Ah these discussions always make me giggle. Some men really can't imagine men feeling differently than themselves. No one should be looked down for what jobs that they choose to work. That being said that's a difference between women being rude or snobbish to these men or not wanting to date them. It would completely depend on the individual. Just because someone does a valuable job does not mean they would make a good partner. See the part that always bugs me about the whole "men built society so you do need them" argument is that being in a relationship with one men does nothing for the majority of men. When I have sex with my husband, how does the lineman or garbage man benefit? They don't. It doesn't improve or damage their quality of life at all.
