There are so many places where the locals won’t even allow such a clinic to open. Move Your platform seems to be that women have to live with their mistake. Hope you have the same energy for men with child support payments. Morally, yes. Legally, if you have an opt out plan I don't see why it should be legally or civilly wrong for men to have one.

It's still less control in your hands as a man, maybe a lot of men don't want that. I've got my own money, why would I need someone with an equivalent amount to me when I'm still going to be paying for most things anyways, regardless of the woman's income?

So you're one of those. "I suffer in silence due to some stupid misplaced pride, therefore everyone else should do the same." More "I'm not entitled to other people making my problem their problem and it would be selfish to do so and I would be disgusted with myself if I did so" You feel entitled to understanding and effort from others, and that is selfish. A diagnosis of BPD says nothing about whether the person uses their disorder as an excuse for their behavior. Making up excuses for shitty b…

Then make the guy wear a condom and don't sleep with him if he won't. Or date a guy with a vasectomy. You aren't as helpless as you want to make yourself out to be.

You have a right to medical privacy, Hipaa guarantees you that. In the vast majority of cases, abortion is not medically necessary, it's elective. Plenty of elective procedures are banned in states. I care more about states voting on Abortion and people being able to say what they want via direct initiative than I care about abortion becoming illegal or not. In the US, women will always be able to travel to another state to get it done.

People with higher education usually have higher standards, better impulse control, and better reasoning skills. Those are traits that prevent ones from falling into a deep hole of casual sex. Higher educated women also file for divorce 90% of the time, so that's a logical reason men don't pursue them. This means dating pools for highly educated girls are smaller compared to the rest making them less likely to sleep around. You're naive if you think dating is required to hook up with someone.

You seem to think a fetus is a person who should be entitled to rights No, I just think that that's a choice that should be left up to voters via direct ballot initiatives. which we’re going to fundamentally disagree about anyway so I’m not sure this conversation is going anywhere. You're hell-bent on absolving women of responsibility is more the issue. And I think abortion needs to be a decision between a person and their doctor And it will be in half the states after Roe is repealed. It's not a medical necessity in most cases. Most aborted fetuses could be carried to term without major medical ramifications for the child or mother. If carrying to term isn't going to cause major medical issues (morning sickness doesn't count), then the procedure is elective. So far your entire argument hinges on the notion that people have other options they s…

That's why people are on r/BPD seeking support, right? Because they aren't trying? Many of those are just bemoaning other people don't understand them. Total entitlement on their part. Yeah, so did I (well, still in my early twenties and still in therapy). It's not a magic cure-all. It's never going to make me able to function in the way a neurotypical person would. Did it help to function in a way where you aren't violating the law and people's boundaries? That's literally all I'm asking for. T…

People being stupid is not a great reason to deny them medical options. Repealing Roe V. Wade doesn't deny them medical options, it transfers the decision to the state. Also, abortion is rarely medically necessary. I think we should treat someone with lung cancer, even if they did smoke for 50 years. Who is affected other than the smoker with this though. A fetus is getting deleted with abortion, so it's disingenuous to say the mother is the only person affected by that choice. Also, you can be …

Is stupidity the main one? A kid is a serious time and emotional investment. That's not disincentive enough to walk through your program with your doctor intently so you don't fuck up?

That's why smart people compound them. Not necessarily compound women's birth control, I'm sure most doctors would object to that without testing. But even if you're on birth control, make the guy wear a condom too. Simple. If he won't, don't have sex with him. Getting pregnant the vast majority of the time is 100% preventable if you make smart decisions.

I'm addressing your "so many alternatives ". A lot of the alternatives are not going to be available. The daily pill, condoms, and depo shots will still be available. How are condoms more of a time and money sink than abortion in your mind. Why are you changing the subject. So people with BPD who have jobs, aren't violent, and don't have criminal records wouldn't be subject to this registry, right? All of them are violent to somebody. It's just a matter of time. Hardcore anti-abortion Christians consider preventing a fertilized egg from nesting in the uterine line to be abortion. Then gather enough votes to shoot down pro-life candidates and ballot initiatives. If you value it so much, speak with your vote when it comes up in your state.

You CAN'T overcome all your symptoms through sheer force of will. That's not how mental illness works. They don't try to, and if you cannot control your emotions, you need a padded room. Mental illness alters the structure of the brain and the balance of neurotransmitters. Deal with it before your mid-twenties and you have ample time to carve out new neural pathways before your brain solidifies. I got therapy in my early twenties. Yes, so if you take it within 24 hours of the assault, your chances of preventing a pregnancy are pretty damn high. Also, women who are raped are the tiniest segment of women who seek abortions. You have a billion preventative measures is my point, and abortion isn't cheaper than condoms.

Honestly, with the billion and a half options of contraceptives out there, is abortion actually necessary? Even in cases of rape you can get state-funded plan B.

You realize that mental illness isn't something people can turn on and off at will, right? What does that have to do with behavior? You're still in full control of that. If you have BPD, you have to control your emotions more than most people. Suck it up. but you wouldn't tell a person with multiple sclerosis "how could you choose to be such an inconvenience?" it’s wrong to avoid people just because of a mental disorder. Even if associating with them could cost you a finger and your livelihood? False rape and abuse allegations are very uncommon. black men have contributed to 60% of the dysfunction in our community. How exactly did you get that figure? It sounds like you are equal participants. why the fuck is he berating women about how they’ll never be married and die alone? Because they are refusing to listen to the advice he is giving them. Many of them are on a course where they couldn't get a husband, and they are getting older and acting the same way and still think they can get a husband. It's the logical conclusion that they will die alone the vast majority of the time. It's usually not just age but also attitude as well, and they don't want to change belligerent attitudes and…

So once they falsely accuse someone of rape and then get convicted of the false accusation Kind of hard to do that when literally every single DA office refuses to charge false accusations. Heard and women like her will never face legal consequences. Think of BPD as HIV for the soul. We track people with HIV because of the public health risk of that disease. BPD is like that for people's mental health.

Better to just teach men to establish, and enforce healthy boundaries. If you have BPD get the fuck away from me immediately. That sounds like a healthy one. Saying you can have healthy boundaries with a BPD is like saying you can balance a knife on your eye during an earthquake. Much better than demonizing, and avoiding people born into bad lives. They choose those bad lives with their actions.

You and Kevin are hypocrites. His entire platform was dedicated to black men and women while helping them with their “image” to find a high value partner. That is false. A “High Value Man” should have no problem finding a spouse. I was talking about black women. Look it up yourself: https://www.census.gov/content/dam/Census/library/publications/2021/demo/p70-167.pdf Okay, he got divorced, so fucking what. Those are synonyms. I wouldn't spank my wife, I'd just walk out and call the cops if she kept coming (and get commensurately physical to how physical she gets) the point that Samuels was making is to stop violating your husband's boundaries. He didn't say smack women if you've had a rough day, he was saying that if your wife violates your boundaries, give her a reason not to because respect obviously isn't enough to keep her from doing it.

So? Why should we care about your selfish desires, especially and specifically when they conflict with ours? Why would you be in a relationship with me if my desires don't matter at all to you? That's abusive. Why should we prioritize you above ourselves ? That's what partners do, or are you in perpetually fucked up relationships? You think I love flea markets and brunch? That shit is me giving up time for a relationship because she appreciates that. If you think that should just be a one way st…

Is that a bad thing? I guarantee there are some things you wish you could get your partner to do on demand, right? But, that's not reality, we understand that isn't reality. You guys have day jobs, you're not interested at times etc. We aren't going to leave a relationship because you aren't always interested in sex. If it's never, that's a different story. But just because we want sex on demand doesn't mean we expect it.

This is why I call most women myopic, because most women genuinely believe men get pussy on command when that applies to maybe 10% of men. We aren't entitled to sex, but acknowledgement of reality would be nice. My disagreement is, I don't think they know they do that, it's just subconscious. You're assigning conscious thought to how women view men when it really doesn't exist. They see the men they go after getting pussy whenever they please (part of the reason they find the man attractive in m…

Most women want their men to improve our emotional and relationship skills. Not our job to fix you. You can't fix a woman's emotional skills, she's the only one that can do that. problem-solves instead of listens and empathizes, uses her as a therapist This is literally "rules for ye and not for thee" you want us emotionally open and to listen to you always, but we don't get that in return or we treat you like a "therapist". Well I too would appreciate if men would stop with the benevolent sexism Then react as negatively to that as a group as you would hostile sexism. Hugh's got girls throwing accusations at him now trying to get clout though. Kind of the side effect of all that partying is women are going to tarnish your name (after you die, so you can't defend yourself) for attention. I'm sure after Gene goes there'll be a million stories too. But I get what you are saying. From my perspective, eventually the novelty of women wears off. What then? Yes, it's a minority of men because the minority of households are single parent households. Then we get back to my original point, take up your complaint with that minority of men because the rest of us aren't trifling. At most it's 27%. You wanted to blame men for the existence of single mother households, and I showed you it isn't something most of us do. Simple as that.

It's more pronounced with educated women, but as the article says, the trend of wanting men to earn more applies to non-college educated women as well. And there’s a sort of benevolent sexism used by women where we ask questions and let a man explain the whole complicated world to us. Personally I'd appreciate women not doing that. The whole thing in schooling at the moment is boys falling behind because of teaching styles and how we approach education. Do you believe boys are just dumber than girls? That its special treatment to reform education so they can get the most out of it? I think how you treat and teach children and how you treat and teach adults in their mid twenties and older are two different things.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 11:54 PM

Maybe try a different communication or teaching method. That's my point, you take longer to teach and require special treatment to get to a bare level of success. Is that sexist, yes. Does it stop me from hating you and pulling my hair out due to frustration, also yes.

Depends how we define heavy. Women need help at 40 pounds, men need help at around 70 or 80 if its oblong.

Stereotype threat is a phenomenon that occurs when there is the opportunity or perceived opportunity for an individual to satisfy or confirm a negative stereotype of a group of which she is a member. The threat of possibly satisfying or confirming the stereotype can interfere with the subject’s performance in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to academic performance. Sounds cowardly

And what if it's something that can't be solved? Then it would be selfish to put that burden of solving the problem on somebody else, wouldn't it? You're telling me you're never upset over anything more complex than, idk, a broken phone that you can just take to the repair shop? I get upset, that doesn't mean I go to other men to help with it. If I can't fix it, I can't expect others to fix it for me. Also, still curious whether you would help an old man lift something or take the time to explai…

I’m not having a child with a man who hasn’t proven his worth as a father. Good. Most men on Reddit are overly concerned with the ability to sign away their rights and have unprotected sex. Ha ha what? Women don’t have to demonstrate their worthiness as mothers. If you want a kid, yes you do. I'm not having my kid have an unfit mother who has a personality disorder or something like that. That's insane that you think you shouldn't have to prove you can be loving and caring and best for a child's development before becoming a mother. Shows that you think being a parent is about you and not the child. If you think looks and sex appeal is all you should need to show you'd be a good pa…

I don’t know about that. I have seen lots of men get offended by other men who provided feedback when they can’t grasp a concept. I’ve seen this at university, work etc. I wouldn't want to be friends with those kinds of men anyways. I don’t think that’s a gendered thing, I think it’s a sensitive person thing. Who is more sensitive on average, men or women?

Depends, if I don't know I'm grateful they took the time to explain it and I'll do everything in my power to make sure they never have to again. If I do know and I've demonstrated that, then I'm annoyed that time that could have gone to learning something I don't know or fixing another problem has been wasted.

What interests me is why this upsets you so much? If you don’t want to help them, don’t. And give someone ammo to fuck up my career? Nah, I'm trying to retire by 45, I can't lose jobs and do that. I need to get as much knowledge on my particular industry as I can if I want to move full to full time consulting under my own LLC at 45.

Again, if your male friends need to vent about something, you should also be listening to them and not just doing it for women because you pity our poor feeble ladybrains or whatever. Men don't want to vent, we want to solve the problem so the stress I'm feeling that makes me want to vent goes away and makes venting pointless. I help male friends do that. Why do you think we need as much emotional discussion as y'all do.

Yeah they piss me off. I bottle that, because if I'm at work I'm not going to go off on somebody, but I explain to them where they messed up and what they need to learn from the "challenges" they experienced in the current sprint. That conversation is about 15 minutes shorter with men than it is women because I have to throw in a fuck ton of qualifiers to women so their feelings don't get hurt ("You're great, I was happy with how you did X, but..." is a go to for example). Whereas with men, it's…

Perfectly fine dying alone. As I've said elsewhere, I only want to date women that I think could be good mothers because I do want a family, but I'll forego a family if I can't find a woman I could trust with my kids and I'm not sure that woman actually exists and is still single. Don't worry at all about me in that regard, my emotions aren't your problem. Just killing that talking point because it isn't true, at least in regards to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 08:59 PM

No it's almost all of you that want to be valued for your looks and sex. You don't see women trying to show what good mothers they'd be when trying to get a man. You lead with your looks and sex appeal and your surprised that that's what we judge you on?

STEM can be tough for women for a myriad of reasons that are complex - I’m in STEM myself but anecdotal stories are slammed in this sub so I won’t get into the challenges I have faced. Why would STEM be tougher for you intellectually than men if you are our complete intellectual equals? I suspect these women value your help and don’t see it as benevolent sexism so much as someone addressing the pre-existing sexist challenges many of them face. How about this: be nice and helpful when you see people (men and women) struggling with something, AND don't think of women as less intelligent? Require an exact equivalent amount of help (measured in time and effort) as men.

What sort of work do you do that the women overall struggle more than the men? Software Engineer, primarily backend development and AI development. and that you’ve created what women assume is a safe space to ask all the questions anyone would like to if they could do so without repercussions? It's either that or hold them to the same standards as men and get glares at me constantly.

I can take or leave women at this point. I want kids, I've always wanted kids. But I've yet to meet a woman I could trust would be a good mother 4 or 5 years down the line. Sex for sex sake is just an ego trip for men and I've tried to get past it, now I want a woman I could share my life with, but haven't met a woman I'd trust to even move in with me.

This, though, is complete sexist bullshit. Women aren't less intelligent or logical than men. It's called "mansplaining" when men do this. I do hate this form of sexism. It makes the guy look stupid and desperate. Then why was I more hated when I didn't put in that extra effort? The only other choice is to hold you to an equal standard in all facets of life and be perpetually disappointed by you.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 08:27 PM

Btw, the women at your work incapable of doing their jobs are not fit to be there, if it is a constant thing. It's more that they take more effort and help on average than men do, 7-8 minutes per interaction, 5-6 interactions a day, so a full hour a day more help than men I work with.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 08:26 PM

Why do you think women are assuming you're willfully holding them to a lower standard? They don't. They are more reciprocal and pleasant now that I hold them to a lower standard than when I held them to the same standard as men.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 08:24 PM

Then they don't feel the need to burden me with them. Men don't want to burden others generally. You really think our emotional needs are exactly the same as yours?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 08:20 PM

It's kind of petty and made me realize women should quit doing emotional labor for men in most situations. Okay, what's this have to do with the question?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 08:18 PM
-3

You should be doing that to your male friends too, men should be more emotionally supportive of each other and less ashamed of their emotions. It's unnecessary to spend that time to listen to a guys emotions. I can glean his feelings from the situation pretty quickly and my understanding is all that matters, not my time.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/22 08:17 PM

You sound condescending and I personally would go out of my way to avoid you. I agree it is condescending to hold you to a lower standard. Why do women get along with me better when I am then? So it doesn’t surprise me at all that you perceive no one as taking issue with things like this. No girl has confronted me about it, and if they did I'd start holding them to exactly the same standard I hold men to.

Women are not sociopaths. Their risk assesment is as logical as harsh for good men who sadly are not goodlooking enough, but women cannot know any better... they cannot study every option possible as their pool is so great. I'd agree, women aren't evil. I consider most women EMPs (Emotional, Myopic, Prideful) and it's these traits that lead to choosing people who don't have aligned life goals with them and get enraged at the rest of us when their hypergamy has an expiration date. I didn't say that there aren't men struggling. I agree. Most guys around me are not struggling and they're average in my eyes. Why are you lying right to my face? Also, if you mean dating, sure. But you are judging those average men on their looks when there are a plethora of other factors that come in when it comes to how attractive we are. Income is a part of that. So when you say average man, I'm thinking a guy making 45K a year because that is about the average income in the US. Those aver…

I’d be very surprised if the majority of men who have more than, say, 5 serious relationships in their lives haven’t dated at least one Amber Heard type. Yeah, it's a problem. The only way to fix it is for us men to stop valuing looks so much and keep an eye out for red flags. My mother was exactly like Amber, just worse with the physical abuse until I hit puberty and could fight back. A lot of these women exist and need to be bred out of the human genome. The huge takeaway though is just how cr…

Sexism here is holding women to a different standard, misogyny is active hatred of them. You don't think there is a difference between those two mindsets at all? I'd love if women would treat me dispassionately, had full consideration for the potential consequences of all of their actions, and generally acted off of logic and kept emotions in their proper place. That's just not going to happen though.

There are women I don't find attractive who share a hobby with me. I hang out with them while engaging in that hobby, but I'd never spend personal alone time with them. Dating them has never crossed my mind because I like my hobby groups and don't want to fuck up the dynamic, and they don't meet my beauty requirements to date.

They aren't overturned. That was a draft opinion, not the official ruling. The official ruling is a couple months away still. It's just most likely overturned. Personally, I've engaged in hookup culture less and less as I get older (28 year old male now). If it truly gets rescinded I live in a red state so I'm just gonna choose to never have casual sex again.
