This tends to be prominent among people with careers where they have a ton of responsibility and are accountable; C-level executives and such. Ton of control in their day-to-day life that the release from that is cathartic. Someone mentioned you'd have your work cut out for you and I think a big factor to this is being able to consistently demonstrate to your partner that capacity for control in the rest of your life if the bedroom is not where it will be on display.

I wholeheartedly agree that we're wired differently but just because someone operates differently doesn't necessitate dehumanizing them and renouncing that people often deserve respect. Do you regard your own family members this callously too?

You demonstrated high investment and it may have turned her off. Wait for a while without contacting her and then reach out in a couple weeks if you haven't heard from her. In the meantime, find some new girls and apply the lesson you learned.

You want intimacy, not just sex. Nothing wrong with that. Need someone to fuck your brain too, not just ride the dick.

Sounds like you're more upset about your drinking then your actions. The comments have well established the consequences of what you did are not worth dwelling on but next time you drink be better concerned with moderation so you can make better decisions. Getting too drunk happens, it will happen again, but you'll be better prepared to avoid it moving forward.

Yeah, more or less. A lot of general social wisdom but definitely geared toward dating. Fair bit of it's garbage but equally as much is sage advice.

I've thought of money as simply a means to save time but only in circumstances of extreme wealth, never explicitly like this. I find it harder to keep the abstraction consistent in cases of poverty where it simply means survival but then again, not dying is time preserved too. Thank you for the food for thought. This might have a dramatic effect on my outlook moving forward.

Absolutely. We use specific body language when we feel confident and powerful. It's not a one way street though and powerful, confident body language will have the same effect in us mentally. Here is a fantastic TED talk in the subject.

I think you get diminishing returns on the younger is better. Depends if you just want a fuck or company but 19 year olds have relatively little life experience and are far less relatable. I believe older women are polarized in terms of character. You'll have the ones that never had anything but good youthful looks and when that fades are hollow because they used their appeal as a crutch through life but then others that have developed personalities that only the experiences of life can hone. De…

Coming home and being around people who only know the "old you" is incredibly depressing. Show them the new you then. If your only way to fill the time is lift, new you is just having new friends. Prove that wrong. What are your hobbies with your new friends? Do those things and invite old friends along. If they aren't interested in any of those things evaluate, do you like your hobbies or the companionship more? Then either find a middle ground or spend more time doing your own thing.

You don't seem bothered by her changing your plans but you are that she fucked someone else. Need to straighten your priorities. Your time and attention is valuable, the relationship you two have is not. Why do you think she flaked? Probably because she just wanted to have fun and you're invested. Take a step back and figure out what's really important.

You've made yourself available a couple of times and she passed on it. If she wants to take you up on the offer she will let you know when she's free and find a mutually agreeable time. In the meantime, you assume the ship has sailed and keep living your life to the fullest. Find another friend to go bowling with. Edit: I know you aren't OP but I used the original situation as context.

This screams orbiter. You won't be there waiting for her to be bored because you lead an exciting life and another opportunity will have presented itself. You'll have old girls hitting you up and hoping that you can find some time to spend with them. You wait for no one. Time is too short.

Maybe her perspective changed later on or she might not have ever been sincerely interested. Sometimes it's easier to appease in person then backtrack later on.

Yeah, absolutely agreed. By many I just meant that there is a category of people who are susceptible to video games as a detrimental medium specifically. I acknowledge that was a bit ambiguous.
/r/TheRedPill09/02/18 05:59 AM
4

I think that's a gross generalization. I'm someone who struggles with moderation for video games and recently had to cut them out completely because it was impacting my personal and professional obligations. I don't have any problems regulating drinking or other potentially addictive habits however. On the other hand, some people have no problems with games but struggle with other things. Some mediums can be specifically detrimental because everyone is unique. Video games falls within that categ…

Honestly, the relationship with the wife was garbage the entire time but the bond with the kids would still be the same. I wouldn't want to completely check out because there is so much more there regarding the children that can't be erased by the revelation. Then again, they are also 20 at this point so not dependent. Thailand wouldn't be so bad.
/r/TheRedPill17/12/17 08:06 PM

If you got into a long term relationship with someone who already had children and you raised those kids for 18 years, they would still be your kids in your mind. Biologically no but he was still the only father they ever really knew. To those children and how their lives were impacted, their real dad was nothing but a sperm donor.

While I disagree wholeheartedly about working out not being self-improvement, we're on the same page about people being motivated by women more than they should.

Dictionary.com says "improvement of one's mind, character, etc., through one's own efforts." I don't understand the disconnect.

Self-improvement isn't just for women, they are a side-effect of being the best you can be. If you are only going to take care of yourself because you want to get laid, you're going to be an unfulfilled and lonely person.

Good work recognizing that you're in anger phase. It can be easy to get caught up in that. I'm going to play devil's advocate and say that there isn't anything wrong with attention seeking, it's why the attention is being sought. I think a lot of people (attention seekers especially) don't really analyze it deeper. What do you do with the attention once you receive it? Most people seek it for validation which is the crux of the issue which you nailed. Ideally you want to internalize as much of y…

Become a polarizing individual. You will never attract or please everyone in the world and trying to makes you boring as hell. If you become more bold, brazen, more you, the ones that are interested will be more outwardly interested and the ones that aren't you can assess immediately and not invest time in a lost pursuit.

I suggest reading the book No More Mr. Nice Guy for a more complete exposition of what he's trying to get at. The thing is that the majority of Nice guys(tm) are nice so that by the grace of their nice behaviour people will give them what they want. They get frustrated for not achieving their desires despite being the perfect gentleman for people. They put others first as a strategy to accomplish their goals instead of putting themselves first. The result is unflattering, needy, and people who b…

Those that feel the most out of place likely need this place the most. If one bad comment exchange pushes you out of a community then you're also likely to leave a bar too after getting denied at an approach. I'm not sure what your posts said because they were deleted but stick it out and lurk for a while. Honestly lacking the bitterness is the healthiest thing for this sub. Without a stream of healthily adjusted recruits this place will become an echo chamber for pissed off 'victims'. This post might be an unpopular opinion but this is how I see things. A lot of these people are frustrated and angry because they've have had experiences they can't rationalise. Truth be told most of them should only be angry at themselves and channel it to better themselves. People angry at women are playing victim…

I'll entertain the idea to always hold frame so let's establish motivations now. What does he want from this girl? Absolutely nothing. She has demonstrated that she's a lunatic and any relation will be surely severed at this point. He wants her to leave so he can get on with his business. To stick to his frame he needs to follow through with this demand and remove her from his property. He can't physically escort her out of his house without losing frame and more importantly rational fear of the…

I'm not enjoying it because a lot of it isn't unwarranted. There have already been countless reports of harassment and assaults by racist and bigoted supporters and those are very real and terrifying for the people impacted. It's not just the opposition that is deluded about what Trump will do but also his most impassioned and extremist supporters who think that his success means a free ticket to openly harass and assault minorities. Psychedelics are a strange beast though. It is hard to regard it exclusively as escapism because if you are tripping with intention for personal development you'll be brought face to face with all the issues you normally just keep in the back of your mind and don't give much thought.

I wouldn't say DMT is as valuable for person development because of how intense it is. It's abrupt and so jarring that you can't really ponder the things in your life you'd like to improve, only hold on and enjoy the ride. It's likely to promote a lot of existential questions but less so ones applicable for personal growth.

I don't see what the big deal is and the response to this post is ridiculous. You all sound insecure as fuck. The most logical explanation is that the photo was sent by the wife herself using some temporary number or something. Perhaps one of the other 2 girls the pictured women are with has a plan and took the photo. The caption was a damn smiley face. They're having fun and figured she'd send her husband a photo. Do you exercise? Get out of the house and work up a sweat. Go to a park and do pull ups until your arms fall off. Run til you pass out. Wake up, eat, and get out there. This will help your mood from the exercise, give you good time to think things through while you get over things, improve your physical fitness, and get you out of the house.

He has had some fallout from companies that are no longer working with him but because he's such a successful business man, those conpanies are just drops in the bucket. Other people would not be able to jeopardize such relations but he doesn't have to worry that way. It's mind boggling how successful of a campaign it has been. It's fuck you money. If another candidate just as confident went up and said any of the shit Trump has, the guy would be demolished if he didn't have the bank locked down that Trump has. He definitely has that deeply rooted character about him though and I guarantee it was a critical piece of the puzzle to making his fortune. That being said, regarding his campaign, the money is monumental because he can afford the fallout. Not giving a fuck doesn't make you immune to consequence.
