Simplicity is always the safest policy. Need a simple way to solve oneitis? Just shoot her!

Yes, but don't worry about it. Those who aren't interested in you based on your ethnicity wouldn't have gelled with with you anyway. So think of it as an awesome filter to find people that'll really make you satisfied.

I wish I had read this a few days earlier...

This is the only correct answer. Just present yourself as you are, and let them take it or leave it. If they're not into who you are as a person, that's fine, because you wouldn't have been happy with them anyway.

Take advantage of it. It means you can do backflips easier. Practice them so that you're able to pull them off on the spot. Maybe it'll come in handy one day.

You can't control other people, but you can control how you respond.

I won't doubt your sincerity, but don't get too hopeful because she vented to you. It's common for people to mistake an emotional discussion for romantic/intimate thoughts, because us males don't usually talk about feelings with our other fellow men. Women have a higher tendency to talk to their lady friends (and hence their friends, male or female, in general) about their emotions, so it doesn't mean anything if she shares those things with you. This is where a lot of guys get it wrong and thin…

If I take all that away from you, would you still feel the same way? Maybe women seem like the cake because you're already pretty secure in every other aspect. Like the hierarchy of needs, or something.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
