The majority of women are poor. White middle class college educated women are the minority globally. This is why this discussion is pointless, from someone who grew up and mostly dated the women in the ghetto.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 01:40 PM

Women are probably more likely to be killed for loving a man. The hate on social media is probably more likely to cause men to kill themselves.

It does. It is why I don’t really follow the IT Career sub that seriously. For like 6 years I have seen people state that the market is terrible and people with a decade of experience and multiple degrees and certs are begging for min wage help desk jobs. Same with house buying or whatever. If it’s always not a good time or things look bleak, then that is just the normal state. People still date, get jobs, and buy houses somehow.

I think the hard pill to swallow for a lot of guys is that they see for some guys it isn’t hard. Guys who just moved to a state or came out a long prison sentence who have multiple women making themselves available. That’s life, I am sure some who complain on here also have some luck in other areas. I see a lot of posters working from home making six figures, that feels just as difficult.

As a single dad I did it for that aspect, starting from a point of not knowing where the hell my kids were. I improved my life for my children and have gained custody and the means to support them, though it is extremely difficult. But that doesn’t do anything for my sex life. Yes I understand it isn’t supposed to, as attraction is about looks and entertainment. Still there is a constant stream of blaming the loneliness epidemic on being lazy or morally cruel. So women are constantly pushing thi…

I don’t know what I am. Like the black pill guys would say at 6 ft, handsome smile, big dick, deep voice, 10 sex partners by age 30 = attractive. But most of my experiences were random in between years of drought. My cousin spends 2 years in prison and has a fwb week of his release. I spent those 2 years getting rejected lol. Anyways I am trying, I eat a big breakfast and usually dinner too, my issue is between 8-8. 12 hours of stressing over work and my kids and other life shit.

I am 6 feet but the thing is I have never felt attractive to women. Or at least in a general sense, I might feel it once every handful of years. It doesn’t help that the only comments I get on my looks are that I look young, that I am skinny, that I should eat more etc. always unsolicited and framed as friendly. I see the short and stocky guys clean up routinely though.

Thank you for this comment. As a skinny dude I tend to agree with the guy above, but that’s my 30+ years being skinny in America. Always fun when a bigger woman claims we can’t handle them. Then you show her that we indeed have some tricks bigger guys can’t pull off.

Me probably. I am a rock star at my job, but during the interview I was a nervous wreck. I have female friends who will tell me things they won’t tell their partner (insecurities, child trauma) But I could not walk in to a bar or party and get a woman to give me the time of day. It’s a different skill set. I was decent at drawing if I took a picture and copied it side by side (with my own twist). My brother is a different beast who could draw shit from his imagination, I can only do stick figure…

I feel this is different. Talking someone out of their frustrations, assessing the issues, and guiding them towards a solution. A pain in the ass but I am not convincing anybody to like me, to want to hang out or more.

This is my issue. I can read non verbal cues all day, I know I am not autistic. What I can’t do is be warm and confident right out the gate. It takes time to warm up and be that funny or flirty guy. This leads to mostly being ignored, but any connection is friendship at best.

When I think back to one of the most fun dates I had, only one thing stands out. She was happy, excited, having fun. It made me happy and confident, I wasn’t thinking of money because I was having fun. Towards closing time at this fair I kissed her on the Ferris wheel because I had confidence, I didn’t feel judged. I was the same me as with any other women in the beginning though, I was already prepared for the bullshit. That is such a rare date something like that will happen with 1/10 tries, a…

People with bad experiences tend to find that activity not fun. My younger son finds school more enjoyable than his brother because he has better experiences both socially and academically. It’s painful in a meeting with the oldest and hearing teachers go “What can we do to make this year great!” I can read his face and know as I experienced as a kid: answer is nothing. Because they can’t prevent bullying and ostracism. They are better at it these days then when I was a kid, but then smartphones…

I disagree but it is hard to debate this because outgoing is subjective.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/24 04:26 PM

No but it’s often said they are. I think because women often link sex or even just masturbating to a woman with acceptance/agreement to a relationship.

What is annoying is that for those of us who don’t watch podcast, TikTok, YouTube videos about dating we get lumped in with these guys. It makes it easy to dismiss real issues we have experienced because the loud guys are obsessed with videos.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 08:19 PM

Besides the fact that you could have posted this in that thread: Height is so overblown on Reddit. I have been 6 ft for years now and women don’t really care. I’ll admit that I am skinny, but I have seen it play out enough that I know women are not choosing me over a 5’8” guy who lifts weights. Especially if he is cocky.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 07:52 PM

He read it fine as she made a whole post about him, with no negative judgment. If she was single she would be all over that. I doubt you respect the guys here who don’t ask out women, so why should they limit themselves for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 05:33 PM

For all you know he spent the past 5 years doing things the proper way, in your eyes. Using apps and getting nowhere. At the end of the day he didn’t disrespect her she seems fine with his approach.

And also yes other factors may play a part. He may be in line to get meat for his disabled father. The man hesitant to commit may want to drag things out because of children.

I get it but it reminds me of conservative viewpoints. “Just because you hire/elect a woman doesn’t mean they will do a better job. Therefore why not keep the status quo and hire/elect another man?” I feel like these guys are simply asking for consideration. Not priority but just a consideration.

This is coping which isn’t a bad thing to have in your pocket. It doesn’t answer his question on how to feel positive. I wish I could answer, I overcame addiction, got custody of my children, go in to the career I wanted etc. so now my life is so much better but that doesn’t translate to feeling good about where I stand with women. When I have a fwb I was funny, charming, confident and just rocked her world. But that doesn’t translate to other women, I need some feedback first to provide it, lik…

It’s almost all luck with salary and jobs. I make around 80ishk but I am the same intelligent hard worker who made $19 an hour a few years ago. I guess it is a compatibility thing, I wouldn’t even want to be friends with someone who thinks like you. Leads to voting down min wage increases because “those are teenager jobs”. Life doesn’t work that way.

I guess repeated failure? You mentioned a balanced variety in your own case, but if it falls too far in one direction maybe he is ugly? Of course some of these guys are like 19 so the sample size is too small, but if you’re almost 30 and can’t get a yes, I don’t know what to say to him.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/24 04:38 PM

So then we should stop using lines like ‘men this’ ‘women that’ ‘men should do this or not do that’ ‘women don’t want this or that’. If we are all unique individuals.

Seriously? When I turned 30 my biggest thought wasn’t career and dating opportunities, it was that I made it. 15-30 is such a dangerous age for black men, I know many who died in that range. So many unable to make a living wage, forced in to dangerous roles to survive. Police are employed and defended by the state while killing us. You said most of the people you know got degrees. I am not red or blue pill. I have boys and I struggle all the time with teaching them about the gray areas of life. I think it is very important to understand that anybody is capable of anything under specific circumstances. Circumstances can and do change as well. As for the dating part I couldn’t help them. I basically quit at 30 and I don’t have motivation to jump back in.

I think people leave for many reasons. Not for feminist approved or red pill approved reasons (he didn’t listen vs he wasn’t alpha), but both and many others. I think the human brain is way too complicated and we still don’t fully understand mental health. And on that same subject my brain is struggling to understand the why. /r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 05:34 PM

It’s so odd she is multi posting that women ONLY leave because the man keeps fucking up. And that men ONLY want sex. And my reasonable responses are downvoted immediately. Maybe I should ask you, what is the incentive? The feeling that people are actively looking for a negative during what they describe as a fun time, sounds exhausting. I am fine single but wonder at times if I should put myself out there again.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 03:53 PM

I guess. Still feels like a waste for men like me, 30+ and prefer a relationship.

So what incentive would there be for single men?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 01:54 PM

They are not talking about guys having sex, they are talking about themselves. The consequence is another hit to their self esteem, especially when coming from sexually active women. Hope that helps explain.

I don’t agree with this guy but it was a lot easier on dating apps when I could message whoever I wanted vs needing a match. So I don’t agree with the details, women look at me at the grocery store or whatever and certainly at the more fit guys. But his point is that it’s a numbers game and that I agree with.

Basically op is attempting a gotcha but we need to add context. So many of the things said on both sides is due to pushback.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 08:10 PM

I think your confusion is that you’re looking at your own situation with a male friend in the past. This is why you are ignoring the scenario where the guy is being used, and his happiness isn’t being considered.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 04:01 PM

So your argument is like investing is a good strategy if you have the initial capital. And your confusion is with the people asking how to get that initial capital. You can’t just skip that step and start talking about advantages of Roth to a guy with $40 in the bank.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 03:40 PM

This is random and unrelated to what he said. But to address your gotcha: Consider an ugly lonely engineer. It is possible he works on infrastructure while also struggling to set boundaries with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 02:52 PM
5

Exactly. I also think women are less likely to play matchmaker these days. Maybe it is different in the south but up here I make friends with taken women and that’s where it ends. They play no role in my dating life. They probably think “Yeah there’s single Suzy, but this isn’t the 50s, she has internet, a car etc. I don’t think she needs my help”. And single Sam is treated the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 02:34 PM

There is a sense of urgency with these guys, I think you don’t see because you’re in a relationship. Maybe they meet lots of down to earth married women that they click with. Maybe they can relate to the husband and see similarities in themselves. But at some point they want actual dates, and these are the places they know single women exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 02:18 PM
11

I think the issue is visibility. The women who are visible in spaces like apps and bars. Add in the fact that these guys are not going to focus on the tastes of non single women. Like when I was seeking an apartment and they had no availability. Nice place and all but no point in thinking about it.

This is because for a man to win in court he has to have some good cash. All this stuff depends on the individuals. Not blanket fathers or mothers. All I wish is for the courts to look at the individuals and not use generalizations to make decisions.

Two different mindsets. You are not the woman he is referring to who is out of shape but feels they are above out of shape men. These women permeate dating apps and will keep going without pause to reconsider. Like my cousin who brags about the cash, cars, jewels. Gets it all seized and a prison stint. Comes out and brags again etc. For some people it is not about long term, or security or whatever.

I am not dating in my 30s, I actually and with the feminists in that I don’t want to be bothered while grabbing cereal for my kids. I was simply explaining why I dated incompatible women when I was younger. I always found it hard to find people like me because people like me don’t put ourselves out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 03:17 PM

I can speak from experience: these women are accessible. If you meet women at parties, clubs, bars, apps etc. they lead with their looks, they are also accessible to talk to. I probably would have done much better dating the modestly dressed home body, who when out prefers more laid back quiet scenery's. But how would I have met these women? Even today in my 30s I may see her at the grocery store and we smile at each other but I can’t just pull her aside in the cereal isle.

I find it interesting after reading so many posts where women basically say they fear shy men. So they fear a guy who fears them. Funny enough it may be comforting for some of these guys. “She rejected me because she is afraid not because I’m not masculine enough” I think it’s difficult to think this way because men tend to see the confident aggressive type to be danger more than the shy indecisive one. I suspect that would be the case if we were to poll a scenario of being approached by another…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 01:34 PM

I won’t get in to this but it is interesting how male and female teachers treat a student losing a parent. You are more likely to get that vibe of the show must go on with the men while the women tend to apologize and focus on the emotional aspect of what you’re going through.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 08:21 PM

So back in the 90s we know scientists confirmed cooties and that girls have them. But has research since been done to define what exactly cooties is? I think that’s how I knew I was straight. The excitement/fear response to the presence of this phenomenon.

We live in a society that talks about dating constantly. People talk about spouses, and the things they did and will do. They talk about dates, weddings, children. They talk about sex. I haven’t even mentioned the media, from books to movies and now the social media. These men want to experience this, and they can’t talk about it offline I am sure. Remember one more thing that you always read on this sub: Look outside and you will see couples everywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 04:03 AM

You would have to specify which area of dating. In a general sense it is communication that I see as a common issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 04:21 AM

So let’s go with social skills. You have to be specific man, you have a dozen women in here asking you for specifics.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 11:55 PM

This is fair but you realize you are doing the same things you complain about. You are telling a man “sure but you’re wrong this is what men actually want and think!” Like okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 06:48 PM
6

You are missing the existence of cheating. It’s not that they don’t care about monogamy. It is that they want to lower the chances of being cheated on. It doesn’t matter because people cheat for tons of different reasons, often nothing to do with the cheated person. I am only pointing out why these men want to feel sexy to their spouse and not simply a good man.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 05:04 PM
37

I think his point is that many men want to be husband material and sexy to their spouse. He is addressing two different things and making a connection: First that all women have had a hookup. Even if it was a drunken spring break years ago it still happened. Second it is I assume guys like him who have never had a hookup. If they are able to get married he will still feel undesirable unsexy due to this. “Every woman I could potentially marry has had her ‘mistake’, but never have I been a woman’s…

Fast food isn’t cheap anymore. I live in one of the most expensive parts of the country where everything is expensive. The days of grabbing a meal at McDonald’s for under 5 dollars is long gone, even $10.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/24 10:25 PM

I understand where you are coming from. I was just trying to help explain since I read a lot here, many times women focus on their interaction not understanding the man isn’t frustrated with you personally. I also don’t think he wants advice either, people aren’t logical when they are frustrated. When someone gives me the finger while driving I know it isn’t because of anything happening on this specific road.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/24 04:51 PM
3

I think their frustrations are not about your interaction but a series of next women over the years. But what makes it even worse for them is the friends and or relatives that they see. Guys dating long term, short term, various types of women during those same years. This leads them to thinking in frustration that maybe there is a common type of attraction among women.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 05:36 PM

It’s just poor wording on their part. An example would be a woman wanting an educated man. She might prefer a man with a college degree who stopped reading 10 years ago. Vs a man who dropped out 10 years ago but reads daily. So it is not education they want but to not feel embarrassed by dating a drop out.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 02:19 PM

I don’t get your point on paternity. If the guy doesn’t act right away he’s on the hook forever. Like telling women to be okay with a short deadline for abortions or reporting assault.

Men typically are open to both, they are not strictly focused on one. There could and usually is a different bar for a relationship but if he wants one and all she wants is sex that is still a good deal.

Thanks for the reminder. I am 34 and do all the housework, can cook, clean, pay all my bills and remember every appointment. I am a Single dad doing what Reddit feminists says men don’t do. But physically I look young as a skinny guy with no beard. It makes it worse because I want to date women in their 30s.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 05:00 PM

The other point to consider is from his point of view: confidence in abilities. Being friends and chatting with women is good but if you feel you are only wanted for friendship you can lack the confidence needed thus ensuring you are only able to create more friends. If you work entry level jobs for 20 years you have 20 years of experience but no confidence to hit the mid level or senior market.

Some people sleep with stuffed animals, some with guns, others with a significant other. I sleep with books, I have three on my bed right now. People look out for themselves. The thing is with Reddit there is a strong push to virtue signal. And of course people will try to discourage others if it could lead to inconvenience, if they can do it in a virtue signaling way awesome. I read many posts about lying to get a job and how wrong it is. Lying got me that first opportunity in a proper field. It got me a 27k raise and as a single father with no help I had to take matters in my own hands.

Considering the demographics here it makes sense. I spent majority of my life in low income neighborhoods. The women had to be tough and the men even tougher. Unless he is a cop his job doesn’t say anything about how he will treat you. It’s more communicating to see how he views and treats others, specifically people he isn’t trying to attract. Depends. If you have some support like living with parents (the comparison being having friends of the opposite sex) it can be easier to interview. If you have no support each rejection causes more stress. Interviewing is a lot less stressful when you already have a job to pay the bills and just need more (money of course but also maybe flexibility and other benefits). There is less pressure. So therefore and I’ll get hate but the similar concept is having a casual arrangement with a woman you find ugly but can sleep with here and there first before you seek dating for a girlfriend. I’m not saying it should be done but it will take the pressure off.

Both sides have zero empathy and pretend to hate the other sex. I say pretend because they clearly don’t hate them, but they focus on the worst experiences with the opposite sex when communicating on here, ignoring all the decent people most of whom we all are on both sides here. I don’t think the people here are the problematic ones contained in all the anecdotes. But it is Reddit it is a debate sub so I guess there shouldn’t be any sense of community nor any strive to solutions.

What you call hookup culture is just normal dating in America. There are so many people different variations mentally and physically, so for someone to be outcast it really doesn’t make logical sense. The population is larger than ever why so many lonely people.

I think what they are saying is it’s not equal. I can understand I am skinny 95% of interest comes from fat women. I don’t mind dating a chubby woman but you talking about equals I don’t see. The girl who skips lunch and eats 2 meals a day tops is dating muscular men, the one who drinks sodas all day at her desk and uses the elevator when the stairs are not that intense is my equal?

That is a function of Reddit. “How do I get out of help desk” “Just build a home lab bro! Go to r/homelabs” You go there and it’s just pics of dusty equipment bought off eBay. No dig deeper, write a list of things you love doing, like but not love, may be open to doing not completely against etc. then Google those things in your area for a way to do them with others, or discuss them with others OFFLINE.

Maybe because I live in a liberal area but actually I work in IT and 2/3 closest teammates are women. Men and women are not complete opposites in 2023. Relationships are also enjoyable for men, but they don’t enjoy relationships that are one sided. They don’t want a woman that implies she wants a relationship just to be in a relationship. The advice for OP and maybe you since you seem personally invested in this subject is to work on her self esteem. Same advice given to lonely men. The ugly women I see married don’t seem woe is me and that makes them much more attractive. Both sides are similar and act special here.

The assumption here is that all men are selfish in bed. I’m not in this argument either way but I find this thinking strange. I have had one night stands and it never felt one sided, we both wanted and pleased each other. There was a huge thread here yesterday stressing the fact that women do indeed enjoy sex. Reddit broke for a bit and now we are back to claiming sex is for men’s pleasure only?

Well I am a man and I disagree, it is too expensive to have another adult live rent free with you, or to pay for all outings yourself. Notice I said good not great income. I am talking a slim man and woman both making 60-70k in the city.

In America the ratio might not be even. If you’re a skinny guy making good but not great money. The equal would be a skinny woman making the same right? Reality is most attention is from heavy women or really broke women. In order to attract the equal you would need to build muscle or wealth. These guys probably feel that’s not right and have the means and lack of family/employment ties to seek elsewhere.

I don’t know who to respond to so I’ll throw it here. This thread has a communication issue. When women say they appreciate good men as loving fathers, hard workers, advocates for justice, inventors of quality of life technology, entertainment creators etc. but don’t see them sexually. Men will focus on that very last bit. Because other men and female relatives will show you appreciation for all those other things. What many men especially here are uncertain of is the sexual part. Nothing wrong with not dating promiscuous women or single mothers due to baggage or poor decision making. You reason seems to be feeling inadequate compared to other men. That insecurity is also baggage that can lead to poor decisions with women you do find acceptable. Just my two cents, maybe because I’m a father but if I help another kid I feel the opposite of a loser, kids are the definition of innocent in this cruel world.

I’m listening and this is going to sound like an excuse People socialize at the beach with the groups they came with. Maybe it’s different in CA or FL but in New England it’s not a socialize with strangers place. Women in their 30s are rightfully weary of going to a house for a first or second date. I’ll look in to the other nature stuff. It often feels like you have to have a group formed already as an in, or you pay an entry fee. In my case I have to pay the fee.

Your last line hit the mail on the head. Socialization. When I was an alcoholic with unstable or no income, car, living with my dad I had a much more active sec life. That is in comparison to now with a stable and nice apartment, car, job, and sobriety. The difference is when I drank I talked to strangers every day, I hit on women impulsively at times. I’m reading you two going back and forth and wondering if the same applies to household chores? Women seem to think it’s not possible to find a man who does house chores but we exist. I think this is the same with many men who don’t think they have a choice but to marry in a ltr. Basically people don’t vet and don’t set personal boundaries and believe tales they hear growing up….this is the case of both genders.

I don’t get your point? If I said drinking when you are depressed is a bad choice does the fact millions do it change the facts?
