Those self defence classes are bogus. They had them when I was in high school and a few friends attended. We tested the taught techniques but none of them were good enough to let the girls escape from the boys while the girls were so enthusiastic about the classes before said test.

Can we all just stop shaming in general? Unhealthy behaviour should be addressed but that's not shaming imo. Otherwise your doctor could be shaming you when he addresses your unhealthy eating patterns and lack of exercising for instance. I bet some people see it this way.

I like to hit the gym 2-3 times a week. A year ago I started taking jazz lessons on bass guitar (which I play on and off for 17 years). Home improvement is a thing I love to hate but also enjoy. And I play video games and watch a lot of YouTube and Netflix.

Isn't this a general human thing? I think this boredom that is written about is just human. Like men don't get bored or long for this new and exciting new love or an affair. Thanks man. Your(?) law system is quite different from mine. We have a constitution which gives general guidelines/principles that are gratificated in private and public laws. It was quite early when I replied. Might have overlooked it. Good thing. More (read: all) people should skip religion.

Really? Constitutions are so generic formulated, almost unusable. In my European country it's very unusual to have a defence in a penal case based on just one article, let alone an article from the constitution. If I was to defend this girl (I believe that everybody has the right to have legal defence in court) I would not have my plea solely depend on a vague article from a constitution. If her attorney thinks it'll do, he/she wants her behind bars or is a mediocre attorney in the first place.

I think it's a weak defence if her lawyer uses just one article of the constitution. Why would he think it's going to be that easy? The articles of the construction still need gratification in underlying laws which give it more body than just a generic rule of the constitution. (Or differs the Anglo Saxon law system from French-Roman law system on this?)
