Not me, I’m not afraid to be vulnerable at all, but to OPs point, being vulnerable has never improved a relationship I’ve had with women. It’s only made them respect me less and me feel stupid for opening up. For my mental health I’m actually working on bottling that up entirely in relationships. Maybe I’ve been around women who need to pressured by society to see male vulnerability as strength and not weakness, but I’m not taking any chances that I’ll find such an enlightened person.

Dating app companies have so much data on this— it would be great to dig into it—except we may hate the results. We can say, hey, everyone is beautiful in their own way, but some get a 98% swipe right rate and some a .8%. It hurts my soul too but in the old days we would have called those people ugly.
