I'm sure he's very worried about how he looked to a girl who cheated on him

The Mods are gonna take this down, but it's a good post. Sometimes, our best efforts are underappreciated and successful.

You seem to have this perception that I think society should do whatever I ask of it simply because I'm a special snowflake. In fact, that is the complete opposite point I made. We shouldn't expect anyone to give us anything, we have to take matters into our own hands.

That's entirely my point. Did you even read the post?

I do love that book, but this was a reference to Meditations in an Emergency by Frank O' Hara, one of my favorite poets and a man who rejected what society taught him. He did have Onetis for Jane, but I can look past it.

Haha, the mental image of some pub team defender just standing out of the way of the other teams striker is a great visual.

I don't think wanting someone who shares your drive and tenacity is a inherently BP concept. What is BP though is to expect a woman to share it with you. The only girl I've ever met who was ambitious was my sister. My father wasn't, by dictionary definition, 'redpill' but he was a very hard worker, a mindset he tried to extol on his children. My sister is ambitious because she thinks like a man. That is the only way a girl can be ambitious. Patrice O'Neal said you have to 'teach your girl, so sh…

We are surrounded by stuff. Most of it, bought to impress women. Or, if not that, to provide momentary pleasure. Marcus Aurelius, one TRP's first members and a stoic, preached denial of the self, or holding off on quick pleasure for long term gain. It's like when you go workout instead of eating chips. Quick pleasure VS Long Term Gain. If we deny ourselves simple pleasures and focus more on long term investment, won't that aid our development in the future?

Think about what Aurelius said. Look around you. If other people are talented, cherish it, even if you are not skilled in that field at all. If people are weak in areas, cherish that as well, as it helps you appreciate the diamonds that you see in your life. Never wallow in self pity. Move on, stay focussed on whatever task is in front of you, like a true Roman would.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
