I get what you're saying but i guess i just have a lower level of caution. Sure someone can wear a helmet, knee pads, shoulder pads, wrist guards etc when skateboarding, and its probably a smarter thing to do than wearing nothing, but i think its a bit overboard. If i perceived the risk to be a higher than what i currently see it as i would change my tune but personally i have never heard of this happening to someone outside of the internet. Different life experiences i guess.

Its a weird paradox for sure. It seems like what makes people depressed is relative. A person from a 3rd world country who suddenly lives the life of a minimum wage earner in the U.S. would be on cloud 9, whereas someone who feels they should be rich who lives the same life would be in hell. Even though one could be playing life on easy mode, our brains are wired to still feel depression due to lost potential.

Highschool doesn't count. Half the guys haven't asked out a girl in their life yet. Those are the same guys that will eventually ask out the fat girls. Just by looking at dating sites, if you're a girl you have to be pretty low on the totem pole to not get asked out by anyone i.e. obese or with a face that not even a mother could love.
