If you have her number or email address, just send a message saying you had a great time and she's free to give you a ring anytime for another, and then leave it at that. Maybe she'll call, maybe she won't, whatever, it's in her hands. But getting pushy/needy is a surefire way to never hear from her again.

Send a polite message thanking her for a fun evening and letting her know that if she wants to meet up again for whatever, you're game, and then leave it be. She might ring you up again in a month or two, she might not.

Or even at certain times of the night, if the moon is up. Or ffs, our van has a compass built into the rear view mirror. I love my wife, but she can't read a map to save her life. Drives me crazy because I usually do the driving if it's both of us, and I've got a navigator about as useful as tits on a bull. "Find me a gas station vaguely in the direction we're headed". I might as well ask her to teleport.

My wife still looks back fondly on one of the first dates I took her on. The "epic date" she calls it. Rock climbing, then dinner at Tijuana Flats, then a movie (Wall-E), then a few hours of swing dancing. All told it was like 8 or 9 hours. Got that girl home exhausted and very happy.

Self copypasta about this subject This why "no sex until marriage" is so stupid. For all you know, you're vanilla as hell, and he'll invent 6 new kinks before breakfast. Or he's asexual, and you turn out to be gay. There is literally not one non-physical aspect of a relationship that normal people will deliberately avoid exploring, like money, religion, kids. But when it comes to sex, suddenly it's head-in-the-sand time. I wish such people luck, because that's pretty much what they're betting it…

Depends. If he's simply clueless that I'm with her, then I just watch with an expression of endless amusement on my face. If he's actually butting in, then I reply "No, you're Leaving". I am a dad, after all. That sort of thing is expected.

I've never danced before so I don't think doing it in front of a class is a really smart idea. I'll be honest, getting up out onto the floor for that very first dance class was the hardest damned thing I have ever been faced with. But I am so beyond glad that I did.

Man, I never could get the hang of spotting, so Lindy always makes me dizzy. But I do love my East Coast Swing.

Yes, do it. Doooooo it! Private lessons are expensive, anywhere from $40-100 for an hour. I never took anything but cheapo group classes, usually $5-10, which often included admission to a dance event afterwards. It probably took me a little longer to pick it up that way, but it's doable. I don't live in Chicago so I couldn't say. But Tampa Bay was loaded with dance studios, so I don't imagine the windy city would be any different. What's really funny is that if we're hanging out with the dancin…

So fucking this. Once upon a time I went to 3 weddings and a family reunion over the course of a few months, and I couldn't dance at any of them. So I started taking lessons (swing, ballroom, latin styles), and it was the best goddamned thing I ever did. I wish I'd started 10 or 15 years earlier, before high school, even. And when I started, I had to aspire to having two left feet. If I can learn it, absolutely anyone can. I will also be making sure all my kids can at least be comfortable out on…

Be awesome. Don't be not awesome. I say this as a guy who met my wife's parents for the first time after having already knocked her up and eloped. A little politeness, some appreciation for the m-i-l's cooking, and an ability to fix their computers and do home repairs seemed to do the trick.

One of the first dates I went on with my wife, she still refers to it as "the epic date". Movie, dinner, rock climbing, swing dancing.

I had a girl do this. Couple nice dates, then calls and emails disappear into the void. We were both active in the local dance scene, so I still saw her around, and I flat-out asked her if I should bother continuing to try. She didn't even have the courage to say no. Eventually just had to give up and move on.

I'm white, but I was approached/flirted with/hit on most by black women. They always really liked my blue eyes. Go figure.

Long-term monogamous relationships with a partner who is trustworthy, not-crazy, and reliable about their birth control (pill, IUD, implant), or you have had a vasectomy.

Was gonna say this. Just tell her to go someplace. If it's not your house, be sure to not to be there on time.

There's a neat and easy trick I saw on /r/LearnUselessTalents for splitting a deck one-handed. Would recommend for this as well. http://www.reddit.com/r/LearnUselessTalents/comments/2vyiku/how_to_cut_a_deck_of_cards_with_only_one_hand/

The whole point of shit tests is that there often is no way to "pass". Every response can and probably will be interpreted in some way that will reinforce how she already wants to think of you. Only winning move is not to play.

Eh, shit happens, stuff comes up. Now if she makes a habit of it, and starts simply not returning calls/emails/texts at all, that's something else. Some girls are simply too chickenshit to tell you when it's over and just start ignoring you, hoping you'll take the hint. Had that happen to me once. Not fun, but a good learning experience.

I would have given her a mulligan on that one. If she kept hemming and hawing after that, then yeah, move on. But I think you messed up here.

If you're gonna have a stalker, a cruise is probably the best place for it. Sure, you can't get away, but then this isn't your real life, either. You've got a girl who can't stop thinking about you. Score! Go ahead and revel in it until the cruise is over, and then nope the fuck outta there. Don't give her your real last name or phone number, obviously.

I started taking social dancing lessons (swing, latin, ballroom, etc) about 10 years ago, and my only regret is that I didn't start 10 years before that. Best thing I ever did.

It's not uncommon for there to be no good way to respond, either. They may not even realize they're doing it, testing you and judging you based on your response, much less that every possible answer would paint you negatively. Hence the usual advice is to simply dismiss such questions. "The only winning move is not to play"

“This is now 2013,” he says. “I'm 67 years old and living on Social Security. Judge Gorman told me every time I went to court to get a job.” Under the new law, alimony payments are to end when the payor reaches "full retirement age," which it defines as the age at which one is eligible to receive full federal benefits. Though it used to be 65, the retirement age has risen, and according to the Social Security Administration, Young's full retirement age is 66, based on the year he was born, 1946.…

<shrug> Probably. Moot point now. Doubt I get more than one or two zits a month these days, that same facial soap and a splash of aftershave wipes it right off.

My father had terrible acne and atrocious scarring. Mine wasn't much better. As far as I'm aware, it's never been an issue.

I seem to have been the exception here, or possibly they just weren't as awesome in my teen years 15-20 years ago. Weirdly, they gave me this cream that was supposed to burn like hell ("Brought grown men to their knees" was what he said); I slathered that stuff on like it was water, never felt so much as a tickle. Only thing I ever found that helped was clean pillow cases and regular use of a particular facial soap.

Yeah, it wasn't till my last semester at GaTech that discovered where all the women were at. GO from my 60:1 ratio in Design of Operating Systems class to a 1:2 ratio in International Affairs. Live and learn.

it is obvious that if shoe was on the other foot it wouldn't be a crime - its her body and her child. Which would be fine... except that every court in the country would tell the father that it is also his and he needs to pay up for it as well.

Pretty much. Anyone familiar with Ladder Theory knows what's really going on here. If a guy has a female friend and doesn't want to have sex with her, it's only because he is currently getting laid by someone higher up on his ladder.

Wait, the (presumably) single girl was telling you to hook up with the attached girl? And the attached girl at no point dropped "my boyfriend" into conversation? Bitches be crazy.

And how is that in any way relevant to why "shoulda kept it in your pants" only ever seems to be applied to men? If anyone ever tells a woman that, they are invariably some religious anti-sex fundie bent on denying all sexual freedom to women.

Women buy them, too. They also have hormonal birth control, diaphragms, IUDs, and when push comes to shove, abortion and adoption. Why does the existence of birth control mean anything different for men than it does for women?
