls away because they weren't "the one" so quick. This whole debate feels way too abstract. People are arguing about which gender is more "accepting" like dating is a collective moral project. It isn’t, it's just two people checking whether their preferences line up. Like, you don’t need society wide acceptance. You need one person. In an ideal world, you pick once and you’re done. After that, all these grand gender debates instantly become irrelevant. These references are filters, not indictments. You screen, they screen, most people don’t mat…

This feels like you are arguing with a very specific guy you dated and then extrapolating him into "men". Most of what you describe applies to a narrow slice of dudes who are either: chronically online and socially off. or very attractive and avoidant. Those guys get recycled through the same dating pool, so they feel common. You made so many points in a single thread but let's take them one by one. First of all, I wouldn't date a promiscuous girl. On the contrary, my LTR type is more prude in nature. Second, delayed sex is actually a green flag as long as it's not something she only did with me. Tells me sex is very intimate for her and only something she does in long term relationships. Which means she kept the hounds away.

Do you have the same beliefs as all men? You never met another guy you disagreed with on anything? This is just about something you've noticed most, or a lot of men men oversell in dating, that you don't agree with. Bruv.

This feels like a convenient reframing. Nobody is saying interest only exists if sex happens immediately, but that high interest is almost always accompanied by sexual desire. So if there's no sex, it likely means there's also no interest. I don't care about the sex itself, I can get it anytime, I only care about what it means. When a girl tells me to come upstairs, I don't think "finally bro, it time", but "okay, so she's mine if I want to". I can read social cues just fine. The problem is that…

I very rarely date past 26, but it has less to do with looks and more to do with the resume. Past that age, I'm much more likely to bump into women that are bringing baggage. Every piece has a story, a previous owner, and a taste I had no say in. I'm looking for a more blank canvas. What are you expected to do about it? No idea.

It does sound like shit. Because it is shit. But that's how it works. Early dating is instinct, vibe. It's pretty much all signal. When hormones are high, most people aren't logical, they're chasing a feeling. And that feeling is strongest when they're the one reaching for someone juuust out of grasp. You're not wrong for hating how it sounds like. I hate it, that's why I make sure to play for the other team in the pitch lol. But you're naive if you think people don't choose it every single day.…

I disagree. Girls just want a man to look up to, someone at least slightly out of her league. When she's in scarcity, when she's so into you that she's paranoid of losing you, you can do no wrong. And this is only valid short term, when dating and early into a relationship, the first year or two tops, because after that it doesn't matter anyway, the "balance of power" evens out when you become a team. At that point the fuel of the relationship changes into other, deeper things. As a guy, if you …

I literally just told you I screen for high interest women and walk away the second something feels off. That's the opposite of sitting around torturing myself over what my girlfriend did with her exes. You read "I pay attention to signals" and conveniently turned it into "I'm obsessed with my girlfriend's sexual history" because standards leave no room for debate, while insecurity is a low hanging fruit. Nice try.

Never said she sits down and fills out a form about it. The point is the behavior itself speaks for itself. You don't need someone to consciously decide to jump off a cliff to conclude they jumped off a cliff.

Bro wrote a whole essay trying to solve a problem that disappears the moment you have standards. If you're sitting there wondering why she's not as sexually aggressive with you as she was with her ex or someone she dated in the past, the answer is pretty simple: you're not exciting to her. That's information. Use it. The "but the other guy got it on night one" thing is a screening tool. High interest women make it obvious they're into you. You can feel it. I actually agree with a lot of the issues you’re pointing out but I disagree on the why. In my experience, all of this happens because most women take better care of themselves than most men. Genetics play a big role in how attractive you are, yes, but anyone can up their score by a lot by getting jacked or at least fit, having a good style (clothing, hair, beard), skin care, maybe even fixing minor issues with plastic surgery if you wanna go that far. Most new gen red pillers I've seen teach mental masturbation. The blind leading the blind. I only trust the old RSD crew, attended a bootcamp a couple of their instructors held in Bucharest more than a decade ago when I was in college and I've seen them game in the field, they were the real deal.

You're right, that was my experience as well. But I forgot mentioning being heavy into travelling, which combined with having male friends cuts my options in half or less almost instantly even after already preselecting who I match. I wish they understood how backwards the filtering process feels from the guys side. I can’t openly screen for what I’m actually looking for at the start, because being direct kills attraction fast. So the process becomes: flirt, banter, invest energy, build interest, create vibe… all before I even know whether we’re compatible on the things that actually matter to me. I kinda get what you are describing, but that is basically a preference for organic social environments rather than something dating apps could realistically fix. Seeing someone in a group setting works great if people share social circles, go out often, and naturally run into each other through friends. A huge chunk of people do not live like that. They work, do groceries, go home. So you would never even have the chance to meet them in public, because they simply don't exist there, they're not…

One thing I would change immediately is showing how long someone has been on the app. I just want to opt out of the girls who are serial daters that turned swiping and going on dates into a lifestyle. Let me filter for new users because they're much more likely to only be there to find their person and leave. Apps already track it, but they hide it like it's radioactive. From a business perspective, it directly threatens the engagement loop. That is probably why it will never ship.

Why do women think that men care so much about sex in a relationship? I don't know a single guy for whom sex is not a chore 5 years into a relationship. You get so bored of fucking her and have to keep playing pretend just so she doesn't think your sex life is fucked and that you don't love her anymore. Sex is fun the first few months and tolerable a couple years after that. From that point its a house chore. Of course we care about companionship, otherwise we wouldn't stay past that point.

I don't need sex from the girls I date, hell they often care more about it than me. I don't remember the last time I initiated anything sexually. Social discussions anywhere operate on inductive reasoning, not Popperian falsification tests. Dating apps are self selecting because entry is voluntary, incentives differ from offline dating, and attrition is asymmetric. People who pair off quit. People who enjoy novelty and validation stay. That alone skews the sample over time. This is literally a selection bias, I'm not coming up with conspiracy theories. You're talking about access. The issue is outcomes and incentives. Women's baseline social value is now decoupled from performance, while men's is not only still tightly coupled, they need to overperform more than ever. That creates easier dating for women and harsher filtering for men on average. And my biggest problem with the mainstream outside the manosphere is that it tries to sell it as equality. It's not oppression, but it's definitely not symmetry.

Your take is technically clever but practically useless. If you remove discrimination from dating, you remove dating. Attraction does not give a shit about your moral taxonomy. People aren't attracted to choices, they're attracted to bodies, behaviors, signals, vibes, histories, patterns. Some of those are mutable, some are not, some are partially mutable, some are socially constructed, some are biologically anchored. Trying to draw a clean ethical line here is cope. Dating isn't activism or vir…

If I can place someone's nationality on a map and their social media bio by the first line of their post, I tend to stay away, but here goes. The answer is neither. An open relationship is just a close friendship where sex is on the table. Cheating is just playing pretend in the daytime to go save Gotham during nighttime. There's nothing "relationship" like about either of them. A relationship ends the moment a partner cheats, emotionally, openly or otherwise, what follows is a caricature of it.…

You're describing less how dating looks like, and more how dating the wrong person looks like. I just show up and the wooing happens automatically. If me simply being there doesn't make everything and everyone else irrelevant, I don't even want it. My dating pool is not made of the girls I'm into, it's made of those that are into me. If I don't get clear intent and consistency by the second or third date the latest, she's not even on my radar. Dating is easy as fuck. If it isn't, you're dating t…

I never argued for obsession or thinking about other men. You're fighting ghosts.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/26 12:47 PM

The thing is that you are arguing with a caricature and not my position. Most women don't go around fucking random men in the name of "finding themselves" I never said this. You're trying to turn a compatibility filter into a moral indictment because admitting it is just preference would end the argument immediately. These are not normal because they're statistically not the norm. Calling something statistically uncommon, which you have yet to prove anywhere by the way, does not make discomfort …
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/26 12:30 PM

This post keeps doing a neat little sleight of hand: you start by criticizing people for building beliefs off imagined scenarios, then quietly replace them one by one with your own imagined baseline of what is "normal". Calling certain thoughts "not normal" because you personally dont experience them is just self-soothing and not an actual argument. Choosing not to think about your partners sexual past is fine. It's your choice and nobody else's business. Declaring that anyone who does is "funda…

Most male-female friendships Stopped reading there because such thing doesn't exist.

You stacked the deck to lazy, selfish, mediocre men wanting unconditional love because that's the easiest villain to beat. Plenty of men are disciplined, improving, socially calibrated, emotionally available, and most live in the massive and very uncomfortable for your argument, in-between. Unconditional love exists. I've lived it, and I'll live it again. When it's real it doesn't feel hard or earned, it really just happens.

And it's pretty black or white thinking to assume that the only alternative is to pretend you care about cooking just to meet someone. Ah, it was just a way of putting it, I had a look at your listed suggestions, and other than dance classes (think street/club/breakdance, definitely not salsa, bachata), and boxing/martial arts, every single cell in my body was like "fuck no" at each and one of them haha. They're simply not places I would ever go to without a specific goal in mind. I have no main…

Apps are much more convenient to me personally, I get dates without putting in a lot of effort and I don't have to join a cooking class just to pretend I care about it so I can hopefully meet someone.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
