The only time I ever asked this, it was out of anxiety and low self esteem. I say don't even ask. Don't tolerate any talk of ex-boyfriends or old flames. It's of no benefit to you and you don't need to know. However, when I've really wanted to know, it's to confirm what I already fear: that she slutted it up big time and I'm not super cool about it.

What about civil partnerships? In AU where I am from you live with a girl for 6 months or more and you're practically married anyway. So do we just maintain our own place so we can protect ourselves?

That sucks. The one I'm referring to wasn't my first LTR, but it was the one I was most attached to. I had severe oneitis for this girl. I seriously thought we were going to get married and that it was perfect etc, etc, even as the walls were crumbling around me. I wanted to end it because she was fucking pissing me off in a big way but I just held on hoping it would 'work out'. In the end she made the call, but I felt half an inch away from doing the same. I was in huge denial. After this, I di…

Same deal here. "Oh you're so NICE and CARING", but then why the slow decline into disrespect? I'm glad I found this sub. It put a lot of things in to context for me, and now I can focus on being a man and assert what I want, and not feel guilty doing so.

Oh, that story is a long one. A cautionary tale ripe full of me being a huge Beta. I'll have a couple of beers and type it up.

The good ol' brigade. I notice your comments are getting massively downvoted now. Very much adds weight to your argument I think. It just goes to show you can't even talk about it without getting punished by default. P.S. Enjoy your gold :)

I had an ex who was like this. I'm glad that shit is over and done with. It wasn't until I came across TRP I could put it in to proper perspective, but I was very resentful that "all the fun has been had", and well, I was a 26 year old chump on a six figure salary who could buy her a house. I had the same reaction as this beta, I was pissed. But I put up with it, for a while.

I think it's got more to do with 'a good fit' between partners. I'd say it's a bit like comparing heights, you've got a range and a distribution and some line up well and others do not. There are so many other things you can do to improve bedroom tactics, I'd focus on those and just see how things 'fit' in the other regard.

I knew what they were I didn't know there was a term for it.

I've been in the military and it does make you fit as fuck. But you're so busy and often so tied up and so far away from civilization it's not worth it in terms of RP. In military towns, everyone else is either a) in the military or b) a civilian surrounded by people in the military. So your SMV doesn't increase because everyone is thin and fit and aggressive, and all the women are surrounded by these types. When you head back to your hometown and meet up with your old friends, that is the shock…

TRP got me off my arse drinking a six pack a day and back to the gym. Luckily I've been very fit before so I'm not starting from zero, but fuck it feels good to lift things again. I'm giving myself the 6-12 months to sort my shit out and get that SMV then I'm gonna hit the circuit and see how we go.

There's more to the story, but that's the basics of it. The moral? NEVER wife up a slut. Adam is super lucky he didn't have children with Eve - or else he would have been FUCKED. I had oneitis for this bird once and I'm so glad I didn't marry her or have kids. Jesus. In a similar vein she had done the carousel and I felt like she was settling for me because I made mad cash at 27. It was a constant worry but either way, in the end, it was all over. Looking back it was the best thing to have happe…

I'm 31 and I'm only starting to understand this. Sometimes the wealthiest people are driving the crappiest cars (i.e. my old boss, millionare and drives a 5k piece of crap). Instead of buying all the things I try to buy the right things, stuff that will last, and no more than I need. I've also discovered that window shopping is just as fun as buying stuff, but without the loss of cash or the inevitable guilt post purchase! Having cash in the bank means that it's less likely someone can fuck you.…

New to RP, and a follow up question. Given that the nature of Men is that they can love unconditionally, and the nature of Women is to only be able to love their Children like a Man can love a Women, it's normal for guys to be hurt by this situation, despite the fact that we might know the reality intellectually?

Given that she had a lot of money, even if it was a big fare it shouldn't have been a big deal. I'm guessing she has entertained clients before, and knows what her limits are and didn't get so drunk she couldn't get in a cab. I've been extremely drunk in the past but I can always get a cab home without it being a huge issue. So yeah, I call bullshit. No excuse for not getting a cab.
