Haha totally. Judging by the number of under 30 artists whom I follow on Instagram, the male to female ratio is quite high. But, the female to male ratio of women pumping out of art school is higher.

It just depends on the photographer tbh. A successful photographer can use a point and shoot and be famous and fuck models. Just refer to Terry Richardson for that.

Art photography is very much so a thing. The guy below me talking about senior portraits is right. I'm talking about photographers like Tina Barney, Dorothea Langue, Mary Ellen Mark, Francesca Woodman, Cindy Sherman, Nan Goldin, Sally Mann. I think you get it. These are all women who have had a very large impact on photography and its influence in the art world.
