Totally smelt it but also some people lack confidence, a lot of young girls do, or could be vulnerable. It is easy to be tricked. Of course there are fully aware transactional relationships but I’m talking about my original point being about men who seek out young girls with intent of taking advantage being predatory. Not all are like that though of course.

It doesn’t always look like ‘creepy’. It can look like superficial charm and manipulation. As a woman, I definitely have experienced older men trying to do this to me and also my friends which has ended badly as we were only viewed as some sort of fetish/porn category.

I think it’s more so guys who specifically seek out young girls, fetishise it, and take advantage of the power dynamics and naivety.

I don’t think I know any men like that! Totally makes sense with the situation with your girlfriend and her boyfriend.

I agree with you and I’m also anti-pornography, I was just wondering your stance. Have you came across many men who are anti-porn or don’t engage with it?

I do t think men who use sex workers should be pitied. I think their should be better regulations and protection around sex workers. Would you date a guy who watches porn?

Not shaming, I just asked the question as I see it a lot here but not in real life. I literally agree with most of what you’re saying.

Agreed it’s exploitative in its nature but so is porn, I don’t think shaming people will resolve the issues surrounding it.

I wasn’t aware of it being a thing until this sub!

Are women really so against dating a man who has used sex workers in the past?

No, I’m saying it’s fine to have preferences but if you’re saying it because you view women as losing value and as “whores”…

I honestly don’t know, I wish I did but I personally don’t understand it.

If he has nice qualities and traits and get on with the person that shouldn’t be relevant

Yeah I guess, I just think it’s shallow personally and there is a lot more important things. But that’s just my opinion and basing it on how I am.

That’s gross I’m sorry people have rejected you for that.

Fair enough!

I disagree, I think it’s the ideas around it like women losing value or that they’re whores etc which is the problem. I don’t know many women that wouldn’t date a virgin but I know a lot of men that wouldn’t date women or judge them for body count.

Why would it make you an idiot?

No it doesn’t make me feel bad and it’s not wrong to have a preference. If you don’t wanna date someone because of body count I’m not judging you, I just think it’s a shame for both people to not pursue something because of something as natural as having sex. If a guy doesn’t date me because of my body count that’s absolutely fine!

Equally shallow!

“No misogyny here though. I love women who aren't whores.” Point proven :)

Women’s body are not a commodity, it doesn’t “lose value”. It’s objectifying. People can have their own preferences but if they can’t accept that women are sexual beings , just like men, then it’s going to be hard for them to find someone. Each to their own though. I couldn’t date someone who would reject a woman based on that, it seems like it’s rooted in misogyny and double standards.

Throughout history, women have been shamed for enjoying sex or being sexually liberal. Sex is about the male orgasm. It isn’t normalised for women to explore their body through female masturbation, or to talk about it. Mainstream porn is catered to men, even lesbian porn. Men are excused and enabled through biological, historical, environmental reasonings so if this is the narrative of course it isn’t going to change and be evident. I think society plays a bigger part than being compared to anim…

I don’t think it’s an issue but the way you view it is problematic, being able to control a human being is not a “plus”. Just because you think it’s normal for men to be territorial and possessive doesn’t mean it’s right or moral. I don’t know why you’d want to rationalise these ideas rather than having a partner you respect and see as equal. Humans are sexual beings, women have needs and have sex. It doesn’t change anything about them inherently.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
