If it happens in a long term relationship I would be down but I'm also kenenough on my own.

I already plan on maxing out my roth ira every year and potentially my roth tsp since I should have pretty much zero expenses in a couple of years.

What are good goals for someone's 20s? I feel like I pretty much have everything lined up career-wise and health wise and I'm wondering what else I should try to accomplish. Like, learn another language? Chess? Video games and such have honestly started to lose my interest and even most shows are just time filler at this point. Like should I just work in my free time to make money to invest or what?

Is this true about nordic countries? Most of my ancestry is northern german/Scandinavia and I'm only 6'3 but my chest is probably my strongest muscle group since I can bench 305 wide grip.

Work = force times distance. If you at 5'6 squat to the same depth as me at 6'3 the work that needs to be generated by me is much greater due to the distance. So no just by being taller does not mean I'd be stronger. Anyways if you are as abrasive on here as you are in real life I'm not surprised you don't have that much success in dating.

I'm not in crazy shape but I'm 6'3 231 with 201 pounds of lean muscle body mass natural so I feel like while I'm not an expert when it comes to nutrition and working out I've found certain things that work for me and seem to work for others.

In the first couple the guy is tall and a healthy weight just needs to shave, the woman is overweight. 2nd couple are lookmatched. 3rd couple again guy is fairly tall but is also overweight while the girl is obese. 4th couple looks are lookmatched. 5th couple both are pretty overweight. 6th couple are lookmatched. 7th couple lookmatched. 8th couple guy is normal weight while girl is overweight/obese. If men are dating up in terms of looks they are doing a piss poor job of it. I'd honestly consid…

Being a mechanic is not a trash career, also by proportion most of the physical labor jobs are still done by men.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/23 08:40 PM

The college discrepancy is worse than before Title 7 legislation was put in place to help women get up to the same rates as men. Not that I think fewer men in college is a bad thing since many are going into the trades.

I know average friends who are friends with average women, they are still single, and if 50%+ of young men are single then the average population of males is single.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/23 03:53 AM

People seem to forget that men were still the ones dying from high-stress job environments either white or blue-collar. I really hate this perception that men just lived life on easy mode and came out to beat their wives, blue-collar men worked back-breaking labor for most of their lives and many women worked as well just in more adjunct rolls.

Many of my older friends late 20s to early 30s are only now getting married since they have a house/condo or their parents/grandparents are helping them out. In terms of my family, a cousin is getting married this month and my brother is early next year, and a big factor is they can afford it now. Also, another older brother is having a lot more success in dating now that he has gotten a career job. When it comes to dating/marriage I honestly believe that many single women desire it but can't fi…

There are too many factors in play to state whether monogamy is the cause that lead the west to rapidly make advancements that lead it to be the source of global power for the last two hundred years, there is some evidence of polygamous societies having more male on male violence and at least in my opinion society seems more stable when widespread monogamy is practiced.

True, I'm going to share another thought. Even if a young man at some point loses his virginity he may still not have a fulfilling romantic relationship since this is not taking into account guys who paid for sex or slept with someone they were not interested in as to not have a stigma attached to being adult virgins. To be honest I think many people both men and women focus far too much on the sexual aspect of modern-term relationships when in reality having roughly half maybe more maybe less o…

Yes, I think covid was most likely still impacting 2021, and would also like to make a trendline but that lowkey sounds like too much work. I did also see something that 50% of men aged 20 or below were virgins but I haven't found the data source, though it does much up roughly with my friend groups rates with 1-2 being players, a few in long-terms, and the rest perpetually single.

It's possible, I've had times in my life where I've been so busy with other things that women never crossed my mind, and ngl it was pretty nice. Mgtow and that crowd are also kinda cringe you don't need a movement to be a single guy just do it on your own.

Last time I checked for younger people it's within a couple of % points in terms of cheating, also I could bring up how women tend to lie more even on anonymous surveys when it makes themselves look bad so it could be closer to even or they might even cheat more. With that in mind, we can look to real-life examples and it seems like at least from my friends who I've talked to women cheat more explicitly but guys will go out with multiple women at once but not make it exclusive which you are free…

Eh from an economic level as long as you get a valuable skill you can still own a house and such, honestly for me I'll likely make 6 figures and own a house before getting with a woman.

Can someone who owns STATA or SPSS download this and check the amount of time men and women have had sex since 18 based on age and if they had sex in the past year, I could probably do it at my school during the semester but might lose interest by then. https://gssdataexplorer.norc.org/gss_data

I personally don't want a separate sub but the absolute refusal of the older generation to understand the differences today is what annoys me, it's like talking about the housing market of today vs when our parents/grandparents bought, completely different world but they give the same advice.

100% agree, moving and getting a new friend group can be hard. The gym is a pretty good place to start and if you get a couple close friends you can maybe join their groups.

BMI is kinda shit for certain groups i.e athletes and weightlifters. In terms of bodyfat%, I would say 20% or lower or if she has tall and works out 26% max.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/23 10:24 PM

Maybe, honestly, the first thing I would recommend is having a high-quality male friend group that you do activities you enjoy with, since if guys don't like hanging out with you why would women? Plus you end up being a lot happier at least in my experience.

To be honest, my man if you have autism or something no matter how good-looking you are you're still going to have trouble. You could probably do hookups if you got in really great shape like 6-pack, adonis, and so on but when it comes to a relationship you would only be dating down. Still, get in good shape since working out feels good but don't do it to get women.

If she would be interested in me even if I don't have a home it would pose no issues, but I definitely don't include owning a home as a qualifier or disqualifier.

The thing is a lot of these comments make the assumption that women don't like men/want to be with them, but I don't think that is true. If there was a large group of non-misogynistic men making six figures and who are also attractive I think women would be marrying/dating them if they met the men's standards as well. To me at least it seems like issues like wealth and such are what is preventing women from finding partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 05:51 PM

Did they though? In terms of upper-class marriages women still seem to be willing to marry/stay with men who cheat and otherwise have the same characteristics of the older generation.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 07:53 PM

No guys, since at least from my perspective men don't look at women owning a home as a super important thing. Them not being in debt and having a okay/good income they do.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 07:51 PM

What? Most women I know either live with their parents or live in a small apartment with 2-3 other women. Most men aren't getting houses but the ones who are, typically are engaged/married. Also, a lot of women are in debt and fuel their lifestyles though either corporate work or what not but many burn out by their 30s it seems, not all mind you but a lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 07:17 PM

Easy access to food and alcohol, binge behavior is considered normal. This last one is something I've only recently heard of but a lot of women say they gain weight on birth control which I believe.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 07:14 PM

Depends if your going to a university in a city good chance a lot of the women are in shape or at least not overweight. Now if we are talking any rural area most chicks are overweight/obese.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 06:55 PM

Being able to live alone is a huge thing since very few guys can do that while saving for a house and putting away money for retirement.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 06:47 PM

Q4A Has women's standards actually gone up or is it that this generation of men has not been able to meet them? I'm talking about in terms of long-term relationships but for my parent's generations, most men were able to provide the money for dating, house, car, etc at least in terms of the middle/upper middle class. Fast forward to today and that is not feasible for a lot of young guys myself as well until my mid-twenties. A couple of things to add upper-class guys still don't seem to struggle …

It is what it is then, personally while gun deaths are particularly violent compared to the mass harm that other things like the obesity epidemic and opioid epidemic cause they are less of a concern for me. The only thing I see often is that gun deaths are outside your control which is why the fear exists.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 09:53 PM

Again I already know this, convince others of your point and get an amendment passed if you want. I'm pro-certain gun laws and even think education about keeping them locked up by their owners is also important.

Guns entirely make it easier and more deadly, if you want to change the gun laws have an amendment passed.

I'm curious if mass shootings are going to keep going up, if they keep pace with suicides we should see them increase until 2028 but I wonder if anyone has done any actual work forecasting them.

The terminology does not matter, the fact remains that wages have remained stagnant while productivity has gone through the roof with the added profits going to the already wealthy.

Q4M Are your normie friends seeming to be affected by the same issues as you? This is mostly directed at guys in my age range so let's say 18-27 but older guys can chime in. Even for my normal friends even the ones who dated slept around, went to prom, etc. Most of them seem to be single now, was just talking to one today and he was talking about how it he wants to hook up he can (and has) but now that he is looking for a long-term partner he has trouble. This comes after one of my other friends…

I'll thank you for your kind words. Also, most of my troubles at least in terms of dating are either self-made (retroactive jealousy, high standards) or environmental (was raised with conservative social standards, and live in an area known for overweight people). I'll also say this I think there are a lot of great women out there just not many of them are single. I'd say the top three traits I select are kind, intelligent/sophisticated, and attractive with all three being pretty equal in requir…

Honestly, too many women have tattoos for me to use them as a factor for not being interested since that cuts out a lot of women from my dating pool.

Idk know bro I'm probably borderline autistic but I don't want to self-classify and even I've worked on having a male friend group over the years. if you are intelligent enough to work a white collar job you should also be smart enough to figure out how male friendships work. More so if you are a regular at your gym that might be a good place to start.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/23 02:26 PM

Yeah no worries, I'll say this though outside of the gym I personally don't know of any good places to meet people besides maybe the classroom if you are a student.

Mostly a joke, but yeah std's can be pretty bad ranging from just making you sick all the way to infertile or passing them on to your children.

I'd honestly recommend the gym for meeting new people, as long as you are friendly and consistent you'll meet people, and most of my adult friends have come from there.

I mean lifting weights and running a 5k isn't mutually exclusive, I'll say this and again it's just my opinion. When someone first starts to work out I think that weight training is best since it burns a lot of calories and makes you look better, it's also easier to gain muscle at 135 than say if you are 125 or 115. You can also do cardio at the end of your weight training sessions or on your off days from the gym. Also, I speak from someone who was at a high bodyfat I used to be 28% and only re…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/23 09:59 PM

The argument that I typically put forward is that romantic companionship is a pretty important part of the human experience, might not even be sex some guys just need a hug from someone who's not a guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/23 09:54 PM
0

It's true that a lot of men on here could benefit from just talking to women in real life, I don't say this as a remark to start an argument but women in real life are a lot nicer than women on ppd and if a guys only interaction with women is through here and other online spaces he is going to have a bad perception of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/23 09:47 PM
1

You could probably just do a body recomp at that weight. Eat around 135 grams of protein an lift weights 3-6 times per week. In my opinion, exercise itself as a form of weightloss is not super effective but gaining muscle is since that burns calories 24/7 making it so you can eat more and still be a healthy bodyfat %.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/23 09:33 PM

Nah black pill is the belief that looks are the number one factor in dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/23 03:10 PM

This sucks to say but a large issue is that the American public is just extremely unhealthy, the biggest being obesity which costs around 130ish billion per year if I can remember off the top of my head. We could have affordable healthcare, just not with how fat this country is.

Would the fat girls having better personalities be another version then?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/23 12:05 AM

I don't quite understand what you're getting at. Sure the depth of my relationships might vary but I have close friends who I can discuss my worries, personal life, and thoughts with. If by emotional intimacy you mean someone I trust and value their time and opinions I also have that. This all being said you can only hug your friends so much before you want to actually get positive attention from a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/23 11:55 PM

Bullshit, got a great group of male friends who I regularly go out with to the movies, lunch, gym, and whatnot and it still sucks to be single sometimes, it's just how we are as humans.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/23 11:22 PM

3 warm up sets and than 4 working sets with reps of 8-12. Once you can do 12 at a weight go down in reps to 8 and up the weight.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/23 02:45 AM

Same my brother went to a concert with his girlfriend even though he wanted to stay in, women are the real consumers.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/23 01:13 PM

Yes, I've worked out since 16 and gotten more into fitness in the past two years, I do bodybuilding but my max lifts are 495 deadlift, 375 squat and 290 bench.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/23 01:12 PM

Q4A What's more impressive a 6-pack on a 170 6'1 guy or a 4-pack on a 6'3 230 guy?

Some mechanics might beat you, know a guy whose forearms are the size of his biceps and his grip is killer.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/23 02:36 AM

If you're into the gym space for a couple years you typically know what signs to look for, not saying it's easy to tell and many people are just gifted but once you get to certain points there are tells.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/23 02:22 AM

You might have a young face, I have the opposite problem in that in terms of muscle mass I have more than average for my age so people typically place me 5 years older.

If you don't feel a lot of attraction toward women you should probably just stay single, if I could flip a switch and turn my attraction towards women to zero I would.

It's more like all of us (non-primary producers) should be thankful for those who do the work that holds society together. That being said on my drive home today I think I saw maybe one female construction worker of the oh 20+ I drove past so while no one's contributions to society should be downplayed we all know for a fact that the most dangerous jobs are the ones that men tend to overwhelmingly be in. Again survival is different from living a good life and I hope that as a species we can figu…

Yeah, but height's not everything it's more about your frame, if you don't have a 6-pack, a good skincare routine, and hygiene then your not an incel it's by choice. I'm blackpilled personally but once you get to a low bodyfat and actually take care of yourself you'll find at least one woman whose into you.

Yeah Cheating is different than sleeping around while single, plenty of legitimate reasons to not personally want a high body count partner but it's definitely not the same as cheating.

At least one of them was a nice guy who had two long-term relationships before starting to sleep around, the other I don't know. Another thing the video does not talk about is guys who just date women long-term with no intentions of marriage. I don't know if this is a trend or maybe it's a mutual thing but a lot of guys I know from my age to their 30s don't plan on getting married but will even live with a significant other but when I talk to them about things like a marriage they say things lik…

Depends on the definition, if we are talking about truly average like overweight, short, and broke then not any. If we're talking women who might have an average face but are say track runners, or an overweight girl who is beautiful and smart then sure plenty. My current crush/interest is a women from my gym who's probably a 10/10

Multiple reasons, the first is that I keep myself in good health and expect a partner to do the same. Besides obvious reasons like looks I spend anywhere from an hour to three at the gym per day (including driving/sauna/shower etc.) Which outside of work will be my biggest use of my free time, I love the gym and working out and anyone who does not share the same passion may take issue with my life. Other active things I do are things like ultimate frisbee or canal runs with friends.

Since I've become more confident with my body and lost weight the way people have treated me is quite nice, my career is not set to take off until two years from now so I don't know how big money and status will be but I can recommend to everyone that being in shape makes life a lot better.

I don't know how true this is honestly, one of my friends is in the trades as an aircraft technician and is objectively really good-looking only dated one girl long term and is now single, but mostly of his choice due to not meeting the kind of quality women he goes for, if we are talking average joe as in a construction laborer out of high school plenty of them are married/having kids but to at least me not quality women, also plenty of them will end of divorced and remarried or in dead bedroom…

Women can bodybuild surprisingly easily, their hormone makeup makes high rep low weight easier to do with quicker recovery, the downside is strength training is extremely hard to progress. Hence the big physique but low lifts.

How much of that component is just fat parents passing on unhealthy habits? Not saying genetics don't play a role and people can burn calories at widely different rates but the laws of the universe degree that unless you take in more than your burn you can't gain weight it's not possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/23 11:45 PM

It varies I did two years for my undergrad and I'm doing another two for my grad school, and it's not OCS it's Army ROTC. It is typically 4 years but some people do it in 2 or 3 by doing basic which counts as the first two years. The biggest reason I'm doing it now is I had my undergrad paid for through a state scholarship and if I can get free grad school and a good career why not do it now.

The dating world would be such a better place if being stopped complaining about the average this and average that, just work on yourself until you can get what you want, and if you can't just focus on other things. We are living in a time of pretty much unprecedented prosperity in the span of human history where things like music, quality food, and endless entertainment are available and people be mad they can't get with someone. /r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 05:53 PM

What's your social class and why did you decide to get married?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 05:47 PM

Reasonable take I've always heard five years, a couple of dating, being engaged for a year or two while finishing school, and then getting married as you're getting settled career-wise. I feel bad for my brother's girlfriends since they have been together for 10 years and own a condo but aren't married. Partly due to financial reasons but her parents are very wealthy and willing to pay for everything but she has some hiccups over that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 05:42 PM

It differs by the men we are talking about, personally, I was/am the wait-till-marriage kind of guy mostly due to older values but I'm willing to give someone a chance if they have only had long-term relationships and it's not their fault they broke up, however, if someone has done casual I have no desire to be with them due to a difference in values.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 05:40 PM

Looks wise above average as in not fat. Also, I'm a pretty big gym rat so if my partner is not into it that could potentially create issues. Personality wise she has to be intelligent as in I can hold a good conversation with her whether that is in regards to social events or financial matters. Also, her career matters so I don't want some chick who is a high-school dropout so she'll most likely have at least a bachelor's if not a higher specialized degree. Careers that I find attractive are phy…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 05:36 PM

Is it me or are more men just having forever girlfriends vs fiances/wives? I don't know if this is an actual trend but many times I've asked my male friends who are dating if they ever want to get married and most say something along the lines of "That's a long way off" or "We'll see if we are still together at that point". Also, most of my friends are in the mid 20s to mid-thirties range. Even if my age group range 21-23 except for like two guys and me pretty much no one plans on getting marrie…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 05:22 PM

First off if you are not making any new friends that is the issue, if you don't already workout at a gym I would join one (your campus might have a student rec center) and I would make friends there, also I would join an intramural sports club for something you like to play and you can also make friends that way.

It's both I posted a similar study and it's that high IQ women don't reproduce and that low-IQ women reproduce at higher rates. The fertility rate and a women's iq has an inverse correlation which means that as IQ goes up the number of children goes down
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/23 07:54 PM
8

Don't need to IQ has been dropping fast for at least two decades and while much of it is due to environmental factors and idiots being able to survive until reproduction and think part is due to women picking low iq men.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/23 09:35 PM

But the 8/10 probably has enough social iq to not call women whores to their face, plenty of misogynist men now how to hide it, and many times they are already sleeping with the woman in question before she has even taken the time to learn about his views.

There are also plenty of stats that the ladies might like such as ones over porn addiction and alcohol consumption. https://www.wf-lawyers.com/divorce-statistics-and-facts/

Many people marry the people they meet in their early 20s in their mid to late 20s. They find their partner either in college or the workplace. Also I'm not saying that women can find a quality partner right away, but I would say it would take 6 months to maybe a year max if they are vetting well.

Maybe it's not normal to think of cheating, divorce, std's, and whatnot when thinking about relationships, but again it's normal to be overweight/obese, in debt, and below average or average IQ so being anormal is fine especially if it has served me well in other aspects of my life like career, health and finance.

True, I'm about to take grad stats next fall so once I get a little bit of exposure I might take a look back on what I've taken as fact since hopefully, I will be able to deduce whether people are fudging the numbers or not. You know that one quote lies, more lies, and dammed statistics.

Does this not just confirm what we know that women sleep around with guys when young than pair up and settle when older af/bb?

It seemed to have to put on a facade in the past about how they are oh so much better than man and cared about other things over looks, which is half true since looks predate other things such as personality, stablity and what not which women also look fo but looks is still king for both men and women, women used to/still lie about it more.

Generally speaking, if a young child has trouble socializing we strive to incorporate them and this can be done through group activities, active feedback (green card, red card), team sports and such so I think we need to focus more on helping the youth especially the young men socialize since school shooters generally speaking is not the football captain. Relationships should be voluntary I agree with that.

One of my is a pretty good-looking guy and could be considered a "chad"(easy access to women for sexual encounters), my example is that one time over a 5 day period he slept with 4 different women ranging from above average to attractive. I recently asked him if any of the girls wanted to date him and afterward, of the 4 women 3 expressed interest in a relationship, he obviously did not date any of them since why would he? In regards to the military not being able to find recruits and maintain them it's mostly due to the obesity epidemic, drug and criminal history, and people leaving due to the strong private economy. Salary is contingent upon a variety of factors, but at least for men vs women the biggest factor is that men especially married men are willing to work a greater amount of hours. Pornography is different from romance, also I do think at least young kids >13 should have a certain amount of protection in what they see/read but we need to have discussions of what exactly that is. I don't want to say hate but I really dislike that blonde chick, I honestly don't think the republican party will ever get itself together, if we could get turn limits, voting where if your first vote is not the winner it goes to your 2nd choice and so on and ban stock trading for any members of the government with privileged information and their close family we might actually be able to get a clean enough government to deal with issues like the opioid and obesity epidemic and maybe the std iss…

These are all generalizations and none may apply to individual or maybe all can Body shaming, I would say most women think that calling women who are overweight fat is wrong (being overweight generally speaking is a conscious choice) but then many of the same women will have no problem making fun of short guys or guys with small dicks(not things a guy can choose). Also I found it funny when women use incel as an insult since it insinuates that a guy not being able to sleep with women is a loser …

For me it depends on the women's culture for example in many middle eastern countries you keep your last name as a woman when you marry so that is normal but if I was marrying a western girl and she wanted to keep hers just because I would maybe have more of an issue since that could be a sign of her not really being invested into the marriage since it is traditional here.

Okay, but does this not mean that if we have lower-than-average IQ people pro-creating at a higher rate than average and above average the average IQ would not move downwards? (This is my position that the g factor for IQ in the U.S. has steadily been decreasing for roughly at lest 3 decades)

Not blaming it on feminism but there are still areas in which women benefit more in society the largest being lighter sentences when it comes to sentencing, for the same crime a woman is more likely to be given a lighter sentence than a man and this discrepancy is greater than the racial differences in sentencing.

If you view having children as suffering that is fine and I'm cool with your choice not to reproduce but the issue is what will happen on a societal level over time. I mean it saves a lot of time when you have someone who brings up the subject give you the information they are going off so you can go look at it, the reason I asked is that in extreme cases such as with a genius regression towards the mean would make sense, but if you have two above average people mentally wise and their children are in either a better or same environment as their parents I would assume the intelligence of the children would either remain the same or increase slightly.

I agree but most of us at least give some credence to it, and often times laws mirror what society as a whole thinks is write or wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/23 09:19 PM
1

I mean that is true, why do you value that difference so much that for one (the 6 month old) you need to leave it to die vs the 23 week old you generally speaking have to kill it for it to go away?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/23 09:13 PM

Why 16 weekis in particular, I assume something happens at 16 where you think it is wrong after whether that is brain development-wise or something else?

/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/23 09:10 PM

Yeah you can be single of mostly no fault of your own, generally speaking, Indian American guys don't have a lot of luck with women due to how women racially prefer other races and they also have to deal with there being more Indian guys than girls due to selective abortion. I think a better way to look at this is who draws more away from the system and who contributes more, there was one study that showed that over their lifetime men contribute a net $172,000 I think and women are a net negative of $172,000 but there were some critics about how we measure the amount of value that women do that is unpaid which if fair, nowadays women are actually outpacing men in workplace participation so maybe it will flip the other way. That's true so maybe I won't use notch count as a way to avoid divorce but it still does not change the other factors like not having attraction to high notch count women

The Chivalry hypothesis is a thing, for the same crimes women are given lighter sentences. The discrepancy is greater than any racial one as well.

For the STI test, I guess you are correct but even if they are clean now they could have had them in the past which can leave lasting effects such as infertility. Yes, correlation does not equal causation but if you have the choice between reducing your chances of divorce or increasing it which will you choose? Also, society has had both positive and negative changes I would say hookup culture is a negative one.

Also been approached by women a handful of times but my biggest issue is that my standards are extremely high I have been told this by friends and admit to it myself, not shy either when it comes to talking to guys. There are objective reasons that are hard facts like the risk of STDs, and correlation with divorce rates. Other things are still up in the air but I lean towards being true such as pair bonding if you don't think it is true that I fine but I lean towards it existing at least to some degree in humans. For personal reasons, I want someone with similar values and I straight up don't feel attraction to women with high body counts. There is a caveat and this is all in regard to marriage. Also since …

That's true but many of the men who are attackers are doing it against their own will and when they get the chance to surrender they do so. Even then many of the fighters defending Ukraine are volunteers which counters or at least weakens your analogy of being attackers and destroyers since if they are both the attackers are being forced against their will and the defenders are doing so mostly of their own free will.

The gender pay gap is a good example of privilege and not equality, it's eqaultiy if you good paid the same for the same work, not when you work less hours, do less dangerous work and are less willing to travel and such, if you think that women and men need to make the exact same on a total basis you are arguing that women desere to get paid more for working in less dangerous jobs and ones that have more benefits hence the privilege and not equality.

I think after ukraine with all the women fleeing and the men either staying by choice to fight or being drafted(plus all the volunteers) whenever a women says that men aren't protectors and you can't take pride in being a man for that reasonm its a weak argument since it is quite clear that men are the oens who have fought and died in wars and will continue to do so, same for doing the jobs with high workpalce mortality that again men overwhelmingly do.

Not my field of expertise but I will try to answer, men only have one set of x chromosomes since they are xy vs women are xx so if men have a bad gene it is more likely to be expressed whereas women have the other x to catch mistakes. If we take the statement that men on average and on the extreme end are more intelligent than women as a fact or at least a possibility a couple of ideas can be presented. First, for the pay gap, they don't account for job type in the gross pay gap, and even when they do they don't control for hours worked, experience, and other factors typically. Most of my argument for the pay gap boils down to men working more hours and taking on more dangerous work with intelligence maybe playing a small role. Looking at both the extremes and averages men do come out ahead. I would also say most of the factors you list for the pay gap discussion are trainable and intelligence is less so. You also skipped over the workplace death difference and all the other issues I brought up. So I think I have brought up some good points. What would it take you to see whether that is evidence-wise or even just argument-wise that might make you understand my viewpoint, if there is none please say since I don't want t…

Maybe but probably not as bad as doing hookup culture until your 30s. This is anecdotal but the most well-adjusted friend I have is engaged and he is 21. Another friend who owns a business and is finishing his master's is also 23 and married with a kid on the way, he is also a super happy dude.

I disagree being logical is what we need more of not less. If everyone made logical choices like waiting until you are stable and have a career before having kids, not overeating if you are overweight, and such the world would be a much better place.

It's true that it is a complex subject and there are probably people who know more about it and offer better solutions and right now I don't think I would want a total restructuring of society but just an honest look at reality. I'll give an example of what I would like to see, in my hr class the professor brought up the pay gap and it is still touted as a thing even though when looking at factors like hours worked and such it shrinks to around less than two percent and that is not even accounti…

You are correct and I have read through the Wikipedia page and a couple of others as well. I think gen z dating is pretty varied with no real pattern. Ghosting is common with pretty much everyone having experienced it which is a good observation. Personally, I think dating is now you either doing really well or don't get anything but maybe that has always been the case Pareto Principe and all. I'm curious about if guys are going to settle down with women (if the women even want to settle down) since I know a lot of cases of men dating/sleeping with multiple women and at least to me un…

They either wallow in self-pity and kill themselves, or kill others and then themselves. Not the best outcome.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/22 03:02 AM

I think it's pretty clear that single men are more dangerous to society than single women, how we address that is still being determined but disliking it seems to be the approach for the past couple of years but now it seems to be being reexamined and we are still figuring out what to do. Also women tend to lie to themselves more hence the fat acceptance movement.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/22 02:36 AM
2

Better to be alone than to settle I think this stands for both men and women, if people would actually work on themselves to the point where they were worthy of what they want there would be a lot fewer fat people around and a lot more couples who actually brought more into the relationship making them better all around.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/22 02:32 AM

I think if women had consistently high standards that don't only apply to looks I would be fine with that. What we get is women have high physical standards for casual sex, but then lower those later when it comes to relationships. If she has high standards and never lowers them that is fine, the lowering later is what bothers me and a lot of other guys I think.

It's kinda weird when you actually start applying the principles, I woke up this morning and thought about skipping the gym for maybe three seconds before getting ready for the gym haha. Besides meditations have you read anything else? I am not too big on philosophy but it seems pretty useful so far.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/22 01:46 AM

Looks are the biggest factor that both women and men look for in a partner. Men are honest about it generally speaking, and again generally speaking women are less honest about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/22 01:40 AM

I'm 6'3 so I guess I barely pass for tall and I don't really care about women's height preferences, don't really know any guys who really care about what women think more than what they look and how they act. I do have a friend who only dates 6'0+ dudes and while that did not make me think less of her there were other things combined with that which made me not want to be with her romantically if that makes sense.

While there is the study that took into account names, and there is the other explanation I gave which is that for a period women have a developmental advantage that later goes away. Also, there could be another explanation in which someone posted that attractive people get better grades when it is subjective work which I think a case could be made for. I think there are multiple factors in play, one that is not often talked about is that men start brain development slightly later than women but it goes on slightly longer as well. So women have an advantage in middle school to early college but around 25 men seem to come out ahead.

I have also asked a couple of my friends in real life and all were against it. So unless someone can provide me a recent study of men saying how great porn is I think I can state that at least of the men in my life porn is generally regarded as a negative and not something to be praised. https://ww…

From what I have heard women can date up if they approach since some guys are so unused to it that they might consider giving someone a chance that they would not have otherwise. I've been approached by women only a handful of times and while I did not return the interest I still remember each encounter since it is so rare. Also I think it was actually a woman who first put forward the idea in either a article or book if I remember.

I'd argue that communication is more important than how many partners someone has had sex with with regard to great sex.

Maybe but it would be circumstantial, if they were already cheated on and then cheated I would still think they are in the wrong but may still be friends if they admit what they did was wrong. If they cheat all the time of their SO I would not want a person like that in my friend group.

Reddit is one thing and real life is another, maybe since I have a middle/upper-middle-class religious background this skews my view but most men around me don't glorify porn as you say. I'll say this society in general will take advantage of men's sexuality as it does of women's desire to be attractive but I don't think one group is substantially worse when it comes to saying porn is okay with plenty of women promoting it for financial benefit.

I don't think we know exactly the cause of low sperm count since some of it is due to obesity and other parts might be due to microplastics but this research is still new. Also, no one is forcing obese people to eat unhealthy food and drink sugary drinks.

Mmm I don't particularly disagree with anything you said except for maybe downplaying how great an effect not having a partner can have. I honestly believe that while you can be fulfilled while being single for the vast majority of people both men and women having someone else is a borderline necessity to live a fulfilling life. Not saying that having a partner is enough and many times people are so afraid of being single that they tolerate negative relationships. I am also going to say that f…

I agree with you that the porn industry and strip clubs are negative and no good man would support them. Bars, clubs, and festivals are a little iffier since some people just go with friends or if they go to hookup they sexualize themselves(both men and women). Media is a really large term so could you be more specific about how they leverage women? Also do you not think women at least have some part to play in sexualizing themself to benefit from men? A good example is female twitch streamers w…

Okay, I think I understand you but I don't think that takes away from my original point which if you can in good faith trust me is that "for men in my age range the leading cause of preventable death is suicide" which I think it a big issue and could maybe be at least partially caused by lack of having a partner, also you seem to know these stats but don't a good portion of men often commit suicide after they are divorced? if this is not true you can ignore that point but it may add some substan…

I don't think you're really disagreeing with me. I don't support dating apps since they are negative for men and create a greater divide between the genders but I would also be against them for pretty much all the reasons you listed. What confuses me is that you argue that obesity is a societal issue due to corporations targeting consumers but on the other hand you don't really seem to have a problem when they prey on me but maybe I am misunderstanding you.

Is that not because we have the lowest risk of death from health-related issues? If a group of men who are predominantly healthy is mostly dying from suicide that seems to be an issue. I am looking at the NVSS and if you have one that accounts for race and age maybe I am just reading the data wrong or we are looking at different things. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/leading-causes-of-death.htm I'll admit I may have misspoken since sometimes I mix up the leading preventable cause of death and the…

For my age range suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death and I think when accounting for race number 1 so I am not referring to older and middle-aged people. But if they are also committing suicide that is an issue as well.

I do think childhood obesity is sad since I myself experienced it, however, I would say being obese is more of a personal issue vs being abler to find a valuable partner as I have had no issue dealing with the former but am still working on the ladder. I think the hesitance to admit that there may be a societal issue that is causing people to not want to acknowledge men's loneliness as an issue as some would take it as women being at fault which is not the argument I am making.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 02:18 AM

For my age group suicide is the leading cause of death not obesity, but maybe this reflects how young men's lives are just valued less.

Companies also take advantage of men's desire to find a partner (tinder, bumble, and pretty much every dating app.) Also, since when have corporations been held responsible for the ever-increasing obesity epidemic? The kid's meal is still I thing and from my understanding cereals can still advertise on kids' channels but perhaps that has changed. I never said women can't be manipulated into relationships or having sex so that is a non-point. Both men and women are treated like products, men ofte…

It's a little interesting to me how some individuals have no problem equating men's relationship/romantic issues as a personal problem of the men(I mostly agree with this) but then when it comes to issues like obesity it suddenly becomes a fault of society even though most obese people are overweight due to there own fault. Maybe this is a bad comparison but I'd like to hear why if anyone disagrees with me.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/22 08:32 PM

The point that I am making is that by and large women's happiness has been decreasing and mental health issues like depression and suicide have been on the rise for 30-year-old+ women. I most likely agree with you on the waiting a couple of years part since I think it is probably best to be engaged/married for roughly 5 years so around 27 to have children.

I don't think there is an objective answer here if that is what you are looking for. To me, the "betternesses" of someone is what net positive that they contribute to society/humanity. That means that to me an addict who robs others to fuel their addiction is a net negative on the world and a heart surgeon who saves lives is a net positive on the world. This is not an end-all example and I could make a million caveats but I think my general point makes sense.

Because men are people and if their concerns are legitimate they should maybe be listened to. There is a major difference between guys complaining about not getting laid which I am not defending but many men myself included just want some basic respect and empathy, for example, it can be as simple as shooting me a text on why you don't want a second date vs ghosting since if I am treated poorly by a group (in this case women) I am going to be less sympathetic and care less about what issues they…

Pretty much like this but I would like to add that the wall for me is when women stop being able to get what they want from relationships whether that be sex or something more my best guess is that it is around 30ish since that is when women's suicide numbers start to go up but that could be for a myriad of reasons and not being able to get married to who they want might be one of them and it might not.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/22 01:44 AM
1

I feel like the wall is a lot less based on age and more on how you take care of yourself, there have been 40-year-old women who I would rate as significantly more attractive than women in their 20s based on the 40-year-olds being slim, having a skin and hair routine and good genetics vs some 20-year-old girls who are overweight, eat like trash and such. This applies to both men and women of course.

I think it really depends on what point in life you are talking about. Most smart girls know not to expect a guy who is in college or just getting out to be making 100k. I will say this however I am pretty frugal so I live with my parents as I am a college student and this does turn some women off, however, I honestly don't mind since it filters out the ones who can't see things from a long term perspective since I am projected to be making around 100k for 30 which is already better than the vas…

I would say you split it or do something small for the first date like coffee and than you pay(as a guy). It is not a good idea to take a girl on a dinner date right away since it will probably be awkward and things like the movies don't allow enough room for interaction which is why something small first is always good. This is like the pot calling the kettle black but can we get an article on how to write basic English sentences on the sidebar? Or at least a link to Grammarly? Also please don't roast me from now on for pointing this out I know I am bad at writing :)

Pro-tip if you want women to come up to you get a cute dog that you can bring to the bars, my friend has a border collie mix and it allows women to come up and strike up a conversation. He has gotten pretty much all his hookups from having women come up to him when he has his dog.
