Yes homo sapiens has been pair bonding for a long time, and yes you have more female ancestors than male ancestors. The article actually argues against patrilocality, and here's another one to support my claim if you'd like, which is a mainstream position in science. https://tierneylab.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/08/20/is-there-anything-good-about-men-and-other-tricky-questions/?_r=0

This is not 'the reason behind hypergamy'. It's related to bateman's principle and the males as competitors. Anisogamic males infer greater variability in reproductive success and as a result vary more than females in all traits. Historically, most males fail to find a mate, whilst most females do not. Therefore any given offspring statistically expects their father to be of above average genetic quality in the male gene pool, whilst their mother to be average, and will be best served by express…

So, seeing as how men do the vast majority of approaching, it goes to reason that men should be paying for formal dinner dates. How convenient for you. Get used to paying pariah.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 09:05 PM

the 21st century woman who thinks she is entitled to her husband's labour is the same as 1930s man who thinks he is entitled to his wife's body. Society will look back on opinions like yours with disgust.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 09:03 PM

Do you honestly think having children doesn't have an impact on your work performance?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/17 08:13 AM

Well part of what enables the blue pill mindset is being able to shift all responsibility for bad things to the eternal boogeyman - misogynist men
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/17 08:20 AM

That sounds infinitely better than the treatment incel guys would get lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/17 08:07 AM

I'm aware of why... But this is why it doesn't really work.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/17 08:05 AM

No democracy isn't a political movement. Case in point, the democratic party isn't democratic. Democratic party members who tried to play word games to claim ''the democratic party IS about democracy by definition' would be laughed at, as we should laugh at feminists. Read the book.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/17 01:09 PM

No democracy is an idea whereas feminism is a political movement. The correct analogy would be like defining republicanism as pro-black and then claiming that republicans are egalitarian in the face of any and all evidence. You could make support this fallacy the same way feminists support theirs, previously feminism won votes for women and previously republicans won freedom for blacks and you can use this to obscure the reality that past events in no way represent the goals of the respective mo…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/17 01:00 PM

So people in Uganda who say that they have a democracy are lying. Feminism is a political movement, as such it's defined by the sum total of the actions taken in the name of feminism - which are decidedly un-egalitarian. Hence, feminism is not about equality.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/17 12:49 PM

Women primarily care about status. Which is why going 'look at [insert famous person] who has your physical drawback!' is always pretty meaningless.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/17 12:23 PM

Feminism is about gender equality in the same way Democracy is about popular rule in a country like Uganda. They hold elections, they define the country as being democratic and beholden to the will of the people. But the elections are always rigged and everyone knows it.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/17 11:40 AM

You should read the myth of male power. You keep repeating your belief that 'feminism is about equality' and no amount of contrary evidence from people here seems to have any impact on you. You're either here to let off steam and rant about the frustration in your life, or you genuinely want to understand and come to an agreement between the sexes. If it's the latter you need to start considering other people's points of view.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/17 11:37 AM

This is like saying quantum mechanics 'purports' to be a scientific theory but has nothing to say on climate change aha gotcha. ?? But seeing as you want to know: in my opinion yes climate change is a real issue, and in general people are spending less of their time thinking about it because it's an issue waiting to happen whereas the gender war is happening right now. The only real effort that anyone's doing to combat climate change is developing renewable energy, namely solar. In that respect …

I think there's a kind of sexism common in girls where they just assume that sex should mean a relationship if they want one, but are of course all too happy to accept the offer of casual sex when they want it. To me, this is a bit like guys who think "you owe me sex because I took you on a date". If I didn't make any implications as to commitment and you just assumed it, you fucked up.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/17 08:13 AM

used almost exclusively by low value men, I would not be interested in that man. I think it's actually bimodal - low value men and very high value men
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/17 07:34 AM

those guys who are using girls for hookups aren't just out to use girls for hookups; they just didn't view that particular girl as relationship material but still wanted to have sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/17 07:33 AM

I don't think lying about commitment is very common. Guys just stay silent on the issue and dodge the question a bit.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/17 07:31 AM

You'd think all of those things about your dog and most people are pretty nice to their dog. Red pill framework establishes a state of mind which elicits behaviour which women find attractive.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 11:08 PM

Johnny says the sky is blue and Jane says it's green so we make a compromise. Women have unrealistic standards. Men don't.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 10:48 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 10:44 PM

If women were like 'I'd rather be the 20th concubine in Chad's harem rather than being with a beta bucker', they shouldn't be pressured into silencing how they really feel. They absolutely should, the whole point is that this doesn't build a stable society - the cornerstone of good morals. Men are shamed when they disregard women on their level. Old & Obese guys who right off old and obese women are shamed. You don't see it so much because it's only women who refuse to consider their equals as p…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/17 10:38 PM

It's been shown that teachers do favour girls for otherwise identical submissions. Not sure why you're bringing up 1907 as girls outperforming boys at school is a very new phenomenon, certainly in maths. Spelke argued after the Larry Summers affair that men didn't outperform women for tests administered in college and these should serve as a better metric than e.g. the SAT (which exists to predict college grades after all) Unfortunately there's a huge selection bias, as before college you make e…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/17 10:30 AM

Doctor's need some handle on statistics, and both benefit some from logic which is really mathematics. But yeah, those professions require less male traits and so are less male. I kinda just think the school system is heavily feminized and engineered to produce better female grades. Once you go from high school to college overnight the male attainment advantage in mathematics jumps back in. I'm not sure how else you're going to be judging math ability outside of standardised tests except some fo…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/17 10:12 AM

On it's own, perhaps not. But when you factor in male tendency to work longer hours, for more of their life, study more technical subjects and a greater aptitude for mathematics you start to expect quite a large differential.

Consent workshops advocate 'affirmative consent' standards which enables false rape reports and are designed to catch out guys who've done nothing wrong. They also push the alcohol precludes consent model which is sexist on many fronts: treating women as children with no agency over their decisions, and a double standard for men who also consented to sex whilst drunk.

Which is exactly why it's propaganda.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/17 07:50 PM

On average there's no discernible difference between the intellect of men and women. Men benefit (or suffer) from bateman's principle; which affects all anisogamic species where reproduction cost is asymmetric, whereby males have a much higher variance in almost all traits. Therefore as you deviate from the mean in either direction your sample size becomes more and more male -> You see many more male scientists, doctors, lawyers, because having selected away from the mean of the bell curve your …
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/17 07:41 PM

Consent workshops are a one-sided PC indoctrination session which highlights society's blatant disregard of the male viewpoint. They're sexist and promote prejudiced behaviour. But in a parallel universe somewhere they could be done better.

There's a lot of attractive female news anchors who were hired because they're attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/17 07:32 PM

Danny DeVito has the armour of humour. There's also generally a 'line' past which you stop making fun of people, Danny DeVito is too short and totally prepared to use it as a joke himself. It's also a lot to do with how they present and deal with it, not sure this is a male/female thing Most CEOs aren't really that much in the limelight in that way.

Alpha/Beta is a phenotype which is the combination of genetics/environment. It is entirely plausible for men and women to carry the same gene and have it express different behaviours in each.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/17 07:25 PM

That's false and there have been many studies proving it. Think about it for a minute. The marriage is literally a contract and a ring. You're falling for the correlation/causation fallacy - people who decide to get married share traits which tend towards more stable families than those who decide not to, which should be obvious.

Yes Like any debilitating condition it's very easy to get caught in the psychological trap, whereby the negative effects of the condition compound by mediating your behaviour, to the point where over time in some situations the behaviour itself may be the larger portion of the issue than the condition. I think where this goes wrong is in the conclusion that it leads people to draw to that short guys have problems because short guys are insecure. The insecurity only happens because the detriments…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/17 09:45 AM

Going to go slightly off topic here and trying not to be rude but want to pick your brains. Conventional advice to short guys is to seek out short women for partners. However, in my experience, shorter women are often much more vehemently obsessed with partner height than more average stature women. My immediate explanation is that it's a projection of their own insecurity about height. From the female perspective, do you think what I'm talking about is real? If so why do you think it exists?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/17 09:42 AM

Some things that men see as male oppression are leftover checks in place from when women were more subjugated. For example, the idea that alimony always goes to the woman made sense in a time when women generally didn't work. Nowadays I actually think a woman can be made to pay alimony if she makes more money than the man. Either way, I don't think this should be gender-based. This is a history lesson which we all know. In no way is it an argument that these things don't constitute male oppressi…

It's a good post. But all you've really done is rephrased how society favours women -> society empowers women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/17 09:15 AM

Height was made a requirement based on women's preference. IE the take home message being all those other desirable qualities which are not enforced requirements (for example, IQ>110) are statistically less important to women than height > 5'10. The only way to test for relative desirability would be to make women decide between height and another trait. This is exactly the point, in that paradigm short donor sperm went unused to such a degree regardless of other beneficial attributes that banks…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/17 09:13 AM

Those relationships are a strong minority as you well know. Marriage is only about legal standing and tax arrangements. If you are a family unit it makes no difference to the child whether you put a ring on it.

None of this shit matters. Imagine if this were still the 1960s and we were discussing a case of spousal rape giving our various justifications for Johnny's actions. But none of it matters because spousal rape isn't against the law anyhow This is the CURRENT situation with divorce rape.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/17 11:22 PM

Actually against this because I think the stigma which keeps women from viewing exploiting men's sex drive as a viable career path is paramount.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/17 11:17 PM

Sure it does. There's no requirement for a 110+ IQ to be a donor at a regular sperm bank based on demand, for instance.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/17 11:13 PM

Most sperm banks don't take donations from men under 5"10 because "women won't pick them".

Most guys in healthy LTRs really don't want to cheat, it's just a fact of being a male that you can't turn off the animistic pull of strange pussy. Cheating in a relationship is an environment of sex for free, no commitment or resource costs expended for the man. Men are wired to take this deal every time, and the biological imperative to do so is strong. We're also wired to value sex with new partners more than long term partners. So yes, monogamy takes work for men. Whether or not he will 'res…

I think everyone would be surprised to learn how much of a judgement on one's "personality" is derived from how they look.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/17 10:59 AM

This is the kind of hyperbole that stops us taking this shit seriously. Nobody outside the ghetto gets catcalled every day, and yet the overblown problem seems to be something middle class white men are expected to fix.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/17 10:58 AM

I'd say women are hurt more often and tend to make more of a scene about it, but when you actually hurt a man it's probably cutting deeper.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/17 10:56 AM

well yeah height isn't the only piece of information women are given on candidate sperm donors so necessarily other factors are being overlooked as less important than height.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/17 10:52 AM
1

Men don't claim that they wouldn't... Did you read the thread? o.o
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/17 10:50 AM

No hyperbole aside it's also hugely antagonistic and unproductive as it's more of an insult than a discussion. But none of those issues strike at the principle that talking about these things is somehow bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/17 12:42 AM

Well every year some women do go to sperm banks, and of those women sufficiently few choose sperm from men of average or below height that banks don't even want to stock it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/17 12:40 AM

The problem with telling white men to check their privilege is that white men don't have privilege not that pushing for equality is a bad thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/17 12:38 AM

Most sperm banks don't take donations from men under 5"10 because "women won't pick them". So yeah Imma say all the women in this thread are a prime example of actions vs words

In the traditional environment, once a woman is accustomed to living for a man who goes out into the big wide world every day to bring home bacon she tends to end up finding him pretty attractive. The "men are not attractive to women" theme is based on physical appearance. Women do not find men's bodies physically attractive because in general they can convince one to have sex with them whenever they like and to do so incurs a cost. Thusly it is much more hardwired into their psychology to be sc…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/17 08:18 AM

This only translates to wanting women to be more masculine if your definition of masculine includes things like 'intelligent'... By all rights, this used to be our reality. Before women were inducted into society like men are (education, work life) they performed far below men on cognitive assessments. Anyone who's ever been with a partner who's not on your level will know how annoying that gets. They would also have relied much more heavily on their man for life & decision making, purely becaus…

This is the effect that the traditionalist approach to society was having. When men controlled resources and competed among themselves for mates women predominately selected based on male productivity, because they had to. Nowadays women are free to select as they choose, and the result is much closer to the selection criteria our foraging ancestors would've used. In all seriousness the period of selecting for productive cooperative males most likely ended around 50 years ago and we are now sele…

I think that's a pretty succinct analysis. And to add to that paradigm TRP the movement is our collective protest that the morality you've decided isn't working for us, and so people aren't cooperating.

When you make the rules of engagement unfair don't be surprised when your opponent cheats.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/17 06:18 PM

It's true, but then collectively women have a storied history of lying about their inner experience and desires, so I think many in TRP community feel it is better to try and work it out ourselves and accept the misses that we accrue along the way. After all, you admit freely that this approach got us closer to workable sexual strategy.

I'm sure you've met a guy before in your life who was good with women but couldn't speak to an audience. I don't think there's a necessary relationship here. Besides he may be awkward while he does it but confident IE assured in one's abilities and capability to go get what he wants? The man never stops. I suggest you read about his dating life rather than his ted talks and you'll see very quickly that he's not the stereotype silicon valley nerd who doesn't understand women.
/r/MGTOW20/04/17 08:48 AM

Because for girls maybe the bottom 10% are ugly enough that it becomes an issue whereas for guys if you're decidedly average you're in trouble. It's also vanishingly rare for those girls to genuinely be genetically disqualified, which tends to have to be some inherited condition. Most girls who are in the untouchable category are there because they can't bring themselves to lose weight whereas guys are frequently just given the wrong geneset.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/17 08:41 AM

This is kind of the point, under the attitude of most modern feminists it doesn't matter whether or not he squeezes and/or pulls harder. If you decided you weren't into it he's already committed a crime and the infrastructure to prosecute thusly continues to grow.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/17 06:30 PM

That's probably true.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/17 03:50 PM

There is absolutely no shortage of guys who's lives have been ruined because of a false sexual assault claim, regardless of whether or not it ended with a conviction.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/17 03:31 PM

As you said, the police don't take it seriously. Pay attention when you go out to what girls are claiming was 'sexual harrasment' and you'll quickly realize how much of it is bullshit.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/17 03:28 PM

Too many women think regret sex, a sexual advance from an unattractive man or an unsuccessful/clumsy attempt at closing is a matter for the police, so the police have lowered their tolerance for this accordingly.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/17 03:22 PM

It's certainly given a supreme advantage to those men for maintaining relationships, however the primary issue is still present that the woman doesn't know when he is or is not serious about monogamy until after she's made her selection.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/17 03:17 PM
3

It's kind of a strawman, I don't think anyone's really concerned about women who want to live their own lives. You're just ignoring the vast quantities of women who exploit and manipulate men and our political system for their collective advantage.

Sneaky goalpost shift but not on my watch. See necessary versus sufficient or sets and subsets. These are part of the dating world and women have advantages in them. Men are much more likely to find themselves isolated and alone (also publicly demonized and financially indebted), whereas women are much more likely to have support of all kinds, and can always go sleep with some guy for immediate social contact. Women don't get slut shamed for "wanting strong, young cock." Women get slut shamed for wanting to sleep around, share more attractive members of the male sex amongst each other and ignore their equals. This is bad for the majority of males and bad for society because it promotes unproductive or violent behaviour in males and doesn't bode well for the future generation. The same stigma applies to men, but not nearly as much because men do not have nearly the advantage that women do in the SMP.

No man ever got married intending to get divorced. Your word that you're not like that is worse than meaningless. We had a security system for childrearing women and women turned it into a weapon against men, so yes until a more egalitarian alternative is presented I will continue to expect women to forgo the security of marriage. Why are you so surprised that men turn their nose up at this one sided deal? Where is the relationship security that marriage offers us? There's a bit of a fallacy sur…

If you come from a good family run a thought experiment in your head; what would happen if your parents found out tomorrow their marriage is void on a technicality, what would change? I think your answer is nothing, save perhaps rushing out to renew vows. The marriage is not the relationship; the marriage is the contractual obligation to relationship (ie, the money) which at this stage in time is so sexist that it offers almost no benefits to men and confers only risk. Only women are afforded se…

Some and some. The way in which women have turned the marriage environment against men makes me sympathetic to those redpillers who choose to forgo the relationship entirely, and their protest might speed the return to more workable conditions.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/17 10:28 AM

Because you're stuck in the mindset that your sex is worth my money? If you don't see a mutual exchange of companionship as being 'worth it' you are still viewing men as tools and are precisely the reason things like redpill exist today.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/17 10:24 AM

As an extension, pretending to be rich may pay off now, but if you save the money and invest, you will be able to do far more in the future which will gain you a lot more value within society than what the small loan at the beginning could have ever given. It's a speculative one, but I wouldn't be so sure. To be clear I'm not advocating people be careless with their money, but the fact remains if that expensive suit fetched you a job, the car impressed a business partner or has an impact on your…

Alright we can argue about the wage gap for hours, but you can't deny it's real. It's systemic, we pay women less. We pay teachers and nurses (predominately female jobs) lower than any other first world country. We simply value women's work less, we can get away with paying women less. Putting the cart before the horse. Do we 'pay women less for their work' or do women go into lower paid professions? Means adjusted salary for teachers has not deviated over the last 70 years, despite it transform…

People aren't thinking about the average woman, they're thinking about the average woman in their demographic. It may well be that the BP/PP average woman is still more common in the western world. It also seems to be that there are a growing number of demographic possibilities where TRP average woman is the one you will overwhelmingly encounter, and alarmingly these are weighted towards the higher socioeconomic side of society - meaning they will have undue weight in shaping future generations.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/17 08:53 AM

Interest rated loans exist because we discount the future, this is something hardwired into our psyche as men who are programmed to tolerate massive amounts of risk to succeed and incur a high likelihood that the future might not even exist. However, the other side of the coin is the rational basis to which we can discount the future. In your fridge scenario, paying tomorrow in order to keep food fresh today is rational. It is this side of a loan you want to be attempting to evaluate. To extend …

It's probably true that the over-analytical were drawn to PUA which led to redpill in previous eras, but now I think disillusionment is the primary drive. I don't think anyone's really suggesting to convict accusers without evidence, that'd be a total mirror of the current unfair situation. Unfortunately at the present time there's no shortage of cases which are thrown out because it was proved beyond reasonable doubt (through text/online messaging, or the woman's admission) that the accusation was a lie, and these should definitely be prosecuted.

The environment where men have to work their ass off to lure/coax women into sex is what modern women fought for. TRP teaches men to cut through the bullshit and engage with this environment, and then once it has been mastered they are free to decide on their own terms whether settling down to a family life is for them. It helps to free men from the bondage of women's exploitation of men through sex, helping them make decisions as though reality were more egalitarian. To put it simply, if you ar…

A male peaks early while he is in prime physical condition to be engaging in combat for mates, whilst attractive young women do not need a large sex drive to reproduce, rather around age 30 it needs to kick into high gear lest they risk becoming too old before reproducing. This is interesting. Can you elaborate on the logic/evidence/argument b…

I think men generally tend to care more about the factors which usually go along with income; education, class, smarts, confidence, etc, and therefore care about income mostly by proxy. Women are at peak fertility age 15-17. Don't let our culture fool you. Male peak fertility is around early 20s. DO NOT CONFUSE THESE with peak sex drives, which for women is around 30 and men around 18. A lot of ageing is cumulative degradation of genetic material. Symmetry and much of beauty is an indicator of genetic integrity, hence why time ravages beauty. This is more pronounced for women because as a proportion of 'what you bring to the table' genetic integrity is much higher for women tha…

I do think that outlawing abortion would be responsible for increases in back alley abortions.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/17 12:26 PM

Outlawing paternity testing is a way of restricting what people are allowed to do/discover. It's taking away the easiest way to uncover the deception, but it's not actually doing the deceiving. I think that's about as weak as putting snakes in a man's room and claiming you didn't kill him the snakes did. I stand by my original statement on this one. You're correct about paternity fraud being recent, but I don't think this is relevant.

Not that I agree with the original suggestions, but allowing paternity fraud introduces genetic drift, whilst ensuring true nuclear families means the species selects for stable productive nuclear families. There is also a stark difference between what archwinger suggests (restricting what people are ALLOWED to do), and what you are suggesting (deceiving people in order to MAKE them do things for free).

The equilibrium position under such a system is not that 80% of males voluntarily surrender themselves to genetic failure. Overwhelmingly the end result of such a society is that incredible levels of violence and risk taking become logical for most men, making the world much more unpleasant and dangerous for everyone involved, and incredibly bad for progress.

Sluts give away sex for cheap decreasing the value of sex. Betas give away commitment for cheap decreasing the value of commitment. This is why switched on girls (red pill women) are conscious about landing a guy with complementary beta properties whilst switched on guys are conscious about not landing a slut for the long term. In a land composed of alphas your commitment would be a commodity women can't get their hands on cheaply.

In my country there is no issue for women who want to have abortions. Obviously I don't support a situation where men have access to parental forfeiture and women don't, they must go hand in hand. The fact remains that in the US most women have access to abortions but no men do. Your waiver idea was suggested previously as a way to combat consent. Step away from #teamwoman for a second, you're arguing to restrict men's rights so they pay the price (literally) for your biological asymmetry. Again…

Two people have sex: Potential consequences: one person gets pregnant, both have a child to look after for 18 years. Very clearly the larger of the two issues is the responsibility about children, at the moment women have control over this aspect their life and men do not. This is an inequality in civil rights and certainly a weapon some women use against men, and a burden throughout their whole lives. We can normalize this part of the equation by giving both parties equal rights. We can make co…

The history as to why women have bodily integrity rights and men don't isn't really relevant, just the current situation. By your mode of logic here one could argue that black's rights are not an issue because the law refers to property rights of the owner. Men are not judged badly for having many partners. They are seen as cool if they do it. This is not true. Plenty of men face judgement for being too promiscuous, and you'll find men who are genuinely getting laid on the regular will play it down. The law doesn't stop either of us from having consensual sex. You were talking about societal restrictions on sexuality, which currently are more stringent for men.

What you're thinking of as "women fucking around" would've been working girls in medieval times. Our cultures used to have pretty stringent social requirements for how women present themselves in public to delineate whether or not they were working girls. You don't see A in today's environment because we have civilisation and women's rights and 7bln people. In the environments where these behaviours evolved it wouldn't be uncommon for women to have no males around they're allowed to touch.

Maybe you do, but then every girl thinks they're in that category and yet a large portion of you are getting it wrong on the regular. Speaking personally I don't find "Sorry I'm not interested" any worse. It's also generally more about tone than what you're saying.

Women are more flexible in their sexuality than men - two hot women getting together in a natural environment often: A) for one reason or another do not have freely available males to mate with. B) Are doing it to attract attention from males. It doesn't work in reverse because men telegraphing their availability for sex is meaningless to women.

Clearly this was consensual. Ignoring that, let's suppose it wasn't. If she's motile enough to be giving head she's not passed out drunk; you're not absolved of responsibility for your actions when you drink (I'm sorry I crashed officer but you see it's not my fault - I was drunk). So if there's no evidence she was coerced or that she attempted to communicate her reluctance it's a non-issue. Men aren't mind readers, if you wanted it to stop but didn't say anything it's still not rape.

Honestly I think structurally our society makes it easier if you're a woman. Biologically less likely to have what it takes for sure, but let's unpack that for a minute. Populations of males & females are distribution, the portion of those distributions who have everything required to get to the top is vanishingly small for both sexes, it may well be that vast amounts more men have hit that peak on the distribution than women, but it's still an insignificant proportion of the total population. A pregnant woman has three avenues to after the fact exoneration of responsibility; abortion, adoption and straight up forfeiture. Giving men access to this right is necessary to have an egalitarian society. Consent to sex is not consent to parenthood, this argument is the same as abortion should be illegal because "she shouldn't have had sex if she didn't want a child".
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/16 11:22 AM

I brought it up because you started talking about post divorce lifestyle. Men are quite capable of working without a woman. Women are not capable of being stay at home partners without a man. Alimony in the absence of children is never justified. For family cases, bring it down to a more realistic representation of the labor share or abolish it and negotiate a salary with your partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/16 01:11 AM

A man's prospects of receiving alimony in a female breadwinner household are much much lower than a woman's in a male breadwinner household. It is, in practice if not in theory, a gender asymmetric law. To clarify, financial abortion is not the right to walk away from a child at any time. It's the right to terminate responsibility during pregnancy, personally I think if female abortion limits are 24 weeks then an 18 week financial abortion limit for the father seems fair. Life is about more than just money, plenty of research shows how much harder divorce affects men than women, and the vast majority of divorces are initiated by women corroborating this. The difference is that our hypothetical man has been working. It's his money. Tell me exactly what portion of my money is your fair share? Alimony is legalized theft. Abolish it and negotiate a salary from your husband instead.

But our culture doesn't ask that of women, women are perfectly free to pursue a career life instead. There's not much we can do about the fact that women get pregnant and men don't. I don't see much rational argument against financial abortion really, it takes two to make a baby but currently only one party has agency over the next 18 years of their life. Populations are distributions. In 50s corporate america for instance, one might've gotten discouraged about the availability of good men, because the culture was quite toxic to women and their needs. My personal opinion is men's preference is a function of the effort in for sex against the woman's attractiveness; the hotter she is the harder he will try. If she's just giving it out, men may well be happy to 'fuck anything'

Not necessarily. It looks at breig meetings, without any implication for what kind of relationship they would have. Right, so the figure is an aggregate of sex and other relationships.

As far as I'm aware TRP views men's attraction to women as a regular normal distribution, if a man is average then 50% of women are below him on the attractiveness scale, so this checks out perfectly.

Feminism is a political movement, it's defined by the aggregate of voices under the label adjusted for their respective volume. If you disagree with this aggregate on an issue, then on that issue you are the straw feminist if anyone, and on this issue mainstream feminism certainly does not advocate female accountability.

Whilst this does sound like an isolated incident of crazy, I wish you'd not used such a bad example because as someone in a similar boat I think I and many men have found that women (even particularly sane women) have similar reactions to this sort of news quite commonly. Can any of the girls in here explain it?

Personally I think currently in the west it's more common for women to objectify than men, because it's culturally acceptable. Spend a couple days on tinder.

Aside from the screaming pedanticity, this study appraised dates not sex, and if you're going to seriously assess the pareto principle figures you need to be factoring in beta bux alpha fux etcetera. In any case, we could just agree to rewrite all our posts as 67/33 instead of 80/20 and make exactly the same points if it keeps you happy? This would change nothing.

This isn't an appeal to nature, she's not claiming that attraction to looks makes sense because it's natural rather it's natural because it's a proxy for reproductive fitness.

Yeah I've never seen an argument from any redpiller who's going to make his foxhole and die in it if the figure turns out to be 79/21, like what?

Your argument is predicated on an assumption that this 'whining' is futile. It is not, or at least it is not necessarily. Your own post extols how you unplug people with information and thereby change their behaviour, the same can happen for wider society. Our actions (men AND women) are an interplay of culture and psychology. Men's behaviour has been heavily moderated by culture (and often for the good, the near abolition of rape in modern societies has been very good for progress) whereas wome…

Red pill is not a psychological crutch, that's mainstream society. Red pill is about accepting reality and doing your best within that framework, if your best still ends up being in your eyes, a failure, then we sincerely hope you have the strength to deal with it. Pulling the wool back down over everyone's eyes because some people cannot stomach the truth is a non-starter.

I can watch Love Actually and separate it from reality just the same as I can separate Terminator from reality. I don't know where this is going? Most if not all men have seen a few romcoms, some are good (eternal sunshine, silver linings etc.) but the same rehashed script with Jennifer Aniston12 times doesn't appeal to us.

It would seem to be these boys are aware that society is failing them, they know that the advice they're getting on how to be boys and men is not in their best interest, and so they're reverting to making their own way. Whilst they're going to be called out on some shit here which is perfectly natural behaviour, we're going to get lumped in with this some genuinely undesirable stuff - I put it to all of you reading this that some of the stuff in this post simply shouldn't be. But this is what ha…

Okay, if you insist on making this sexist. Men were getting shit done on a societal level with words long before women were on the scene, and without the added benefit of a magical vagina to manipulate their opponents.

These people are in government, lobbies and they make policy. "Shut up and take it like a man" No, I'll deal with the problem, head on, with words, like a man.

It's given that it's a minority, the question is whether it's a sentiment that's always been there and the internet is just unleashing, or if it's new to our real environment as well. The internet was around for a very long time before any of this kicked off, and since kicking off it has done so very rapidly. To my mind, strong evidence that we're seeing the latter and this represents a real change in the thoughts of real people, rather than a change in how we're communicating.

The social stigma for men opposing it will disappear, and the movement will die.

By my perception most young men are aware of feminism and will admit how much they hate it in private, but aren't prepared to pay the social costs of opposing it publicly.

At the risk of being a dick, what you've said is just that there's a problem. But we know there's a problem, that's why we're here. Yeah, I agree, this is probably a good line to take with people who are immediately dismissive of the phenomenon

Men's competition resulted in workplace output in the old system when men ran sexual politics. Under the new dynamic men's increased competition has resulted in a huge spike to the fitness industry and a lot more time spent perfecting casual/online pickup techniques, it has not been good for societal productivity. Taken to the limit, it will cause violence.

Because feminists started lying about college guys and I'm aware of it, so I'm suspicious, but every time I hear about another refugee rape case they seem to turn out to be true. Go figure.

I actually disagree, considering how widespread the idea that men are expected to pay is, the "forgotten purse" seems infinitely more likely to be a lie than the "forgotten wallet" and I'd be immediately suspicious.

The epitome of entitled first world women's "A la carte" attitude to 'equality'. If a woman expects me to pay I am immediately no longer interested; at best my attention shifts from a possible relationship to trying to sleep with her that night and never talk to her again, and at worst I just leave. I've come across 3 several times, I fell for it once when I was a naive teenager and never again.

Right, so if it were just about you I'd defend your complete autonomy on your decision. But it's not just about you, so we need to have a legal process, kind of like how you can choose to smoke but you're not allowed to do it in public buildings, because then it's not just about you.

Most of you thought it was pretty bad when men controlled sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/16 05:36 PM

[Vast majority of] women have free access to sex whenever they please, they enter into a monogamous arrangement of their own volition. Men enter into a monogamous arrangement under duress because it's a necessary sacrifice to get sex. Ergo, It's worse when women cheat because women control sex. Same logic applies for men who have emotional attachment outside of relationship, because this is what men control, and we see this reflected in men and women's attitudes to cheating.

I think It's the vitriol, men are generally wired to be able to cope with adversity, and they could overcome all these institutional disadvantages. However when it's coupled with the message that they're worthless being blared at them from all angles, the temptation to stop trying is pretty large.
