0	Late response I'm honestly suggesting that the English language is a very complex and somewhat contradictory system. And yes, one word can dramatically change the tone and meaning of a statement. Oversimplified example: "Fuck you" and "Love you". One word change, vastly different sentiment. The inclusion of "Sorry", if put in the proper context does not make you look like a bitch or desperate. 1	How soon can you tell whether or not she's someone you'd actually want to talk to? Do keep in mind that people aren't at their most interesting and appealing right when you first meet them. People are typically more polite, proper, and less loose the first few times they talk to someone. I'd say you have to give it a few good conversations to really tell if someone is interesting to be around. 1	Late response If you are actually into this girl, saying "Hey I've been busy." Comes across as. "Yeah, I've been busy. Deal with it. You're not a priority for me." Which makes you look a bit of a dick. Saying "Sorry, I've been busy." Doesn't make you look pathetic, it just expresses regret that you have not been able to talk with her as much as you'd like.
